I bought a hospital bed for my elderly…

I bought a hospital bed for my elderly parent from Shop Home Med and the whole thing was pretty straightforward. I found their website very user friendly, the range of health products was of good quality, and the checkout process was very fast. The delivery came within 4 days, everything was nicely packed and the bed was just like in the picturestrong and comfortable.

If it weren't for a short delay caused by a slight misunderstanding about the confirmation of the shipping address, which postponed the delivery by one day, and the company's reply on email through customer service, their problem, solving, and agitation could have easily gotten 5 stars. The price is very reasonable, and I would consider shopping there again for medical supplies.

I have been attempting to use my FSA…

I have been attempting to use my FSA card without first having to use a debit card and then reimburse myself, which is aggravating. Your site had no issues and I was done within a matter of minutes. It is greatly appreciated. I have severe health issues currently and so to accomplish something with no frustration is like a gift. Thank you so much.

I didn't get my bed only the mattress

I didn't get my bed only the mattress. I am sleeping in a chair until I can get my bed and put it together. Please someone help me figure out why I got only one of three boxes.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

My experience has been a disaster from the start. Invacare Full Electric Hospital Bed Package received, covered in scratches and dents and a motor that doesn't work. HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SUPPORT - dealing with this has basically become a full-time job for me for an entire week. One week later I finally received a replacement and was guaranteed the bed would be set-up (I paid for WGS) by the next morning and then was informed by the WGS company, NOT Shop Home Med, that it would actually be sometime the following week and have not heard from SHM since. I have been paying almost $500/day, out of pocket, for my mother to stay in rehab facility because she cannot come home without this bed. Unethical and disgusting company.

Your order was delivered within the stated delivery timeframe. When you reported damage and a motor issue, a replacement bed was authorized and shipped, which you confirmed was received. That replacement resolved the product issue.

Regarding WGS white-glove service: scheduling and timing are handled directly by the third-party installation provider, not Shop Home Med. While we coordinate the order, we do not control their technician availability or scheduling changes, and any updates regarding timing come directly from WGS. This is standard and disclosed at checkout.

Shop Home Med did not guarantee next-day installation, nor do we make representations about rehab or facility discharge timelines. Costs incurred with a rehab facility are outside our control and not the responsibility of Shop Home Med.

We acted promptly to replace the product and provided the services purchased. We remain available to assist with coordination, but we cannot accept responsibility for third-party scheduling delays or facility-related expenses.

Don’t buy this bed

Don’t buy this bed! I have a 90 year old father who was having difficulty getting in and out of bed. It is a liability! The main issue I have with the bed is that the mattress provided is thin, lightweight and slippery. When my father goes to sit on the bed, the mattress moves several inches back. I not only had an issue with the product itself but there were missing pieces and theproduct got damaged during delivery. The frame was slightly bent, missing caps, missing knobs for the rails, and the bottom (foot side) adjustable legs were stuck (could be as a result of frame being slightly bent). I have put in for a refund but no response on how to go about getting refund, instead I get instructions on how to lower a bed or to take pictures of what I do have. All this time my dad is having to sleep on the couch until I get an answer. I spent almost $1000 on a bed which he can’t even use because I feel it’s more unsafe than his old regular bed he use to sleep on .

We had an issue tracking our delivery because the carrier sent out a premature automated message. The folks at Shop Home Med answered my email ON THE WEEKEND, and gave me the correct information with who and how and when to contact. That’s customer service!

Terrible Customer Service

I ordered a very expensive bed (over $8,000), unfortunately the person I ordered it for became ill and ultimately passed away. I placed the order on hold and ultimately cancelled it. Disregarding the hold, they shipped the bed and are refusing the refund until they can retrieve the shipment, making their mistake my problem.

Simplicity in ordering

Simplicity in ordering. Have not received the product/item yet.
First of all, I must says the customer service was awesome! Contact person was Tiffaney.
Well, I received bed today Jan 22nd. Agent (only 1 not 2 as expected)put it together in about 2 1/2 hours. However he was not able to get it fully working although he tried. Finally he says it was NOT part of his job anyway. Told me to contact the company. Also I paid $445.00 for white glove delivery, but it was non-existent. All the trash was left here for me to dispose of! Agent again says that was not part of his job. I must say the small booklet was explanatory and my daughter and I were able to get it working! The only disappointment with the bed so far is the mattress does not lift the legs high enough to help with circulation problems as promised. Heck it does not lift the legs at all like shown in the video, This was VERY important to me. My daughter had to stack pillows under my feet to get the desired height. 01/22/26

Beware!

Beware of doing business with this company. They post all over the website that they have a 30 day return policy so if you are buying mobility devices or products that you are unsure will work for you, you feel comfortable spending the money knowing that you can make the return. I spent $2000 on a transfer device that would not fit close enough to my wheelchair to work, when I went to return it they said it was a 25% restocking fee! That’s $500! Plus I have to spend the money on shipping this huge box back. When it’s all said and done I’d be at a $700 loss on a product they said was returnable within 30 days. They have to know that the common expectation when they say that is that you get a full refund. This is so deceptive. Watch out!
