For my kitchen

For my kitchen, I got in touch with three RTA cabinet stores. I was not very happy with the design process of the other two. The other two throw me some half ass design, trying to sell some cabinets and not listening to what really customer needs. Instead my designer at wholesalecabinet, Sara Cayer, was knowledgable in her job and it seems she enjoys designing. She adjusted the design to my needs and fixed flaws that I was not aware of. For example she helped me to build my custom 15” pantry piece by piece, to adjust a base cabinet to accommodate my apron front sink and reminded me of adding additional gaps next to the walls so the door and drawers can open easily. She is gifted and I hope she stays in this job because we need more competent people like Sara in the job. I would give her a raise if I was her boss and of course I’m referring her to all my friends.
My project is (almost) finished and I’m super happy with the result. All of my friend are amazed on how much that small kitchen got changed. With Sara’s help, I was able to double the volume of my cabinetry, double the counter space and double the sink space. These are not counting the new shelve space on the wall. All these space are added but the kitchen actually seems bigger and more practical. Thank you Sara for amazing design and helping me to achieve my goals.
I’m happily bragging about how I found these RTA cabinets and Sara helping me on the design and recommend WholeSaleCabinets to all my friends.
Thanks again and looking forward to work with you again soon.

One of our worst experiences ...

One of our worst experiences with a merchant. Customer service is severely lacking. Product quality control is non-existent.
We placed an order for almost $5,000.00 on February 5th, 2022. We were told delivery would be in about 4 weeks. On Thursday, April 21, I called to ask for them to be delivered. The woman who answered the phone said our saleswoman had stepped out and she would have her call me back. I called again on April 22nd, the same woman told me the same thing. I called again on April 25. This time the woman said she could not take delivery instructions from me because the order was in my wife’s name. When my wife finally go hold of a salesperson on April 27, she was told they’d need to determine the status of the order and called her back. After repeated calls, the manager/owner admitted that they had not ordered the cabinets until that week. He said they would put a rush on them and they should be delivered the week of May 30th.
After several calls starting May 31st, the delivery date was set for June 8th. Then then re-scheduled for Friday the 10th. My wife called about 2PM on the 10th and asked about the delivery. The woman who answered the phone told my wife that there couldn’t be a delivery scheduled because the cabinets were not finished yet. When my wife asked to speak to the manger, the woman said my wife was a f***ing liar and hung up on her. My wife called again on Monday the 13th and talked to the manager who admitted the cabinets were not ready but promised them on the 17th. At this point our builder had to stop work because they had reached a point were nothing more could be done without the cabinets.
The cabinets were delivered on the 17th. My wife had to practically force the delivery crew to help her unwrap the cabinets. When she got them unwrapped one had a side splintered at the back. On another the drawer was installed at an angle. (See photos). She asked the delivery men to wait while she got her phone to call the manager. When she got the manager on the phone, he said there was nothing he could do because my wife had told the delivery men to leave (which they had).
The manager agreed to a 20% discount because of the late delivery and the poor quality. Our builder’s carpenter was able to fix the cabinets.

Thank you for posting your review. We were quite frankly taken aback by what you wrote as none of our team members would ever communicate as what you indicated with a customer. We have opened an internal investigation and spoken to every member of the customer service team and no one recalls this conversation. There are also inconsistencies relating to our regular process in the review - you mention that you were told that the cabinets were not finished. This indicates to us that cabinets would be made to order and this is not something we do as we exclusively sell RTA cabinets that are stocked and ready to ship (although back order situations do occasionally occur of course). I am the Manager who all difficult customer service cases/orders with significant delays get escalated to and I cannot recall ever having spoken to you or offered a refund to anyone at the level you indicate. We have also reviewed all orders around the size of what you mention placed on February 5th. There were just a handful of them, and none of them have your name or any name similar to it. All of this makes us believe that your experience has been with a different company. Although we are one of the oldest and largest online kitchen and bathroom cabinet companies, there are unfortunately several companies with similar names to ours. If our assumption is correct, we kindly ask that you remove this review, which is not in any way indicative of how we operate or treat our customers. If our assumption is incorrect, we ask that you e-mail us at info@wholesalecabinets.us and mention your order number so we can investigate and address your experience with high priority.

Buyers be aware!!!

