DO NOT USE United Van Line.

DO NOT USE United Van Line.
In my experience, this company is a serious scam. They initially give you a much lower quote than other moving companies, only to add “miscellaneous additional costs” later.
After my move, they charged the credit card I had on file an additional $2,000 or more without providing a clear explanation or obtaining my authorization. When I tried to contact management to get an explanation and resolve the issue fairly, my calls and voicemails were completely ignored.
This was an extremely frustrating and unacceptable experience. I strongly recommend avoiding this company and getting a detailed, written, all-inclusive quote before hiring them.

If I could give this company zero…

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had, and I sincerely hope others read this before trusting them with their belongings.
The process began with what felt like a complete bait-and-switch. I was provided an estimate that I agreed to, but when the packing crew arrived, my price suddenly doubled. I was put in an impossible position because my belongings were already being packed and I had no choice but to move forward. What makes this even more frustrating is that when my shipment arrived, the truck appeared to be much closer in size to the original estimate than the inflated amount I was charged for. Despite multiple requests, no one has ever contacted me to review the actual cubic footage or explain the charges.
Communication was beyond terrible. Before I signed the contract, Ryan called and followed up constantly. The minute they had my money, the communication stopped. Calls go unanswered, emails are ignored, and getting anyone to return a message is nearly impossible. Customer service has been nonexistent from start to finish.
This company markets itself as a national moving company, but my move was outsourced to local contractors. There was no accountability and no one willing to take ownership when serious problems occurred.
The packing process was also alarming. The crew disassembled nearly everything they could, creating additional boxes and taking up more space than seemed necessary. It left me questioning whether this was done to increase the volume I was billed for.
The worst part was the condition of my belongings. My 65-inch television was broken. My $1,000 mirror was shattered. My bed frame is missing. My ladder is missing. There were additional damaged and missing items as well.
When I immediately reported the missing bed frame to the delivery crew, I was assured it would be delivered separately. That promise was never kept. It has now been over a week with no delivery, no follow-up, and no communication despite my repeated attempts to get answers.
This entire experience has been stressful, expensive, and incredibly disappointing. From the inflated pricing, poor communication, damaged property, missing belongings, and complete lack of accountability, I cannot recommend this company to anyone.
Save yourself the stress, expense, and frustration. Choose another mover. My advice is simple: RUN. RUN. RUN.

TERRIBLE

United Global Van Lines is not even worth a single star.
TERRIBLE! HORRIBLE! Communication.
They don't care about their customers and are still holding my payment despite providing no service, constituting a breach of contract.
They didn't show up on moving day and are refusing to issue a refund. They continue to cheat their customers, and their customer service is a joke.

Do not use United Vanlines

I would rate a zero if possible, do not use this company. We agreed for months on a timeline, less than one week they told me they couldn't make the date. This was a cross country move. I had to spend more than $3300 on flight changes and hotels. Due to their inability to plan for the proper amount of items, I also then had to rent my own uhaul and drive the rest of my items out that they didn't take. Then they offered me $400, which is a JOKE. Terrible company.

It has been almost a year and I feel that the damage will not get fixed. I sent a review in sept 2025 and hope it has helped someone. We are still trying to figure all this out. They are great off the start but then you will be brokered, as least in our case this is true. My review in sept 2025 says it all. Do not use unless you are willing to get a lawyer. We were brokered to All star moving based out of Pottsville PA. They are absolutely terrible. Do not use this company.

Awful. Save yourself.

I leave a reminder on my computer to give this company a terrible review on multiple sites each month. Because. They charged us three times more than our initial contract, our things were damaged, and worst of all, this company is the king of ghosting you since they contract all of their work to smaller moving companies making it impossible to reach anyone. Save yourself. Pay the bit extra elsewhere. Not worth the stress and long lasting grudge and distrust.

Moving Broker-Worst bait and switch on pricing and…

Worst bait and switch on pricing and what you are going to get by Mike Castaneda and his estimator Mark from Boynton Florida. They are brokers that give you a price for your 'cu feet'(what ever that means in clothes), takes the deposit and then farms it out to a seedy mover, who shows up on day of moving and tells you the price for what was agreed to is now double!!! They are your ' pal' answering questions until that mover shows up and now you are stuck!! No more answering the phone. They are not United Van Lines. They are United Global. My embarrassing and costly mistake. No morals, integrity or veracity at this company!!!! Use MayFlower or a reputable all in one van line. Make them show you a detailed inventory of what the estimator reviewed.

