Do not trust WP Activity Log company!

Do not trust this company. Worst software ever.

I purchased WP Activity Log a year ago. Soon after that, I realized there is an issue. The plugin doesn't send email notifications. The email notification feature is what we need to keep editors in the loop in case unauthorized activity happens.

I contacted WP Activity Log support several times and tried my best to describe the issue. They replied to me repeatedly and said there is no bug in the plugin, the issue is from the notification logic setup. I trusted them, followed their configuration instruction, and didn't ask again.

One year later, my editor noticed that some images were deleted but she didn't receive notifications. I spent almost 2 days testing the plugin, eventually, I can 100% confirm the email notification doesn't work.

Since it didn't work, our editor wasn't notified. That means someone needs to manually examine 2815 articles published in the last year. That's a lot of extra work that people cannot imagine unless they manage a website.

On their website, it says:
Do you offer refunds?
Yes we do! We stand behind the quality of our product and will refund 100% of your money if you experience an issue that makes the plugin unusable and we are unable to resolve it.

I paid in total twice for the plugin for both last year and this year. Considering they did not resolve the issue for over a year. I have every right to ask for a refund.

I contacted their support for a refund. They refused. Instead, they stick a one-year extra license to me (which shows they acknowledge their the one at fault.)

The thing is, the one-year extra license will not cover the time and money I will have to spend to examine articles due to WP Activity Log disfunction. Because of the unreliability, I don't plan to continue using it anyway.

In sum, their refund policy listed on the website is a lie. They don't audit the bug report properly. Took a year to fix. Customer supports false state the software quality and condition. And leave all the damages to website owners.

I have all the email conversation evidence.
