POLICE REPORT SUBMITTED

Late collection. 20 mintues late. No apology. Quoted £10.60 for the journey, paid via the APP. Driver appeared to be under the influence, enlarged pupils, began making odd statements regarding God and British women and how he likes young girls at school. I said I'm concerned about his commentsdriving. He was irrate rude and abusive he began punching the drivers window. I was extremely concerned. I told him stop the car he began laughing swerving the car directly in front of an oncoming car, who began flashing his lights, sounding the horn. The taxi driver began racially abusing the driver. I told him to stop the car he refused. He then mounted the pavement finally stopping within centimeters of a garden hedge. As I walked home he slowly drove past me several time's. I got home he was sat on my doorstep asking to come in, did I have any Daughters that go to school and what age they are and he won't charge me. Owners couldn't careless reply from female owner was; 'I've known him for year's, very good driver' They took £10.60 (as oer the qoute received) then £14.80 TWICE that very evening, then £15.20 the next day, one week later £24.20 and then staggering £42.60 two weeks later all for a journey of approximately 5 minutes, I walked the rest of the journey and qouted £10.60. REPORT SUBMITTED TO THE POLICE WHO ARE NOW INVESTIGATING THE DRIVER AND THE FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY BY THE COMPANY IN RELATION TO REPEATED AMOUNTS TAKEN FROM MY CREDIT CARD.

First class service back in June and July from Raj. He was there in arrivals when we arrived at Gatwick and was extremely helpful, especially as I have Parkinson's. For this reason we booked them again. However, the experience this time was very poor indeed. When we arrived, there was no one in arrivals and no text or any acknowledgement. Tried ringing but could barely hear him but it was clear he could hear me. I was having a bad time due to my Parkinson's so was having difficulties with trying to see if my phone was playing up. Eventually had a text to say he was outside the Premier Inn where the taxis pick up. Having booked a cab with assistance, we were unimpressed. We walked to where the other taxis were picking up people but there was no sign of him. I rang several times and said I could not hear him but we were where he had asked us to go. A bit of initiative and common sense should have been used to drive around where all the other cabs were and he would have seen us. Instead he was parked outside the Premier Inn for some considerable time where it was not obvious to anyone who had not been told. He told us that Western Cars always pick up there but no mention of it was sent to us on booking or by text on our arrival. Furthermore I requested a car with legroom as I have Parkinson's but was sent one where I had to step up and I struggled to get in and out. It was such a shame as Raj was fantastic back in June and that is why I booked. We were very late in getting back and spoilt our journey back

DO NOT USE THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY

The worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. DO NOT USE. They left myself and my family stranded in the middle of nowhere, at nearly midnight in the rain. I had 3 cabs booked that didn't show up, no warning, no explanation. Oh and then they charged for this privilege. Disgusting, unprofessional, a shambles of a company.

Terrible service

I booked a taxi for us to take myself and my husband home on our WEDDING DAY and the taxi did not arrive, leaving us stranded in the dark and in the rain for over an hour after our most important day. To make it worse, they still charged us for the taxis. very disappointing.

TERRIBLE COMPANY!!

TERRIBLE COMPANY!!! DO NOT USE!!!
left stranded with 2 small children at midnight. Took over an hour for us to arrange alternative transportation. I booked online. I called on the day 4 hours prior and all confirmed. Then when I called to ask why it’s late I was told but a very rude man that I had to book who then went on to hang up the phone.

UNRELIABLE
I pre booked a taxi to collect us from a wedding near dorking. I had missed their call and when I called back they said I would have to pay upfront for the driver to come and pick us up. This was not a requirement when booking, so could not understand this. I booked in good faith so that we would be picked up at a set time.
So I said “dont bother” and called a different taxi company who came and didn’t ask for an upfront payment.

the quote via the app doubled in price just before pickup

I booked a taxi via their app and was quoted £15 for a journey of 6-7 miles which seemed reasonable (to me). 15 minutes before the taxi was meant to turn up I got a call from Western Cars telling me that the fare was going to be £30! I had no choice but to accept the quote as I had no other way of getting to my destination. In addition the taxi coulnt find my address and turned up 10 minutes late. Be warned!