I gave them 1 star bc I had too they…

I gave them 1 star bc I had too they deserve negative stars to be honest. We moved from Missouri to Florida in September. They picked up our belongings after they charged us double upon arrival but we had no choice but to go ahead with it bc we had a plane to catch. So they picked up our belongings in September 13th. We had to purchase their boxes. Our belongings were treated very roughly… the mover dropped a tax into a box in front of me and said nothing. We are 75 business days in and still no belongings!! We were told the truck was broken down and then in an accident since October 14th. The truck still sits in a tow lot. Our belongings and precious memories are gone!! Our belongings started in an old box truck and we were told they would stay in the truck that was not the case! They offloaded our belongings after the box truck from Moving Wizard to a United Global Van Lines truck. Where our belongings still remain. Neither United Global or Moving Wizard will take responsibility and pushed everything off in the driver who we have found out did NOT have insurance!! Neither company will take responsibility for our belongings or call us back they have blocked my husband. We have no choice but to hire an attorney to get our belongings back along with 3 other families as well. We have had to purchase everything again costing us more money!! It is absolutely ridiculous that a company can do this to so many people and get away with it or still have a business license. We trusted these horrible people with our memories and belongings that only mean something to us and won’t explain why this has happened. This company needs to lose their business license and not able to work in this industry ever again!!! They are playing with peoples lives.

DO NOT HIRE United Global Vanlines

Very similar to another review. My items were picked up in Montana, but before they would load a single thing I had to pay. I was charged > $1,000 more because my items were too large. Since I had closing in my house the next day I was stuck. They piled items into a box truck, did not blanket anything, as stated in the contract. When I asked why they said they are only going to Kalispel, before they are shipped across the US they will be blanketed.
Items were stored until I purchased a home for $750/month.
When I stated I was ready for the items I received only 1/2 my load but was charged the full price. Driver stated he was not to tell me that. 4 months of phone calls and texts and I still do not have my furniture/belongings. No winter clothes/coats and boots, no bedframe, no chair or loveseat. The items delivered were soaking wet, boxes dented and torn, bedroom chest destroyed/unusable, antique hope chest scratched and water damaged on top....
No help from United Global Van Lines!!! Appears that mover they hired is involved in scam.
I'm guessing that any good reviews for this company were for United Van Lines, not United Global Vanlines!

I recieved a call from.this company…

I recieved a call from.this company explaining that the movers I hired had all kinds of issues, and essentially was a scam. I cancelled them (never recieved my deposit back) and booked with United. Worst mistake ever! They took my $478 deposit (on top of losing the other companies as well) never showed up for the move the first time, send a BILL OF LADING (DO NOT SIGN THIS) and promised they would be there the following day, to not show up again. Customer service is a joke, and you can never speak to a manager and I am now 42 days waiting for my refund! United Global Van Lines, and UNITED VAN LINES are NOT the same company, don't be decieved by this. I've filed with the BBB and am still fighting with them to get my monies back for a service that was never rendered.

Unites Global Vanlines WILL RIP YOU OFF!

Unites Global Vanlines did not hold up to one thing they promised in their contract. I said once my items were loaded onto the truck I did not want them unloaded untill they got to where we were going. Come to find out they were off loaded into a storage locker in Louisiana and then in again in some other state multiple times. Items were lost, damaged and they kept charging over $3000.00 everytime they they stopped or started. When they did finally delivered the furnishings it was almost two months later with most of the boxes torn apart and missing many items busted and broken. I had a medical device I needed and they managed to loose that in the move. This caused me to have to go to the hospital and go through either having a new implant or replacing the whole charging system for the implant I have. Their attitude was "not my problem"! No offer for reimbursement on lost items or damages at all, they wanted over another $3000.00 cash in hand for the third time when they got to where were moving to or they were not going to unload out stuff and might take it with them. United Global Vanlines subcontracts their moving out to anyone who rents out a Ryder truck. The three guys that showed up to pick up our stuff, showed up in a Ryder truck which was half full and they did now have room for our stuff, they took our stuff to a storage locker. NOT WHAT WAS AGREED UPON, BUT WOULD NOT REFUND OUR DEPOSIT. The move which was going to only cost us about $4000.00 wound up costing us morn than $8000.00 DO YOUR SELF A GREAT FAVOR DON'T USE UNITED GLOBAL VAN LINES...THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!

PLEASE DO NOT BE FOOLED

PLEASE DO NOT BE FOOLED. This is NOT a reputable company and I truly hope you are not scammed. Essentially they packed my furniture onto a truck witnessed by me with blankets, lied to me about the truck making a direct trip, unloaded the truck into storage, then loaded my furniture and belongings onto a truck WITHOUT blanks across state lines. 95% of my furniture was damaged. They also bait you with a reasonable price and at ever step say the price has increased and they can't move forward without payment. DO NOT let them near you house.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Good Afternoon,

I am writing this email as a formal complaint and a request for compensation regarding my recent move with United Global Van Lines. I will also be calling to reaffirm this message later today.

My entire experience was atrocious to say the least; the only easy part was putting a deposit down.

To start, I was told someone would call me 24 hours with a timeframe in which my belongings would be picked up. I was notified hours before and when trying to contact someone to get a timeframe, no one could help me at all. The entire customer service department was not useful in any way.

