Lfd10 wiring kit

I bought an interface wiring kit to install a stereo in my car. It was specifically to do "a professional install" retaining steering wheel controls. It does do this, but what it failed to mention is that it loses the backup camera. Support told me that I'd have to buy additional equipment or an aftermarket camera in order to keep the camera. So if you buy the lfd10 interface you either give up the camera in trade for the steering wheel controls or pay more money to retain the camera.

This thing broke my phone the day I bought it

I bought this thing for my electric scooter just to see my phone while I'm riding it and my phone flew right off and it broke instantly, DO NOT BUY THIS because the box claimed it can "hold my phone steady" and is "safe for traveling" and it DID NOT do that, do not waste your money buying this piece of 3D printed piece of crap, waste of freaking money.............

Failure to provide a prompt response to an urgent safety issue

My reason for a one star review is the failure of this Company to provide a response or auto reply to my email of 23rd May concerning safety issues for one of their products

The product concerned is the HUD2 OBDII "Heads Up" LED display.

When plugged into the OBD socket beneath the steering wheel of a 2009 Land Rover Freelander II the product seemed to be functioning satisfactorily but would not run continuously.

Decided to road test with the display fitted temporarily only to find the brakes locked up. Fortunately this happened at a low speed and I was able to unplug the HUD and get going safely.

This could be dangerous.

Some brief research on the internet shows that some vehicle manufacturers may have security controls in place to prevent the OBD socket being utilised to steal the vehicle. Surely the Scosche device should be designed so that it is not thwarted by routine security precautions?

Will now add a short review of the product:-

The retailer suggested there might be problems in reading it in bright sunshine. On my trial fitting it was quite readable on a bright day and better than the Freelander speedo that is too dimly lit both night and day.

A good position for the HUD might have been to shine over the rev counter that is shaded by a hood. Unfortunately the long stiff power connection to the centre of the leading edge of the product made this rather difficult.
