I had a below average experience with Symphonic's client support but since I've released on VEVO through Symphonic, Vanessa Schiano made the experience top tier. I'll be using Symphonic for as long as she is around.
Releasing a Record
I´m in the process of releasing a record and, so far, the Symphonic team has been helpful and fast answering my doubt and giving indications.

It seems Symphonic its trying to take the rights for old Releases.
Unprofessional: Withholding royalties and blocking account access without explanation.
I am extremely disappointed with Symphonic. After distributing my music with them successfully in 2025, they suddenly stopped paying my royalties in January 2026. My dashboard shows $0 despite my music being active on all platforms. When I reached out to ask for my earnings, they provided no clear answers and eventually blocked my account access.
My music was written by me and is created with a Suno Pro Plan, which grants me full commercial rights, yet they treat independent artists like scammers without providing any proof of "terms violations." They are keeping money that has already been paid by stores like YouTube Music and Spotify. Avoid this distributor if you want your hard-earned money to be safe.
The strange thing about this is that the same thing happened to three of my friends. This company is stealing thousands of dollars by pocketing the royalties when an artist’s earnings exceed thousands of dollars, which is exactly what happened to my four artists and my friends. What’s disappointing is that they keep scamming people, and I don’t see the government or any regulatory body doing anything to stop this behavior.
If you search on YouTube, you’ll see that even an entertainment lawyer has filed a complaint against them for using deceptive terms to keep their clients’ royalties. This is disappointing.

I received a reply saying I should respond here, but I don't see any option to do so, so I'm letting you know that I sent the following email to Symphonic with all the necessary screenshots. I look forward to your response.

FORMAL GRIEVANCE: Demand for Immediate Release of Royalties and Final Notice Before Legal Action
To the Symphonic Distribution Legal and Support Departments:
I am writing to file a formal grievance regarding the unjustified
withholding of royalties and the subsequent suspension of my artist
accounts associated with the following ID:
ACCOUNT ID: xxx
ACCOUNT ID: xxx
Statement of Facts:
I have fully complied with all contractual obligations, including the
payment of all membership fees. My content was created under a Suno
Pro license, which legally grants me all commercial rights and
ownership of the compositions and recordings distributed through your
platform. Any claim regarding a violation of terms based on the nature
of the content is unfounded and lacks legal merit.
Demands for Resolution:
January to April Reports: I demand the immediate delivery of detailed
royalty reports for the period of January through April 2026.
Reporting "$0" in January despite documented streaming activity is a
grave financial irregularity.
Unlawful Withholding of Funds: Withholding earned royalties after
reaching the payment threshold and blocking account access without
providing specific evidence of fraud constitutes an unfair and
deceptive business practice.
Account Access: I have been deprived of access to my intellectual
property and accounting records without a clear explanation, violating
my rights as a creator and client.
Final Notice of Legal Action:
Please consider this communication a formal notice of intent. If I do
not receive the detailed income reports and a definitive payment plan
for the release of my funds within five (5) business days, I will
immediately proceed with the following:
Filing a complaint with the Florida Attorney General for unfair and
deceptive trade practices and unlawful retention of funds.
Reporting this case to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the
FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) for corporate fraud in
digital services.
Submitting a formal tip to the SEC (Securities and Exchange
Commission) to investigate your protocols for handling third-party
funds.
Initiating collective legal action alongside other artists who have
been affected by these same practices.
I expect this matter to be resolved professionally and for my
intellectual property rights and the agreed-upon commercial terms to
be honored.

