Absolutely the worst customer experience iv ever had, ordered a sander and hoover package, was delayed 2 months, complained and told if in didn't want to wait then cancel, told today pre order dispatched, turned up with just the hoover and no sander. Look in there site and sander now saying end of may, no mention of just sending the hoover, absolutely disgraceful customer service, I suggest you never to buy from them, will be requesting a refund und for my sander and expect it to be given. I'm fuming, and no number to actually speak to someone

Ordered a couple of items from Rutland and had no problems with my orders and more importantly no problem with delivery. I was contacted regularly about my purchases delivery and everything went smoothly

"Don’t buy this product . Don’t use rutlands at all !! I purchased a detail sander from rutlands in November of last year. it is a professional grade machine at a cost of £147. Not cheap . ! But I thought I was buying a high quality product.
It has had light use in the preceding months since then. The pad that holds the sanding sheets ( Velcro like ) has failed after this short time. As a professional grade machine ( 3 times the price of diy quality sander ) I expected better. Having had a previous Bosch detail sander , the backing pad is still fully functional after 9 years. I thought rutlands would replace the pad under the warranty. But no. They say it’s a consumable and offered a replacement for £40 plus postage.
I accept things wear, But not after just 6 months of light use !!! No other company I’ve ever dealt with has ever offered zero support for a faulty product. It’s clearly not fit for purpose.
I gave them every opportunity to do the right thing and resolve my complaint before writing this review. But they simply would not accept my issue.
So if you’re in the market for a professional grade tool that will fail after 6 months, then get zero warranty and after sales support , rutlands is the company for you. Lesson learnt the hard way, I’ll never use rutlands again and will warn my fellow tool buyers to use the many other reputable, good quality tool manufacturers out there."

Ordered twin orbital sander pack on 20th February, my money for a “pre order” was taken immediately. This order has since been delayed twice and Rutlands haven’t even bothered to contact me about a second delay. They must be aware of this as they are now stating a new, later delivery date on their website.
Keep your money and buy something similar on Amazon. I wish I had.
Update: i requested a refund due to the delay and this was processed within 24hours reassuring enough that I would consider ordering in the future if items were in stock.

Great quality tools I’ve been using Rutland for quite a long time I’ve had no complaints.

Have bought most of my power tools from Rutland's over the years. Never have had a problem with any tool. Living in Northern Ireland, there is almost always an issue with postage, having to ring to get price . Rutland's have a set price for N.I it's not too expensive and you can order straight away.

Amazing tools very happy quality

Had a problem with my 1st purchase, I must say customer services have been absolutely fantastic with my problem and everything have been sorted, the quality of the plunge saw is absolutely fantastic out performing other well known brands ive owned/own, i wouldn't hesitate purchasing other items to replace my other well known brands when they pack in, the price for some of their items are unbelievably cheap for the quality build...

Very quick delivery, decent tools

First time buying and had a good customer service with excellent experience from start to finish. Cordless plunge saw and track rail made cutting panelling MDF. Strips easy. A very satisfied customer.

I have ordered several items from Rutlands over the years and all have been excellent quality, and delivered very quickly, and I will continue to use them. However, I do have a couple of gripes. The first is the £8 delivery charge. I know this is for 'next day' delivery, but mostly, I am in no rush for my items and would appreciate a cheaper 3-4 day delivery option to be added to the list, especially for us OAPs. Secondly, the £10 voucher for writing a review can only be redeemed on purchases over £100. As I am never likely to order anything that expensive, the voucher is useless to me. It should be valid against all purchases over £10.

The dust extractor is first class.
After a year the catch holding the hose in broke, just a small bit of plastic costing less than a £.

As usual - great service from Rutlands. Tools arrived promptly adn excellent value for money.

Poor very poor customer service I ordered a sander end of Feb for delivery in middle of March they sent an email saying its been delayed again till the middle of April. I sent an email asking why and they have blamed the conflict with Iran is the issue and they will cancel my order. No apology or anything like that either I wait or cancel. Even tho the item is manufactured in China it wouldn't even be anywhere near Iran. Be aware if your looking at one of there items that's on a pre order I'd avoid and buy elsewhere.