A woman in that department said she would call me back when I had to change the pickup date because she was having trouble sending me the new contract to sign via email and she simply did not feel the need to ensure the new contract came out or to let me know what was going on.

I also informed the woman that I would like my stuff to arrived on the 10th or 11th of November to which she said "no problem they will pick it up and drive it down that weekend, latest it will be there is Wednesday the 12th.

Come to find out that was not accurate at all and I would've had my belongings picked up sooner if she hadn't said that.

When my stuff was picked up the driver called me and said I will be there at 2pm, I requested he would call me 30 minutes before so that I could have someone meet him at the unit as I am not in the state. He called me 10 minutes before.

I was then told the total I owe was $2194 cash or check.

Days went by and I had not heard anything regarding the movers coming down, Friday the 14th I received a call stating that my belongings would be delivered Sunday or Monday and that the driver would contact me 24 hours before to give be a timeframe and again that I would get a call an hour before he arrived. I was then told again by the dispatcher my total would be $2194 and I repeated it back to her for clarification.

Saturday, I received a call from the driver that he would be at my house by 5-6pm, so I quickly had to run around and grab the cash for the move. Upon arrival it was one man and a truck, who informed me my total was $2993 which I obviously didn't have that amount in cash and he informed me I could Zelle the remaining amount.

As I stated before, this whole process up to this point was absolutely atrocious and nothing short of a joke.

Another gentleman arrived at my house to help with the move. So, I was allotted two movers for all my belongings. These two gentlemen damaged my walls, stained my stairwell carpet, and dropped several items when moving them into my home. To the point myself, and my guests had to assist them with the mover and unpacking of belongings. Not because we wanted to, but we were inspecting everything for damages. We also had to move a 600lbs gun safe by hand because the truck did not have a lift or ramp. The safe was not placed in the desired location due to this and had my company not been at the home the safe would still be on the truck. As I was inspecting the damages to my home, the driver and other gentlemen who helped with the move left without even telling as to avoid being told they damaged property. This is completely unprofessional and inappropriate.

The entire move was awful and no where near worth the amount of money I had to pay to move a majority of the items myself and the damages that occurred on a brand-new home that I moved into Monday. I have attached pictures of the damages and expect to be compensated appropriately and to have an amount of the service refunded. I will also be sharing my experience as a review to hopefully inform others of the quality of service that I received so they may avoid this.

Sincerely,
Tyler Gauvin

This company with many names

This company comes with many names: As stated in their website, the address they give is a fake which is 7202 S US Highway 1, Port Saint Lucie, FL 34952. Their actual name is ‘ I hate to move’. They take Zelle payment by the name “Your International Van Lines LLC”.
This is a scamming company and you will never get your things after they pick them up. After picking up your items you need to pay them 3-4 times and each time they come up with increased cost. I am still waiting for my items and they don’t pick up the phones. Please don’t give your business to these scammers

RUN! It's all lies

If I could give this company a 0, I would. Here is a listing of problems:
1) pricing changed at every juncture. Initial quote changed from quote to contract, almost doubled price at pick up and threatened to leave extra items if I didn't pay (we provided a detailed inventory in advance but it still changed), I was upcharged a "distance fee" for them taking items from truck into building (it was 75 feet), there was a "stair fee" even though I asked about that in advance-so they would not bring my book cases upstairs w/out extra $$.

2) The method of payment kept changing, and frankly if felt fishy. The contract says one form of payment, then at pick up they changed it, and then at delivery they changed it again. Changed from both what the contract said and what they told us during phone calls. I was told they would come back another day if I didn't pay using the specific method, and if i could not resolve it the following morning then it would be an additional charge.

3) I received a 1 hour notice for delivery. Driver and dispatch said they called, left voice mails, and sent text messages. NOTHING on our phones. Company had second number on file and didn't call that number until 1 hour away. Customer service told me I was lying when I said we didn't get the messages or calls. Driver looked at phone upon arrival and confirmed we didn't get messages. NOTE: it was a Saturday late afternoon and the method of payment changed to Zelle (which we don't have and I told them that when i signed the contract, cash, or money order. The company refused to work with me on another option considering the late notice and the inability to pulse out the remaining balance).

4) Every person had a different timeline for delivery. Sales told us 5-7 days from pick up. Customer Service told us 14-21 days. Then said probably 30 days. Found out that items still in home state 14 days after pick up with no date for transporting to new state.

5) For over a week no one could tell us where our items were. The company claimed unable to reach dispatch. Said would call back but never did.

6) Customer service hung up on me multiple times when i asked questions or challenged changes. On the day of delivery, I called the company 17 times, sent chat messages online, and emailed. NO ONE EVERY contacted me. On several occasions I had customer service yell at me, talk over me, and call me a liar.

7) This is NOT the United you see on the highway. This is a van line service that subcontracts for services. The entire process is disjointed and sketchy.

We saved a lot of money using this company but in hindsight it would have been cheaper (and less stressful) to rent a uhaul and pay a driver-then hire movers on the back side.
