Got scammed out of $39.95!

Got scammed out of $39.95!
Woke up this morning and looked at my bank account. There was a charge for 39.95 from a dclstr.clickBOYNTONBEACHFl.
Looked it up and it was a fake company called STREAMENTERTAINMENT.NET.
Last week I had a charge for 1.95 from same. Thought it was part of my UBER ride so I dismissed it. Now I know that when I set up an UBER account and gave them my credit card # it signed me up for STREAMENTERTAINMENT services. This is a scam. Be very careful. I was able to get a new debit card issued but still have to fill out paperwork and wait up to 120 days to see if Mastercard will refund me.

I was also downloading a Uber App and ended up entering my information on the redirect from this company. At the bottom of the application, I saw in small print that this is a free 3-day trial for streamentertainment.net and that I would be charged $39.95/month is I didn't cancel. I found a phone number 1-833-658-4893, however it's Saturday and they are closed. I will call Monday morning

Out of the blue

Out of the blue, $39.95 showed up on my bank account. Shortly thereafter, Wells Fargo reversed the charges. Then, the charges appeared again a week later. This time I called the bank. They wanted me to file a claim and ask for new card. I said I needed to see what debits I might have outstanding before doing that. Then, I called the number on the charges, IPANDN.NET 8447411387. They said it was for streamentertainment.net. They agreed to refund my money and stop the service. I do not remember signing up for anything anywhere. Total SCAM!

Free account is a scam and impossible to cancel!

This company claims to offer a free account in its banner ads but later - at sign up - and in very small print says it charges $40 per month if that "free" account is not cancelled within three days. Then I could not figure out how to cancel the account on line. Instead I was told to call the support phone line. But the customer support phone number designated for cancellations was not a working phone number! This is a total scam.

Watch out when downloading a parking app!!

I was also downloading a parking app and ended up entering my information on the redirect from this company. At the end I saw in the small print that this was a free 3-day trial for streamentertainment.net and then I would be charged $39.95/month is I didn't cancel. I immediately froze the card. I found their website and had to update a password in order to login and saw that I did have a new account. I was able to find the phone number to call for cancelling on the website. I called this morning, got right through and they looked up my account and cancelled it. Customer service was very professional and I am supposed to get a confirmation email within 24 hours. I'm keeping my card frozen until then!

Was downloading the "ParkMobile" app so…

Was downloading the "ParkMobile" app so I thought, and immediate knew it was a scam because it didn't ask for location of parked car. My CC company denied the charge. I have been trying to call this company to cancel the subscription; however, every time I call their number it gives me a different number option to enter on the phone key pad to speak with customer service and the phone disconnects every time. I am unable to unsubscribe. I will have the credit card company deny the charge.

Parking Scam

Was downloading the "ParkMobile" app so I thought, and immediate knew it was a scam because it didn't ask for location of parked car. Hurried and froze my card. Two day later see a spam email from this company saying free trail and membership to unlimited streaming. Got with customer service, and they want to explain a product I never intended to purchase. Just cancel, and my card will stay froze.

Watch for sneaky pop-ups

Watch for sneaky pop-ups. Like others while adding a parking app ended up giving my information to this streaming company. I did receive a confirmation email from stream entertainment but it is a .com not .net and I cannot successfully cancel. Will have to go through hassle of cancelling credit card.

A very tricky SCAM!!

I had the same experience as other others have listed. Thought I was downloading the Uber app, and after entering my credit card information, it took me to a page saying I had signed up for streamentertainment.net. This company somehow pirated information from Uber so that it looked like everything was for Uber until after I had already submitted my credit card information. I had no way of contacting them and no confirmation of anything. After many attempts to contact the company, someone finally answered the phone and asked for the first six digits of my credit card number and the last four digits of my credit card number. I refused to give her that information over the phone, after asking for my email address, she told me that my subscription was canceled. The whole conversation sounded extremely suspicious, and I still have my doubts that I spoke with a legitimate person. I asked for an email, confirming the cancellation and the woman I spoke to said I would receive one. I still haven’t received any communication from them.

I consider myself to be very alert for things like this. I am extremely careful who I give my information out to. This scam was very, very tricky! BE CAREFUL!!

This is a scam

This is a scam. Check your credit card. They tried to charge my VISA for two months as "gobod" but the phone at VISA, 844-478-3540, is a "billing company". It does not connect to "stream entertainment ". It is a scam. Watch your credit card statement !!

SCAM As others stated

Exactly as others stated. Total SCAM - I googled the Murphy Gas App, it came up to install, I clicked install, entered my cc info, email, etc. only to realize it was not the Murphy App at all. Streamentertainment data fields came up superimposed over Murphy App fields(?) and there was no way of knowing until it was too late. I had to put a hold on my credit card as there is a $1.95 pending charge that I will need to dispute. A shady and dishonest method at work here -SCAM. They should be barred from such practice. Tried to email their support and email returned as not valid. No phone number available for contact.

SCAM. STREAMENTERTAINMENT

Likewise, a SCAM
I had no idea I was giving my credit card info to streamentertainment!!!
I thought I was downloading the Chick-fil-A site to purchase dinner. I have never even heard of stream entertainment and was horrified to know that I gave out my information to this website. I tried to cancel and finally after two days of great effort, managed to send a message stating that I wanted to cancel any subscription that they had fraudulently signed me into. thankfully I could freeze my card. However, this process has caused me much anxiety and inconvenience. Honestly, I thought I was smarter than this, so please be careful thinking you are signing into a website and having it turn out to be like the mistake I just made!!!!!!!

Same experience as others

Same experience as others! Tried downloading the Passport Parking App in Lowell, Ma. Entered my credit card information hit done thinking it was for parking and NOPE it was a subscription to Streamentertainment! I was alerted of a fraud charge to my card from my bank. Went on the try to cancel the subscription and couldn’t. Called the support number and conveniently they aren’t available weekends. Very very sneaky and unethical practice!

Likewisescammer

Likewise, a scam. Went to public parking at beach in FL. This crap came up, sun on phone, hard to see.
Never completed, canceled on their "site". Will likely experience the hassle of cleaning this up like others.

This appa is a SCAM

"The application is a fraud because it doesn't create any membership where you can check your account, so no cancellations can be made. They take the card information and start charging immediately, despite saying the charges would begin after 3 days."