A high-level distributor!
A high-level distributor!
I am a DJ and producer who has consciously chosen to pursue an independent path.
Currently on a Starter account.
Beyond that, Symphonic is a serious, professional, and comprehensive distributor.
It offers many free and paid tools to ensure your music gets the recognition it deserves, and you can monitor every aspect of your tracks’ performance.
Your music will be distributed to virtually every online music store.
Customer service is impeccable; at times they replied within 10 minutes, explaining how to solve issues.
I hope this is the first of many years with this distributor. Highly recommended!
Outstanding support team
Outstanding support team, efficient communicators, as an independent artist they have been the most reliable and professional distributor. I recommend them
Help with EVERY step of the process. Thank you Vanessa and team
A HUGE thank you to Vanessa for her knowledgable, professional, kind, and patient guidance through our first video submission. We're not a professional musical group. We are just an amateur group of musicians who make music together hoping to entertain, inspire, and educate the community. So Vanessa's kind support through every step of the process was greatly appreciated. We look forward to our next opportunity to work with her or her team. Thank you!
Easy process to switch distributor and release music
I am really pleased with the platform so far I am just about to have my first release with Symphonic, as I have just switched distributor. The process of switching and preparing for my next release was really smooth and easy. I had to contact the customer service to answer few questions and the answer was always quick and helpful.
Singles release 101
I've had lots of coaching from Symphonic on how to release an album through their platform and we are well on our way. The one area that remained a mystery was the difference between how to handle an Instant Grat track on Apple Music and a "single" on all other DSPs. That only became clear in the final 48 hours before the first single release date, so we really had to hustle to create single graphics and go through the singles release process. All good now, but a stressful last couple of days!

I've been with Symphonic since 2023
I've been with Symphonic since 2023. My dashboard shows I have zero views on Facebook. Last month my account was restricted. I can't upload any new songs. Since 2023, my YouTube analytics show 300,000 views, and my Symphonic royalties are $41.35
* Update: To Symphonic - Thanks for answering.
Symphonic Legal, Trust & Safety emailed me a notice in March 2026 that my account submission privileges were restricted for continued resubmissions. I had fans constantly messaging me that they loved my music but the volume was a little too loud. I resubmitted my releases several times to turn down the volume.
Please let me know who I can contact at Symphonic to resolve this.

Symphonic withheld all royalties and locked all accounts after I filed regulatory complaints.
I subscribed to Symphonic's Starter Plan based on their advertised "Unlimited Tracks and Releases" — no volume limits, no hidden fees disclosed at signup. I paid $44.96 across four authorized accounts and distributed ~500 albums and ~3,000 tracks. Symphonic's own staff approved my multi-account structure in writing in July 2025.
January 28, 2026: Symphonic restricted my primary account with no specific reason. December 2025 royalties disappeared entirely — no itemized statement, no deduction records provided. Support tickets went unanswered for 5+ weeks.
After I filed BBB (#24604635) and Florida AG complaints, Symphonic introduced a new "Improper Activity" accusation never mentioned before — with zero specifics.
April 3, 2026: Symphonic deactivated my Google login entirely, locking all four accounts simultaneously, removed all music from all platforms, and issued a written statement it will "retain ALL Royalties" — directly contradicting its own March 24 BBB commitment to "permit withdrawal of eligible royalties."
February and March 2026 royalties across all accounts remain inaccessible. DSP royalties from streams before takedown will continue arriving for months — all unreachable.
BBB Complaint #24604635: closed "Not Resolved." FTC complaint filed. Florida AG complaint filed.
No complaints so far
No complaints so far. Customer service goes above and beyond within the bounds they can. They’re really timely too, fast responses and smooth release process. Thanks again

SYMPHONIC DISTRO Cust Svc Review ‘26
I’ve been getting Banned nationwide and also having terrible Customer Service experiences with Distribution platforms.
That is until I unraveled Symphonic Starter Package. I’m a hobbyist and willing to produce my own music. Distribution is where I run out of time. Symphonic Customer Service is Fantastic. I highly recommend Symphonic Distro over others. If you do not have the social footprint or tour dates then invest in the Starter Pkg.
U CAN THANK ME L8r

Been using these guys to run my label for some years now and the experience has been great. Sometimes we had issues with releases and slow support, but the moment they gave us a dedicated account manager, everything was resolved and we have been super happy since then.

Client Relations response
I replied to an email from Client Relations for a specific question I had concerning debut releasing. I had done some research myself on Symphonic's website and some external sources, but was still left with some questions. Although I was very pleased with the quick response time (about two hours same day) and being answered by a real human being, I was given a brief response that directed me to their website help page that I had already seen. I would have appreciated more detailed or personalized help, especially as someone new to the platform.

So far so good. Much better than amuse, if anything. Interface is a bit clunky. But does the job. Big plus is that support is accessible, responsive and helpful (which is rare woth dogital services these days).
