Biggest scam I’ve seen in a long time

Biggest scam I’ve seen in a long time. I don’t believe the “tech” who came to my house was even a plumber. (He arrived in a non- descript white suv with no company logo). Within 3 minutes he tried to sell me on a $4000 contract to replace my pressure tank with the largest they have, and all the associated piping, valves and gauges. He didn’t seem to know that a larger pressure tank cannot increase the system pressure (which is the job of the pressure switch), and that a pressure tank must be sized to match the capacity of the well pump. He also told me that it was ok that my pressure relief valve was leaking (said that was normal!) and also said that my 40/60 system is working fine even though it’s topping out at 45 psi! Did not come prepared to replace the PRV (that was what I specifically asked for when I called) and did not do anything to diagnose what was actually happening. This is obviously just a process to push the highest value contract they can on unsuspecting customers. Do NOT trust this web scam system!

Service was super fast

Service was super fast , basically same day. We had an emergency leak in the ceiling, and the technician showed up quickly. He had to cut a bit of drywall, but we found the leak and he managed to seal it.

Kitchen sink was not draining…

Our Kitchen sink was not draining -Superior Plumbing assessor Aaron came to examine and suggested to have camera inspection of the pipe -then do Hydrojet treatment which will restore the pipes completely and camera inspection again to show us how the kitchen drain pipes are "restored" -said we should not have a problem again for 20+ years-quoted us $2 150 + tax for this work. We paid 50% deposit -Same day later Kyle arrived -did not have the proper size camera but did Hydrojet treatment of pipe under kitchen floor but was not able to do it past second or third elbow in piping -said it should be fine and hopefully we are good for about 2 years. Superior plumbing was calling us 2 days later to collect the rest of the money -we asked to have someone come back to do camera inspection as our sink draining was still not draining properly -Matt on the phone said camera inspection is not available as it was only complimentary service but later said he would find out and call me back -week later offering $ 150 discount but still no camera inspection available -I told him we had to use our snake to unclog the drain again -work not done properly as promised -he called back next day said camera inspection can be done but for additional pay-we explained again what was promised and Matt called next day and said OK we can do camera inspection -But at this point I have already contacted another plumber who will fix this problem at much more reasonable cost. We told Superior plumbing we have lost all of our trust in this company and don't want them to come back. I DO NOT recommend this company!!

Water in Basement

Woke up to water in our basement and in a panic we called Superior Plumbing. They were able to send a plumber to our house hours later and he was able to find the leak. Found the price to be very reasonable given that they provided same day service for an urgent issue.

Never called back...

Called the Napanee office and spoke to a receptionist about a repair at our trailer. Said she would ask her manager. 3 days later and still no call back. After seeing these other reviews, I'm glad I didn't engage them.

I had a kitchen faucet installed today

I had a kitchen faucet installed today. The plumber who came was both knowledgeable and professional. He kept me updated on everything that was being done. Outstanding service and a very nice guy. He did a great job and did not leave until he was sure everything was working properly. My new faucet looks great. I will certainly recommend Superior Plumbing to others when the chance arises.

Scammed out our money

Scammed out our money. This is not a reputable company. Issue was not fixed after charging 700 dollars to our credit card. Said they would have to cut into pipes, but couldn’t come back the next day. Called another company who fixed problem next day in a an hour and a half and charged only 268 dollars. He said he has been called to fix many issues this company has left in its wake, needs to be shut down!! Scammers. Still waiting for the dispute to be resolved with credit card. 😡😡😡

Dishonest pricing

Dishonest pricing. Quoted $1850-$2350 for a job that ended up costing $250. No way a job that takes <1 hour with no special equipment should cost that much.

Pushy sales, impossible to get a hold of the office.

Warning!!!!

Warning – Superior Plumbing

On Friday, April 10, 2026, I had a minor toilet leak at my home in Fort Erie.

I first contacted a local plumber, but they couldn’t come until Monday. I then called Superior Plumbing. A representative phoned me (289-***-3930) and quoted a $145 service call, with a technician expected between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

No one showed up.

I was later told the repair would cost $750 plus tax, and my Visa was charged $423.50.

