Will not stop calling

We had our home valued by William H Brown (Long Sutton) Since then they have bombarded us with unwanted sales calls.

We have asked on at least 10 occasions to no longer be contacted which they assure us wont happen again, only to be contacted a few weeks later by a different person.

This has been going on for about a year now and they are still ignoring our requests to no longer be contacted. It is straight up harassment at this point.

I would highly recommend everyone avoids this company.

This relates to the Pudsey Branch.

This relates to the Pudsey Branch.

Most staff were unhelpful and rude, which we put down to us being first time buyers. At initial stages of the house purchase I feel that they didn’t take us seriously and didn’t even bother returning phone calls when we were putting offers in.
Hazel was the only staff member at the pudsey branch we felt wanted to help us. she was polite, helpful and so kindhearted. We want to thank her so so much for all her hard work with our stressful house buying process. We wouldn’t have been able to do it without her.

Wibsey Branch - Arin Filiz

Arin and Stacey thank you for the help and support throughout.
Arin was polite and was able to run through any queries which I had. I can say that it was a smooth process and without encountering any difficulties. I can highly recommend Arin and Stacey at the Wibsey Branch.

Would never use William H. Brown again …

This relates to the Huddersfield branch …We sold our house a few months ago and the service we received was appalling.
I could go into so much detail of how bad the whole process was but to keep a long story short they were excellent for us up until they have your money.
The stress and pressure put on us because of the poor service was awful: I have waited a few months to calm down but still wanted to make sure other people don’t have the same experience.

Alan Abdah - Excellent Service

Alan Abdah showed me around a house in The Willows in Stevenage and while the house wasn't for myself or my partner, Alan was fantastic. He answered any and every question we had, he was incredibly polite and professional and represented William H Brown excellently. Whilst the house wasn't for me, the service Alan provided was second to none and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a property.

Never Again!

We made the unfortunate decision to go with the Ely branch to sell our home, that was the first mistake!!.... they just could not put right, all that was wrong with the write up, description of our home/photos etc that was needed to sell our property.... we signed a contract to use their services for 20 weeks, but because of our complaint, they cancelled our contract immediately.... never will we use this company again....

Buster Made the Impossible…

Buster Made the Impossible Possible!
From start to finish, he went above and beyond to help me secure a property—fast. I had just received a job offer in Norwich and needed to move within three days, which seemed impossible given my previous experiences with other letting agencies. But Buster made it happen effortlessly.

His professionalism, speed, and genuine dedication to helping me were unmatched. While others gave excuses or delays, Buster worked tirelessly, taking extra time to guide me through the process and ensure everything was done quickly and smoothly. Thanks to him, I got the keys to my new apartment in record time.

Beyond his efficiency, Buster is simply a joy to deal with—friendly, positive, and always willing to go the extra mile. His kind of service is rare, and I genuinely believe he is one of the best in the business. If you’re looking for a new home, do yourself a favour and ask for Buster. You will not regret it.

Buster, you are a great person—thank you for everything!

Unseeing

I was pleased when W Brown originally came round to assess the house to put it on the market.

I then got the description to sign off. It was totally inaccurate - giving me 2 extra rooms that weren't there, incorrect flooring and extra sinks in the bathroom. The floor plan was faulty too.

When I pointed this out, I got no apology just a parting of the ways.

Extremely Unprofessional

They got angry at my 80 year old grandma for using someone more reliable and they didn't like it at all, they slated the pictures she used saying that they were awful, threatening her saying that the house won't sell and slating the other realtors we used, when we didn't want to talk to them they said that they would call us back this evening instead, blocked their number straight away for very threatening language

Nothing to dislike

Nothing to dislike. Just a cautionary tale that I think everyone should be aware of. Lovely lady came to give me a valuation. She told me I should expect between 220000 to 225000 if we had the right people viewing. I went with a different agent and just completed at 255000

Poor communication

Poor communication, no consistency in information between employees, you have to constantly chase them for follow-ups - just generally very poor service.

They know that the rental market is tough and a property will always be filled, so they just don't care. Every time I was actually in their Norwich office, I saw or heard them arguing terribly with customers over the phone and then laughing about it afterwards.

Seems like such a toxic environment, and certainly not who you want to be dealing with when you're in the vulnerable or sometimes desperate situation of trying to find somewhere to rent. Avoid, if you can.

DO NOT EXPECT YOUR DEPOSIT BACK

The problem with William H Brown is that they are owned by Sequence UK Ltd - read their reviews - even worse than WHB!
From a tenants point of view- do not let via WHB - cannot stress this enough!
We rented - all was great to start but then........ ANY maintenance issues will be ignored - so you are on your own to fix - we had three separate leaks through the roof - all reported and ignored.
But the biggest issue is below.....
At the end of your tenancy DO NOT EXPECT YOUR DEPOSIT BACK.
Sequence UK Ltd will act on behalf of the landlord to make ficticious charges on production of your end of tenancy report - they do not have the tenants interest.
What they will do is ask you to go through the Tenancy Deposit Scheme and endless months of pointless negotiations to try and salvage your deposit. As an example we had the property professionally cleaned - the report said 'small mark to the inner kitchen cupboard' - a claim from Sequence for £220. The mark was at the back of a cupboard (apparently) and not a scratch or damage - just a mark!
Additionally despite a professional cleaning company they found 'a hair on the carpet' a claim for £550 for another clean!
Then there was the 'overgrown bush' a claim for £220 also - actually against the law to trim as there were nesting birds!
In short - you will not get your deposit back - add that to your budget as it will simply be denied.
Look up Sequence UK Ltd - appallingly deceptive company

W h brown broxbourne, zero rating

If trust pilot’s lowest review was a zero this is what I would give w h brown of Broxbourne.
An absolute disgrace of a so called estate agent. W H Brown of broxbourne are a bunch of lazy, useless amateurs. Adam, the so called branch manger, is by far the worst, incompetent out of the bunch. I regret wasting 4 months of my time with these unprofessionals, having sold my property to a person that wasn’t a genuine buyer, w h brown never did anything in that 4 months to make sure this sale progressed to completion. Stay away from this estate agency as they offer nothing to a seller, apart from ignoring your emails, calls or do anything you ask them to do. Beware that if you decide to instruct these amateurs to sell your property you will waste time and money without any results.
