Taurus Firearms owns Rossi firearms

Taurus Firearms owns Rossi firearms, Rossi does not care to take care of this problem. My son and I bought a model 92 lever action rifle from Rossi chambered in 357 magnum. The gun was Miss machined the chamber was bored out wrong and it blew up upon firing it shooting the extractor into the air and blowing brass casing pieces into my face. Rossi refused to do anything about it and lied to my son telling him that they would at least give him a new gun if he signed a release of liability form. He signed the form without my knowledge and they never sent him a firearm or ever took care of this again. Rossi offered to pay me less than $200 for my visit to the eye doctor that was it.

Never Buy from Them !

Never Buy from Them !! Faulty Guns !! Customer Service is the WORST!! They don't worry about how the company is gonna look by their incomplete, late, copy-past and out of topic replies. I have been waiting for more than 5 months now for a simple screw part that came of their newly bought gun in warranty. Trust me I am messaging and complaining since then but no real help or solution provided. They don't allow other shops to sell the replacement parts so you just have to wait to place an online order. It's a NO-NO! Please don't opt this company.
I have screenshots of their replies and my inquires and complaints. do reach out to me if you need proof of it.

How about some love here

I’m guessing this site attracts the people with a beef with Taurus. I’m embarrassed at the number of handguns I own but I feel certain I’m familiar with many manufacturers. I for one have had nothing but positive experiences with Taurus. From the quality of the firearms to purchase made on their website. My emails always get answered in a timely and professional manner. I’ve never returned anything because the handguns I own shoot perfectly and are unbelievably reliable and accurate. I hope those you have had positive experiences with Taurus begin writing reviews and not just the haters.

They EFFIN SUCK

They EFFING SUCK. SCAMMERS BIG TIME. My order was actually placed back in December 2024, I’m deciding to write a review so everyone knows how bad they are. I canceled an order that was supposed to be one of my husband’s Christmas gifts. Just like any other person who would do is wait.. right? But not for weeks to months now. So pretty much a month goes by and I still never got my refund. I sent an email multiple times and they kept saying the same thing over and over that it was still processing the refund and it would take this amount of days for me to see it in my account again. It’s not like I spent hundreds or thousands of dollars. But my point is I spent $75 and I didn’t get shit until this day. NEVER AGAIN I WILL ORDER FROM THIS PLACE.

(I couldn’t go back to December 2024 on here but that was when I really made my purchase)

The website might look deceiving but believe all these reviews when we tell you they genuinely suck. They really have nothing else better to do than to take people’s money. Go get a job.

I bought a new Taurus GX2...

I bought a new Taurus GX2 from a local dealer. Took it to the range and had 4 mis-fires in the first 9 rounds. Sent it back to be "Fixed" and waited a month to get it back. Got it Tuesday, Range day Wednesday. Same damn issue. 5 more mis-fires in 14 rounds. Different ammo manufacturer and different grains so it wasn't that.
Sent it back again on December 19th. Called this afternoon (January 22nd) only to find out they decided they couldn't fix it. They decided a FREAKING week ago and didn't tell me!!!
But hey, it's new and under warranty. Which clearly states I get my money back. BULLCRAP!! All you get is a voucher for what Taurus sells the gun for. Not for what you paid, but the factory price.
I paid $349 and they gave me a $332 credit towards a new firearm. More than that? I owe the difference. Less than that? Kiss the balance goodbye. Don't want another Taurus? Tough crap, you just lose it.
So I find a different model (not buying the same model). I owe $76 more. But wait!! There's more!!
Turns out they WON'T ship it to my house. And they WON'T ship it to the store I bought it from! It has to be shipped to a Taurus dealer that accepts 3rd party transfers. Closest one? 57 miles away. AND I have to pay that dealer $35 just for the privilege of walking in, signing my name, and walking out. TOTAL B.S.
NEVER BUY A TAURUS!! My GX2 was a piece of crap, sent it in twice for the same problem, had to call them myself because they wouldn't call me, they DON'T give you your money back, and you are screwed if you want a different firearm.
Worst freaking customer service, worst freaking firearm company I have dealt with.
I honestly give it negative 5 stars.

How my repair went

I sent a repair request and they sent me the shipping label. They were able to get it back to me in around a month and half, and it was covered under lifetime warranty so thank you taurus. The only thing I wish they did different was send me an email when they got it and when they sent it out but other than that they did me right.

Yeah... No.

I called trying to source a pin for a 1992 Taurus pt92 AFS. I was told that it was not available and it was a restricted part. A pin. A restricted part. So the pin that they didn't have nor could get, followed by, " send it in and we'll get it taken care of, for a fee." How? You just said you don't have it and you can't get it. Anyway, roll pins exist.. also replaced the factory barrel and locking block with a Beretta 92 barrel and locking block. Much more accurate pistol now. Luckily for me the pistol was free. I'll take an actual 92 over it any day though.

