Recently purchased a property via Taylors Downend. All staff were very helpful. In particular, Jane Cook. She knew exactly what was happening and always updated me when requested. Excellent!

Terrible communication, Bristol branch AVOID

Honestly do not bother using Taylors on Sandy Park Road Brislington, Bristol. Hands down the worst estate agents we've ever used.

Terrible communication: A viewing for our property was booked by the manager Tom without even consulting us. I also had to chase to get responses to easy questions from him who, if I'm honest, sounded like he just couldn't care less about selling our property.

No attention to detail: No sale board for the property was put up in the first week of the property going live. I had to chase to get this up. Pretty basic. After 2 weeks of the property being live it wasn't in the window of their shop. Again we had to ask for this to happen. Shouldn't be having to do that. We asked to receive a rightmove report every Friday and were assured we would get it. At the start I never received it so again had to chase. I had to do this again at least another time. On the termination of contract document the wrong dates were added....the list continues.

So many things can go wrong when buying and selling so to not feel like your estate agent can be trusted with basic tasks leaves you feeling incredibly frustrated and like you have to micromanage to ensure they've got the basics right. Ridiculous.

Unfortunately for Taylors the proof was in the pudding, my property was up on the market from October - January with no offers at the right price. After months of frustration with the communication and customer experience from Taylors and just the general feeling that we were completely wasting our time we went with Boardwalk and within 1 week of switching over to them the property was sold over the asking price and it's been a great customer experience with them. That sale has since completed.

This is unfortunately a classic case of you get what you pay for.

Don’t bother using them

So we booked the appointment well in advance it was fine then I received three phone calls from three different people then I got told that one of their viewers had gone sick and blah blah blah and I said forget it. Do you know what if you can’t be bothered to communicate properly with each other and phone me over the same things and send me 20 odd emails or thanking me for picking you I can’t be bothered because I can’t guarantee you’re gonna sell my house properly. Don’t bother using them.

Security Deposit not being paid

Looked at a property in Northampton, after viewing the property decided to move forwards with the rental and was asked to pay a security deposit. Unfortunately the reference checks failed and was promised my security deposit back with 3-5 working days. 10 days later was told that there was a problem with the refund system and would get the payment by the Friday. No funds had been returned. Spoke to the Northampton branch and was told that the person I was dealing with was out of the office until Monday. Not happy as having to wait nearly 3 weeks is just unacceptable.

I was in a very difficult situation…

I was in a very difficult situation with accomodation, so I fortunately bumped on Taylors online. I saw a very beautiful apartment but wasn't sure of getting it at that moment I needed it. But to my greatest surprise the letting agent( Ruby) and her partners made it happen. The paper works, vetting were swift and and amazing and now I am settled with my family in a beautiful home. Thanks to the management of Taylors and staffs for their receptive and professional approach. You guys are the best.

Time waisted and unprofessional

I had a market appraisal appointment scheduled with Taylors at the Luton branch, with Patrick assigned to attend. Unfortunately, he did not turn up to the appointment and made no effort to contact me beforehand to let me know he would not be attending. I found this completely inappropriate and highly unprofessional. What makes this even more disappointing is that this is the second time in a row this has happened. Such a lack of communication and reliability reflects very poorly on the service and has wasted my time

Exceptional Service from a Truly Dedicated Agent - Thank You Georgina!

I cannot recommend Georgina McCronachie at Taylors Estate Agents highly enough. From start to finish, her commitment was outstanding. What truly set her apart was her willingness to assist us even during her personal time – a level of dedication that is rare to find.

Georgina is incredibly organised and kept the entire process clear and manageable, providing timely updates and explaining every step. When we encountered issues with the property's electrical and gas systems, she didn't just point us in a direction; she proactively engaged trusted technicians to ensure the problems were resolved efficiently and to a high standard.

Her professionalism, clarity, and genuine care turned a potentially stressful process into a smooth one. A huge thank you to "Georgie" – you are an absolute asset to Taylors.

Landlords & Tenants Avoid Taylors Aylesbury

If you are a landlord considering Taylors in Aylesbury (Countrywide), please read this before you make the same mistake I did.

