It's been nearly 2 months lies and no Bible.

It's been nearly 2 months of communications and the same story. I don't believe anything they say. The tracking has it in China and has not moved in over a month. I have no trust in this company. It's a completely fraudulent operation. They are ripping people off.

It is shameful that leaches like this company exist to play on the heart strings of honest people. Do yourself a favor and dispute the charges with your CC company. It has been 30 days since my order and the latest reply from The Living Word was that it “appears” to have been processed not that it has been processed. If it was processed there would be a shipping label which there was not. You have been warned, best wishes.

Thanks for all the reviews! I’m changing my debit card now.

I guess I need to start checking Trustpilot before I order anything again from a new company. I got the exact same email responses. It’s only been three weeks for me and it still hasn’t shipped, but after seeing the review by the person who’s waited 10 weeks already and those with recurring monthly charges, out of an abundance of caution, I went to my credit union and got my debit card replaced. It’s what they recommended, and now I start the agonizing task of switching all of my accounts over to a new number. Thank you to everyone who posted about their experiences. Maybe this company is legitimate, and some day a Bible will arrive, but I’m not holding my breath. For anyone who still wants this Bible, the ethiopianorthodoxbible dot wordpress dot com leading the translation process, says that any of these "complete" Bibles are inaccurate translations, incomplete, and misleading as one reviewer said. Additionally, I ordered something else that uses that same shipping site, and I do see tracking for that one, so it does work when the product actually moves through the shipping process.

You ask how this company can improve? Answer: by being a legitimate company!

You ask how this company can improve? Answer is by being a legitimate company. What a scam! Taking advantage of people who truly want to know more about the other books of the Bible that are not in our versions. These people are scammers and telling the same story to anyone who asks where their order is. They told me they are a small family business and with the email they sent out to sell their Bible were overwhelmed with orders and they were working hard to fill them yet every day I’ve gotten an email soliciting more Bibles sales. I actually ordered 2 Bibles on April 1st with intentions of giving one to my Pastor who collects Bibles. There is a special place in hell for these criminals. I would give them a -10 if there was a place for that rating. I emailed them every day this week. On the third email they blocked me then had the audacity to send 2 more emails trying to sell more Bibles. I have contacted my bank to initiate a formal complaint and dispute.

No product and over 20 days. Foreign shipping. No customer support.

I didn't sign up for the subscription (I did check that out) BUT is has been a month and I still haven't received the bible and the tracking number is NOT from the USA (it even has translate to English over the tracking number) and there is no way to contact them. Luckily, I'm only out $49 but I have put a stop to all other possible transactions from this company on my card. If I ever get the promised merchandise, I will come back and update my review. But right now, I'm not a happy customer.

Need a less than 1 star

Need a less than 1 star. I found this group of reviews yesterday, 04/23/2026, and thought I'd at least try to request a refund for my 03/30/2026 purchase. Nearly all of these instances reported here took place after my purchase. It seems to be an ongoing, current scam grabbing many of us quickly.

In response to my demand for a cancellation and refund, I get this email from a Daniela, but the subscript states the message is sent through Richpanel. Richpanel is an AI 'customer service' phony. Below is a portion of the response:

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I’ve checked your order, and it appears that it has already been processed and is now shipped. At this stage, we’re unfortunately unable to make any changes or cancel the order.

The SDHexpress tracking number states the shipment is coming from China. Clearly not what their website claims, which states everything is produced and shipped from the US.

When I responded back stating I had no faith in their response and had clearly been lied to, I got this:

Hi Caterina,
First — thank you. Truly.
We’re a small, family-run business, and a few weeks ago our videos started going viral. What followed was something we never could have predicted: an overwhelming flood of orders from people all over the world who want this Bible in their hands.
We are so grateful. And we also want to be completely honest with you — that surge in demand has pushed our fulfillment timelines beyond what we originally expected.
Your order is being processed and will ship. It’s just taking us a little longer than usual as we work hard to fulfill every single order with care.
We appreciate your patience more than we can express. This community means everything to us, and we will not let you down.
If you have any questions about your order, please reply to this email and we’ll get back to you as quickly as we can.
With gratitude,
Christian
The Living Word Team

Again, from Richpanel.
I balked and called them out on the fact that there had been no communication since 3/31/26, and the AI bot should have allowed such to their customers. I got this:

I understand your frustration and appreciate you sharing your concerns so openly.
To clarify, we do our best to provide accurate shipping information. While our products are shipped from the US, some fulfillment processes involve partners overseas to ensure timely delivery. We apologize if this was not clearly communicated.
Regarding communication, we strive to keep all customers informed and are here to assist personally with any questions or issues you have. I assure you that your concerns are being handled by a real person committed to resolving this.
Thank you for your patience as we work through this together.
With gratitude,
Christian

Shipped from the US, through China to save time? Pffbt.

So finally, I did another search on the Ethiopian Bible with 88 books. From what I discovered, if it is true, this doesn't exist. Several of the so-called books haven't even been translated.

It's all a fraud. Do not fall for it.

GRIFTERS

GRIFTERS! Same story as the rest, charged for the monthly subscription scam. When questioning where my bibles were they quoted info from the wrong order number and wrong tracking number. I was promised a refund but have yet to see it. I did contact my CC fraud department and will be letting them handle it. Next stop is the BBB.

I actually got scammed

I actually got scammed! April 1st 2026 i made an order after searchi g for and purchasing a Bible from a different site. After searching for and paying for a different Bible this company popped up in my social media feed. I cancelled my order with Amazon and purchased this Bible from thelivingword.shop. Thelivingword.shop sent me a tracking number from a chinese courier service through indiapost and later i foumd out that they intentionally use a server or set up their business to have a presence from USA. I have received two reply emails saying my package is on the way. The shipping information just lists as it being generated and not shipped.

This company is the most fraudulent company I’ve ever dealt with

This company is the most fraudulent company I’ve ever dealt with in my life. Have been trying to get my order for quite some time now and they just go round and round. One minute they tell you that the order is already processed so they can’t refund you your money the next time they’ll look into it and never get back to you the next time they give you a bogus tracking number saying it’s shipped then when you go back again, they apologize for saying they’ll try and get it shipped as soon as possible, etc. etc. etc..
I can’t believe with all of these fraudulent reviews that they can’t be stopped

I made the order on February 25

I made the order on February 25. I tried to track it after 2 weeks. No way of tracking.
I caught that the site had a subscription for a bible study that I hadn't ordered. I canceled that before it could be charged. I received a quick response for the cancelation.
It is Easter. Still no Bible.
Can't recommend this site.

Ordered the Ethiopian Bible through The Living Word on March 10, 2026. It's been almost a month and haven't received it yet. Can't even track this purchase. The tracking site just tried to sell more goods to you but nothing to track my order. This is the worst company I have ordered from. Not getting any info from them except back on 3/16/26, they told me the order was on its way. Is this a scam ?? At least tell me how many more miles away my package is.

This company is a total scam.
I go to the web site, says my order # doesn't exist, takes days to get any response and the response is some excuses to make you think they are legit. Still no product and then they charge you another 40.00 for a service that you never asked for !!
They will get theirs in the end, I hope it is worth it on their end !!