Please don’t fall for the good reviews, they are obviously fake and looks like they are made up by this company to attract customers!!
This is the worst company in the entire US and we wish if we did our homework looking them up thoroughly before they took thousands of dollars from us without delivering what we paid for and was promised to us!! Not only we had to endure lots of pain, frustration and headache going back and forth with them every single day for FOUR ENTIRE MONTHS with changes and arguments and screwing up of the design but also we had to spend money every day eating out with our kids because they didn’t deliver our cabinets as promised and we had no kitchen to cook in!!
Lauren so she is called”the cabinet designer” missed up all our order, she was very unprofessional and obviously showed what was the company is all about !! She was bad news all along the process! And by the way they call themselves wholesale cabinets when this company order the cabinets from another company that orders them from Taiwan or China so they are third party!
Four months still after ordering, we still don’t have kitchen because of these scammers!! When we reach out to the owner Daniel, he really didn’t seem to bother with our story as he knows by now how great of scam company he runs every day now!

However, we have never received such an inaccurate review before. All of our reviews are verified and written by our customers – many of whom have also offered to be references for our excellent product quality, routines and customer service to any new customer. Before you placed your order, we verified that all of the cabinets in your design were in stock and available. Unfortunately, by the time you placed the order a few of the items had gone out of stock and restocking was delayed due to global shipping challenges affecting our industry as a whole and fully outside our control. You decided that you didn’t want to wait for the back ordered items. Your designer Lauren then spent significant time redesigning your project to offer you other items so you could complete the project quicker. Once most of these items were ready and assembled for you, you decided you did not want most of them after all and we provided a refund of several thousand dollars on your order instead. We also gave you cabinets worth over $700 free of charge to show our understanding for the delay you had experienced. Then you informed us that one of the cabinets you had ordered and we had assembled and delivered for you didn’t fit some of your pots and pans due to their size and you wanted to return it. The size of the cabinet conformed exactly to the specifications on our website which were available before your order. Therefore, we politely declined the return in accordance with our terms that you agreed to at the time of purchase. This is when you announced you would post a negative review. Your comment on our products is without merit – we do not currently offer any cabinets made in China and we buy directly from the manufacturers so that we can always stand by our lowest price guarantee. We stand by our customer service through every step of the process with you and look forward to providing the same industry leading excellence to any customer in a similar situation in the future.

8+ projects with WC and counting

I have used Wholesale cabinets for almost 10 years now and will continue to use them exclusively for all projects going forward. The quality, price, and customer support is amazing. Over this time I have probably done 8+ semi custom projects for both myself and clients and have had the same designer (Jamie) for the entire time. The fact that she works with me on the design, draws up plans, and provides visual renderings of the project really helps me make sure everything is right the first time. On the customer service side, only once the entire time Did I have an order damaged in shipment and they promptly replaced it. All I had to do was submit photos and a web form and everything else was taken care of for me. From a quality perspective, the quality is so good that I try to use them for everything I do. The best part is the hardware. The soft close drawers and hinges are easier and better than even the most expensive Blumotion hardware I’ve used in the past. I couldn’t be happier with this company and my only wish is that they had more variety in applications (I would love to use them for closets for example). Thank you Jamie and Wholesale Cabinets for making all my cabinet projects enjoyable!

As to one of the other reviews about receiving unassembled cabinets, I do agree the quoting and shopping cart process can be confusing. This is due to pictures being shown in the cart and not the saved quote. The way to remedy this is to simply add the saved quote to the cart and it will show the pictures of all the components again. However, what is even better is during the design process they will update your quote or cart to reflect the drawings and renderings as well as confirming you have all the right components and trim necessary. Therefore eliminating the need to save quotes for later. As to the delivery, I’ve done so many separate projects that I’ve actually gotten to know the freight driver. I have never had any delivery issues. The one component mentioned above that was damaged was a floating shelf that was delivered separately by (I think) UPS.

currently in dispute with them for a damaged and incorrect order

In order to review this company I have to provide a star but my rating would be negative 10 if it were available. Avoid this company at all costs. Simply put they lie, they cheat customers, and steal your money leaving you with cabinets that are not usable.

