Irreplaceable family photos lost — no resolution
After using Smooth Photo Scanning in the past, I decided to give them another try for a large and complicated photo order. Most scans were fine, but four large items — including a painting by my late mother and a blueprint of the home my family grew up in — were never scanned, and returned, though I was not charged.
I contacted the company multiple times. The owner claimed he looked for the items but adamantly denied I sent them, was unhelpful and offered no resolution.
These items are irreplaceable and caused a lot of distress. I filed complaints with the NJ Department of Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau to no avail. I would think twice before using this company.