At 2:00 PM, the main office called to say they might come the next day (Saturday). Again — no one showed up.

A friend later looked at the issue and fixed it in two minutes — it was simply a loose bolt.

I reported the charge to Visa as a fraudulent transaction, and the amount was fully reversed.

👉 My recommendation: Avoid this company.

Unreliable service, no-shows, and excessive charges for a very simple repair.

If I could give less than one star I…

If I could give less than one star I would!! This company should be investigated for shady practices!! My kitchen sink was clogged, would not drain and then water began to drip out of the ceiling below the sink. I called, they came and determined that the pipe was full of grease. I need my kitchen sink and was not able to fix it myself. I was also concerned about water damage or leaking drains since the water came out of the ceiling. They quoted me $3100 to FIX the problem and said it would be warrantied for five years. Great, I wasn't pleased to have to pay that much but the problem would be fixed and warrantied - right? I asked for a written quote including all that would be done covered and then agreed to the 50 % deposit. (The written quote was not sent to me until the next day -after the work was done)The guy came out that night - spent less than 2 hours, used the hydrojet and cleared the drain. Then he said the work would NOT be warrantied and the problem was NOT fixed because the grade of the drain pipe was wrong. He cut a 12 inch by 12 inch hole into my ceiling, shone a flashlight around and said he didn't see any water. Did not seal any pipes or drains - did not fix the hole he just cut into my ceiling. Then he proceeds to dump the GREASE WATER down my toilet ?? When he doesn't go down immediately, he says "Oh no that's not good". I pointed to the little handle and told him maybe flush it? He says he should have gone down without flushing. I didn't have a problem with my toilet but maybe that's because I don't flush grease water down it?? So then he gets his camera, looks into my septic drain and says there is a problem with my pipes that go to my septic tanks?? So then they quote $15 000 to fix that pipe!!! I called because of a kitchen drain - didn't get it FIXED, did not get a warranty I was promised and now they want to scam me out of another $15 thousand dollars!!! SHAME ON YOU!!!

I feels like a scam

We recently had a water leak problem in our home boiler and called Superior Plumbing. Surprisingly, we had an immediate response. The service technician looked at the boiler, took a bunch of pictures, and after a short time told me that the boiler needed to be replaced at a cost of $17,500. At no time did he inspect the boiler to determine the actual cause of the water leak. We subsequently had another service technician look at it, fixed the problem - it was a leaky gasket, a minor repair,

Scammed by Superior Plumbing and Out $4,000.00

On July 9, 2025, we lost water in our home and contacted Superior Plumbing for emergency service. A technician, Jamar, arrived and immediately pointed out a flipped breaker switch but didn’t check to see if the pump worked after flipping it back on. He told us the problem was definitely a failed cistern pump and quoted us $8,023 to replace it. When I asked about alternatives, I was told we could replace the contact switch for $1,700 and then possibly the junction box for $6,800—but Jamar assured us the pump had to be the issue.

We were desperate—no water during a heatwave and a disabled person in the home—so we agreed to the job and paid a $4,000 deposit. However, the work was delayed. A supervisor later admitted Jamar failed to check the system tank release. The job was pushed to the weekend.

On the fourth day without water, I noticed a drip from the tap. I tested all faucets—and they worked. The pump was fine. The problem had been the breaker switch all along. Superior Plumbing never verified this and misdiagnosed the issue.

We canceled the job immediately and requested a full refund on July 12. I was told someone would contact me, but no one followed up. After multiple calls and emails, Andrew Smith eventually confirmed a partial refund of $3,831.63 (deducting a $168.37 visit fee), but said it would take 10 business days.

I also asked that the refund be issued in the same form it was paid (half Visa, half e-transfer). I was told it was “already in progress” and couldn’t be changed. As of July 26, no refund has appeared, and calls/emails have gone unanswered. When I followed up again, I was told refunds may take 10–15 business days, contradicting the earlier timeline.

This company misdiagnosed the problem, charged a large deposit for unnecessary work, and provided extremely poor communication. I strongly caution others against using Superior Plumbing.
