Reseller for ADT, better contact ADT directly...
I called ADT on the 5th December. Chose a package for 199 pounds and £28/month. The nive gentleman on the phone said they would be able to install it before christmas.
They sent me an email with the agreement, which I printed, read, signed, scanned and send back the next day (6/dec).
After 1 week I heard nothing back, even though payment had been made. I emailed the people I had to send the documents to to enquire why noone had contacted me and I got this response:
"ADT are very busy this time of the year. I am sure they will get back to you soon."
I then responded:
I was promised over the phone it would be installed before Christmas. And in the email below it says:
“Once we have received your completed forms ADT will contact you directly to arrange your ADT Alarm Installation”
“Directly” does not mean a week later – and really, if you’re busy you shouldn’t make such claims to begin with.
If I don’t get a call from you by tomorrow or if the security is not installed before Christmas, I will make alternative arrangements not involving yourselves.
The response I got from that was:
"It won’t be installed before Christmas. Would you like to cancel your order?"
Which naturally I did want to do, and just on time, as it was within the 7 days cancellation timeframe after you sign the agreement.
