Actually stuck with Mandarin for once, great progress!

I’ve tried learning Mandarin on and off for years (mostly apps and self-study) and never made it past the basics. I started taking classes with Sishu Mandarin a few months ago and it’s the first time I’ve actually stayed consistent.

I’m finishing Level 1 now and moving into HSK2, which I honestly didn’t expect. The biggest difference for me was the structure combined with a low-pressure environment. The classes are focused but not rigid, and it feels like you’re encouraged to actually speak and make mistakes rather than just memorize.

I also appreciated that the pacing felt realistic for someone balancing work - it didn’t feel overwhelming, but I was still making clear progress each week (I go once a week)

Overall, it’s been a really solid experience and something I’ve genuinely enjoyed sticking with. Thank you to the great staff here for making me feel welcome!!