They offer assembled cabinets but then send unassembled and claim that is what you ordered. They strong arm you into keeping them by charging to return them even charging to return items damaged in shipping. They want 700 - 900 dollars to return the order they scammed from me and once they get it back will charge a 20% restock fee. Then they will "determine" what has been damaged and credit that. I have had to go to my bank to disupte the charges and this process has been will over a month long battle.

The reply they placed below ignores the email correspondence requesting assembled cabinets. Does not address that the entire order is likely damaged. Does not address that their contracted delivery driver advised upon delivery the company has been sending out unassembled cabinets throughout Covid and he has made many deliveries that were not assembled to angry customers. You can't refuse delivery or the driver leaves them on the curb anyway.
I have never dealt with a cabinet company or any other company with such a complete sham. Their practices are fraudulent and they seek to protect themselves by claiming customers are in error. Then intimidate the customer into keeping the order by charging 700 to 900 return freight and a 20% restocking fee!!! If your order is damaged you also have to return it and they "determine" the damage. Why would I pay more money to their scam? They have caused incredible stress and delayed not only the installation of cabinets but flooring counters etc as I am dealing with a flood issue and an insurance company.
It is completely incomprehensible that they would do this when not only is the order not assembled as requested but completely damaged. Why would they not warranty their own shipments ??? Given their responses and "policies" only because they ate trying to reap additional profits by scamming customers.

Again their rebuttal is a lie.extensive photo evidence was provided to them as we as the bank. The pallet sits wrapped like a leaning tower with crushed boxes, loose strapping and the wrap coming off the bottom and other areas. The cabinets Cleary appear as if the entire pallet fell over in shipping. They knew this from. My first call and voice-mail. The cart business is a game they are playing. Why would things be placed in cart by someone other than me for purchase! I will tell you why so they can say the customer screwed up not them.

Thank you for sharing your experience. The satisfaction of our customers is of utmost importance to us and we take pride in our many thousands of satisfied, recurring customers nationwide since our company was established in 2012. We are disappointed to learn about your dissatisfaction but since your recollection does not fully reflect the events, we feel that we need to clarify some points further. We sell both unassembled (RTA) and assembled cabinets on our site and the respective types are clearly marked as such. Our records show that in your cart originally you had both types of cabinets and you asked our designer whom you were working with to add the assembled items to your cart, which she did.

However, you expressed that in order to save cost you were also considering unassembled cabinets and you had also saved a quote which you yourself labeled as “RTA” (unassembled). After having received the final cart, you cleared the shopping cart and added the unassembled items to your order, which you also later explained to us. As an e-commerce company we cannot base the shipment of an order on e-mail correspondence, particularly when several different options were discussed before the order (in this case assembled/unassembled). If we catch an obvious mis-order by a customer before shipping we will of course reach out to clarify this but as a general rule we have to base our shipments on what was actually ordered. We have shipped and delivered the items you ordered and have tried to help you get those returned.

Unfortunately as all companies we know of in the online cabinets business, we have to pass on the cost for return shipping and restocking fees. These are charged to us by the third-party warehouses and shipping companies we use but we do not add any costs for you to this. These terms were as outlined and accepted by you at the time of order, at the same step when it was advised that all items are unassembled unless otherwise noted. We use nationwide shipping companies and do not have any own or contracted delivery drivers. We have not had more than a few orders to your area over the past year so the conclusion of the driver´s communication is incorrect.

Since we find it essential that customers should always receive cabinets in the same excellent condition we send them, we have also informed you that if you choose to keep the cabinets you ordered we will gladly replace the damaged parts upon verification. The description of our damage claims routine is not correct. We do not ask to have damaged items returned – in fact we strongly discourage damaged items being sent back. Determination of the damage happens through photos we have asked you to submit and upon verification we will send out replacement parts at no cost and you can keep or discharge the damaged parts. This saves time and cost for everyone involved and this is what we always do if shipping damage occurs. We certainly warranty our shipments and this is the first time we have learned of extensive damage to your shipment but should that be the case, we will replace every part confirmed as damaged in shipping as we always do. However, we cannot replace damages based off photos of a full pallet – either the customer keeps the items ordered and then we replace all damaged parts free of charge (upon receiving photos of what was actually damaged) or the items are returned and then we will only pass on the costs created to us by the return shipment as outlined above. So, to clarify - the process for returning an order and the process for claims relating to shipping damage are separate and do not have to do with each other.