I had no intention of leaving a one‑star review, yet their service falls beneath even that standard. I won’t list individual managers or staff, though the branch team and management will know exactly who this refers to,

My experience with Taylors Aylesbury (Countrywide) has been the worst I’ve ever had with any estate agent. I faced constant errors, incorrect charges, poor communication, and a complete lack of professionalism. Despite paying full fees, I received wrong statements, unexplained charges, and contradictory information. Even basic tasks like issuing a correct invoice or calculating fees accurately turned into a long, exhausting chase.

What made this even worse was the culture of deflection. No one took ownership of anything. I was passed endlessly between the branch and different agents, area managers, each blaming the other while nothing was resolved. Emails were ignored, calls weren’t returned, and the service standards were consistently poor. Even the services I paid for, such as professional cleaning and inventory, were carried out to an unacceptable standard, forcing me to step in personally to maintain the property for my tenants.

Taylors added no value to the management of my property; in fact, they created more work, more stress, and unnecessary financial loss. I have now escalated the matter to the Ombudsman, who is still investigating — a process that takes several months due to the volume of issues involved. If you are a landlord considering Taylors Aylesbury, I strongly recommend avoiding them. They are unprofessional, unreliable, and simply not fit for purpose.

Nathaniel Allibone

Nathaniel Allibone, my property manager who is managing my apartment has been amazing. I reside overseas and the fact I can have peace of mind knowing that I can fully rely on Nathaniel to deal with all issues related to my property. Always quick in responses, swift in answering, communication between the tenants as well. I highly recommend Taylor’s letting.

If I could score less than one star I…

If I could score less than one star I would. I called about a property, turns out it was false advertising and a scam and illegally listed. The lady on the phone was rude and condescending, she didn't listen to anything I said and kept repeating the same questions, she couldn't get her facts right and then she had a hissy fit and hung up on me. If they treat all their customers like this they will be out of business in a week. They definitely don't know GDPR law, they may end up in prison with a £18 million pounds fine

Taylor’s Stevenage

Taylor’s Stevenage

What an awful, negligent company. They allowed my brother to move into a rental property, knowing the landlord had intentions to sell the property before allowing my brother to sign a tenancy and pay a full deposit. The property is inhabitable, with no working lighting in the hallway and kitchen. It had no working oven for 2-months. It’s had no working washing machine. Upon move in, the only bathroom sink waste was not connected and so could not be used for 2weeks so he had to wash in the kitchen sink. The extractor fan above the hob does not work. Majority of items listed on check in inventory and 2.5 months later none are resolved. Their property management team are atrocious, obnoxious and rude. They do not want to assist, as it’s clear the landlord is not interested in his legal duties due to having the apartment under offer, which Taylor’s & Countrywide were and are more than aware of. My brother pays a substantial amount in rent, to have to ship in meals, pay for dry cleaning or washing services on top because they can’t resolve anything. All for the pleasure of having notice served on him at any time, due to it being sold before he even moved in. Avoid like the plague.

Shit company

Spent a year in a house share where they did nothing to remove an awful tenant who stole food and caused aggravation that several had to leave early.

The cleaners they had come in stole equipment and didnt do a bloody thing

Have the nerve to confirm that my balance was clear and then try and take rent arrears from the account.

Horrendous Lettings agency, ready to gulp down entire of your deposit, that's their game. You cant escape, so if possible dont get into it. Anyone struggling can consult me, shall let you know how to extract every last legitimate money that you deserve to be returned. I took them to the adjudicator and won.

Taylors Dunstable…

Used Taylors to sell my late mothers property.
Buyer was found reasonably quickly but from then on i had issues.
1. After Taylors had shown potential buyers round, on visiting the property i found smelly stagnant urine in a toilet!
2. The buyers solicitor was extremely slow holding the sale up. I asked the manager of Taylors to chase them up and he said "can't you?". What the hell am I paying Taylors for?
3. Bearing in mind I was only selling, why was a charged a money laundering fee? That is a joke!

They just want to take your money and do nothing for it.
I won't use Taylors again.

Bedminster office

Bedminster office - I had hoped that this one would be different. But if you like inaccuracies with details and not being able to explain their processes then they are for you. When I complained I was told that they'd followed their processes but it seems that they like to kept that information to themselves.