Just wanted to purchase an optic plate for a GC3…

I purchased an optic plate for a GC3 from the Taurus website and ran into all kinds of issues. The list price was $12.99 plus $8.74 for shipping. When I received the receipt, the price was $19.99 plus shipping. I called and emailed Taurus and was told they'd look into the website, refund the difference in price and ship the plate. Later that day I received an email that they submitted the order for a refund and another email with an invoice at nearly 3x the purchase price. At this point I figured the website was compromised and contacted Taurus to make sure I received a refund for the suspect transaction. I was then told that the order was shipped and I would have to wait to receive it to get a refund. By this time I already decided not to put optics on that gun and just wanted a refund for the correct amount. They said to contact them when it arrives and they will send me a return label. So I Finally received the Plate, return label, shipped it back to Taurus and waited for my refund. I got an email yesterday with the return confirmation and noticed that they decided to charge me for return shipping anyway! So I emailed them again and reminded them of all the issues with this order and how they were going to send me a return label to take care of it. I was told that they feel they shipped the correct part and that I should be responsible for the return. Really? That's how they want to do this? I was warned about Taurus's customer service and now I know what people were talking about. That's the last purchase I'll make from Taurus. I'll stick with Beretta and Smith & Wesson from now on.

Taurus International Manufacturing

Taurus International Manufacturing, Inc. has one of the worst customer service departments out of any firearms manufacturer I've dealt with to date. I broke a small trigger group part on a Taurus 605 revolver. Called Taurus Customer Service and was informed they don't provide trigger group parts and I would have to send the firearm back to them for repair. The representative quoted I would automatically be charged $50 for breaking a part. That would be the initial charge. The remaining parts, labor, and shipping charges would be determined after completion of services. The representative stated the repair would take 6 to 8 weeks to complete. Additionally, I was told I could try a local gunsmith for assistance. This is a totally piss poor way to run a business. I decided to take the local gunsmith route and see if this could expedite the process. Evidently, their representatives are coached to lie for a living. The gunsmith stated Taurus would not sale him the part and that Taurus will regularly not provide parts to purchase. Taurus, by design, makes the customer send the firearm back to Taurus for repair or service. Hence, by design, Taurus can charge any asinine amount to repair your firearm. This was my first and last Taurus firearm I will purchase. Sticking with Ruger or Smith & Wesson for my revolvers. I should have known better.

Do not trust them!

I placed an order for an "in stock" sight for my Taurus revolver. After nearly a month since ordering, 3 phone calls and continued promises that it would be shipped out, I was told today they have no idea when my "in stock" part will be shipped and I can cancel my order if I liked. Unbelievable!!

Taurus Customer Service is The Worst

So Taurus completely failed me as well as everyone else who placed an order 3 weeks ago. Just called again for the 4th time and this time they told me that all orders placed 3 weeks ago cannot be shipped because their systems crashed and everything was lost so they can pull the orders by order number but cannot ship them so only orders placed this week and after can be processed, so of course my next question was, well why can't you just re-do my order then since you have it there and ship it? He said they can't do that because corporate will not allow it and that my choice would be to re-do the order again and I said no. I am not doing that. Your responsibility in this matter is to fulfill the order, not tell the customer to re-do it again and get charged again, especially when you have all the information there, but he said no, so they are going to mail me a refund check for the amount I spent. What a joke. What a great customer service these people have. Never again. Never buying anything from them again.

Potential customers should exercise extreme caution when considering purchases directly from Taurus.

Review: Persistent Customer Service & Order Fulfillment Issues with Taurus
This review details two separate, unsatisfactory experiences with Taurus's customer service and order fulfillment processes, spanning from late 2024 into mid-2025. My aim is to provide a comprehensive account of the challenges encountered, hoping to inform potential customers and encourage improvements from the company.

First Experience: Delayed Order & Chargeback (Late 2024 - Early 2025)

My December 2024 order faced significant delays into 2025. Attempts to gain information from customer service proved futile. Despite numerous calls, representatives could not provide an estimated delivery timeframe, leaving the order status uncertain. Over 12 hours were spent on hold over several days, indicating severe customer support deficiencies. Given the indefinite delay, I requested cancellation and full refund and was told it would be done right away. After a month without refund, I initiated a bank chargeback. Immediately upon the chargeback, Taurus shipped the item, seemingly to invalidate the claim. My bank approved the chargeback after I provided proof of refused delivery and completed return to sender. This raised concerns about their operational transparency.

Second Experience: Incorrect Item & Unprofessional Conduct (July 2025)

Despite a prior negative experience, a July 2025 discount and G3C 17 round magazine availability prompted me to try Taurus again. I ordered a single magazine, hoping for redemption. Unfortunately, the second experience mirrored the first: I received a used magazine with the wrong sleeve (for a larger pistol, not compact G3C).

Customer service was reached within 15 minutes (an improvement). However, they offered only a replacement sleeve for the used magazine, which I declined, insisting on a brand new, not used one. The return process was inconvenient: I must ship via FedEx across town, despite original USPS delivery. The correct replacement won't ship until my return is received, prolonging resolution.

Most concerning: during a polite, professional call, I informed the representative I was recording (permissible in Kansas, knowing Taurus records calls). The representative immediately stated they'd terminate the call if I recorded, then hung up. This refusal, following my disclosure, strongly suggests a lack of transparency and a desire to avoid accountability.