Absolutely disgusting

Absolutely disgusting. They left my son for over 45 minutes waiting in Sharpthorne with every excuse under the sun as to why they were late. Disgraceful company and shockingly poor customer service !!!

Awful customer service.
I got completely over charged and they were so rude on the phone and hung up on me because I had already paid.
I will never used again!

Do not trust!

Quoted and paid £18 to go from Horley to Gatwick. Picked up on time. Nothing changed about our journey, quick as an early morning pick up but I have been charged £30! Avoid, do not trust!

Horrific and scary experience

Horrific and scary experience. Do not use if you’re travelling solo.
They arrived 10 minutes late and then had 2 calls hassling me to come out.
Got in the car and noticed the price was starting at £6.30 - enquired as to why this was as no journey had been commenced. Was told that they (the driver) didn’t set the prices which of course I understood and accepted, but wondered if there was a premium as it was a Saturday night. For enquiring again as I wasn’t given an answer, I was then told by the driver he was refusing to take me home and would ‘drop me on the road’. I told him his behaviour was making me uncomfortable, about 4 or 5 times as he was refusing to listen whilst he reversed to drop me on the side of the road, at which point he called the owner - Kabir - and said he was refusing to take me on my journey. I then asked the owner why the journey staring at £6.30 before moving to which he said ‘I don’t know the reason for that’. My driver repeated he would not take me home and said ‘she asks too many questions’.
Kabir told the driver he must take me as he has no one else to help. I said I didn’t want to travel with him as he was being aggressive and was the told I have no choice. The driver agreed to take me, turned his rear view mirror to my direction and said ‘don’t you talk for the whole journey, I don’t want to hear anymore questions, I don’t want to hear your voice’.
Shocked, I sat in silence. I called my husband who is away with work to tell him about my experience. Only at this
Point, the driver turned on the internal light and tried to apologise to me. I told him I didn’t want to speak to him and just wanted to get home. On arrival he again tried to apologise and justify his behaviour, to which I said there was no justification and his behaviour made me feel vulnerable and uncomfortable. Do not use this company. For the safety of others, I make will make a recommendation to the local authority to have their license removed.

Avoid Avoid Avoid!

Awful cowboy firm, if I could give 0 stars I would.
Booked in advance for a 1.6 mile trip to a wedding and quoted approx £6.50 online.
They waited till an hour before I had to be at a wedding to say the fare is wrong and had to pay £15..I complained and he offered me a discount to £13 or he would cancel, so I confirmed I wasn't happy but needed a taxi. 5mins before they were due to turn up they called and said the person before was training and infact the fare was now £20! For a 1.6mile trip and pay or they would cancel...this was due to me having to pay for the cab to come to me in haywards heath from Crawley before collecting me. Even though this firm advertise as being in haywards heath and east Grinstead hence why i booked them.... Never have I ever had such bad service....to call so late to a booking leaving no options when it was booked 4 days in advance is disgusting. Avoid avoid avoid.
They didn't even turn up for the return journey and sent a message to say it was cancelled as a no show! Thank god for a more civiliallised local taxi firm for coming to the rescue.

Reliably unreliable

I know running a cab company can, at times, be hard, but Western Cars are late to pick me up every time. What is worse, is that they NEVER apologise for being late. So frustrating!!

Disappointed and Enraged

We pre-booked and pre-paid £105 for Western cars to pick up me and my friends (4 young girls) outside a bar for our friend’s birthday for 1.45am. At 1.45am however there was no sign of our taxi and I proceeded to call them and ask to which I found the taxi had not even been scheduled in to pick us up. They came 1 hour late and we were stranded outside in the cold not able to return into the bar as it was closed which was a very bad circumstance when we are young and vulnerable. They also did not trust that we booked and paid for the taxi so I had to send them the receipts. Since then they have not given any money back and have ignored our requests with no formal apology and we will not use them again as this was a very unsafe circumstance.

Great service and Great Experience

We missed the last train whilst in Horsham last night and felt stranded! We phoned Western Cars and they despatched a driver to collect us straight away. The communication was amazing and we were advised of when our taxi arrived and the reg plate. The driver was friendly and ensured that we had got in the front door safely before he left. We were quoted a fixed price which was the price we paid. I will definitely be saving their number in my phone for when we next need a taxi.