Overall Assessment & Recommendation

Taurus exhibits systemic issues in customer service and order fulfillment. The pattern includes:

Order Inaccuracy: Incorrect/used items.

Inconvenient Returns: Burdensome procedures for company errors.

Lack of Proactive Resolution: Expecting customers to accept compromises. (used item when ordered new)

Poor Communication & Accountability: Long waits, no updates, refusal of transparent communication (call incident).

Questionable Business Practices: Shipping items after chargeback to invalidate claims.

While Taurus products may be good, customer experience is severely undermined. The company shows minimal commitment to satisfaction, doing only what's legally required. My second chance was equally disappointing. I will update this review based on the replacement outcome is less than promised. Given cumulative issues, especially the call incident, I strongly advise extreme caution when buying directly from Taurus. My personal decision is to avoid future orders, regardless of product availability or discounts.

I purchased a Taurus TX22 for my…

I purchased a Taurus TX22 for my daughter. I own a GC3 (zero complaints about it) anyway, this TX22 has at most 250-300 rounds through it. The other day I was using it helping my friend Clara at ATW Fire Arms (ATWFI.com) run their Firearms Safety class and noticed it was keyholing. At home I disassembled it, removed the thread protector, and the barrel tip was basically half missing. Should be a simple RMA warranty request, right? Wrong. I confirmed it was registered and covered under warranty. My journey into frustration and ridiculousness began yesterday 06/24/25 at 12:04pm I called and sat in queue for 1hr 31min 18 sec listening to awful hold music punctuated with messages about “how important my call was, "all agents are busy" and "higher than average call times", after holding for 30+ minutes I was told my hold would be approximate 45 minutes. I then lost patience and chose the call back option. I received a call back 2hrs and 30 minutes later at 3:47pm which my cell company (Verizon) marked as "Potential Spam" and sent directly to voicemail. I called back almost immediately (5 minutes) and again dropped into the "all our agents are busy" hell. I immediately hung up planning I’d call back the next day at 8am. 06/25/25 I called at 8:30am and was immediately greeted with guess what? "Experiencing higher than normal call volume", I am nothing if not stubborn & patient. It took approximately 45 minutes for me to get an agent. The person I spoke to was a very pleasant southern accented woman who while trying to be helpful is basically just there to repeat "company policy". Well, what is company policy you ask? @taurususa wanted me to send them the entire firearm (they would provide the label) after which in 6-8 weeks they’d replace the barrel (maybe). I can purchase a new barrel from their site for $64.99 and have it in about 5-7 days. This is ridiculous. They could have just comped and sent me a new barrel and in doing so would not have lost a customer.

0 Stars Should Be An Option

I gave them 1 star, only because 0 wasn't an option. I ordered 3 front sights and 1 rear sight for my Taurus TH9c. There was no problem with the rear sight. Each of the 3 front sights came in a small bag with the sight, screw, and hex wrench. The problem was, still is, the hex wrench was as big around as the screw, and far too big to fit in the screw. I contacted customer "service". I was asked to email a photo of the wrench to her. I emailed a photo and received a reply that said she looked at the photo and that was the right size wrench for the sights. She must have microscopic eyesight to tell from a photo that it was a 1.3mm wrench. So I replied that it was NOT the right size and included a photo of the right size, a 1.3mm wrench I had, in the screw, next to the larger wrench that was included with the sight. I told her all I wanted was either the correct size wrench or I would send everything back and get a refund. It's been two weeks since I first contacted them and I haven't heard back since sending them the second photo. I've since purchased three 1.3mm wrenches to put in the bags with the sights which I keep as spares. Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever dealt with.

Taurus customer service absolutely…SUCKS

Taurus customer service absolutely SUCKS, they are simply impossible to get ahold of and do not respond to emails, phone calls, or support request from their own website. It took them weeks to even admit they had my UPS tracked and signed for TX22 and only responded after I sent them an old school letter telling them I was going to report the gun as stolen to their local county Sheriffs dept, and now three months later they still have it. Taurus may be ok if you get a well running gun out of the box, but they are absolutely doodoo if you need warranty repair. Google their Bainbridge GA facility, read the customer service-related reviews, and judge for yourselves. I will NEVER EVER purchase another Taurus product!

Warranty Service is Theft

I purchased a brand new firearm, it was having issues that made it inoperable out of the box, and it took almost a month and multiple attempts from me initially reaching out to their customer service to even get a ticket created and receive postage info to send it back in for repair. It has been well over a month since they have received it and I have been unable to reach them in the time since.
They have been using an excuse of transitioning to a new customer support system since at least February- it is a clear excuse for low staff, high turnover and horrible management. This is inexcusable over such a long period of time.

Customer service is not responsive

Taurus is extremely difficult to contact. Wait time on telephone to Customer Support is measured in hours (I've never gotten a response). Multiple emails to customer service go answered. No tracking information is provided with purchase. I'm still waiting weeks to get an order for three mags delivered. Portal for registering firearm for warranty isn't working properly.
