Started as a smoker and drinker

Started as a smoker and drinker, ended free and clear from both. RIA offered me the support on rehab level with the comfort of home. My coach was amazing. Offering tips of success and accountability during every session. The nurse care was also great. Any uncomfortable symptoms were addressed. All in all, grateful for the opportunity to have met this team. Glad I joined

Please do not trust Ria health

Please do not trust Ria health. They will “qualify” you through your insurance telling you that no matter what you will not have to pay more than $300/month. Then a couple months go by without receiving a bill, and this is the kicker which they do on purpose so that they can continue to overcharge you for services, then two days before your first bill is due they will hit you with a $864 bill. At which point you cannot contact customer service directly. You have to call and leave a voicemail and wait 2 business days for someone to contact you. Then once they get you on the phone they will inform you that you signed up for this service and will unknowingly be charged this amount every month but will only have to pay $300/month until the entire balance is paid off. I tried to fight it and decided to pay the balance off because I didn’t want my credit to be affected since I am trying to purchase my first home and they are STILL charging my credit card $300/month. DO NOT TRUST RIA HEALTH

We’re sorry to hear about your experience. Without access to your specific account details, we’re responding based only on what you shared.
From your mention of the $300 monthly amount, it sounds like you may have been enrolled in our high-deductible payment option. In those cases, the total amount owed is determined by the patient’s insurance provider based on their deductible — not by Ria Health. The $300/month is a structured payment plan to make that balance more manageable once insurance processes the claim and determines patient responsibility.
Insurance processing timelines vary and can sometimes result in balances appearing later than expected.
When billing questions arise, we review the account details and, if necessary, coordinate directly with the insurance provider to confirm how the claim was processed. That review can take a business day or two to ensure the information is accurate and that is why we ask you give us 2 business days to respond.
If you believe there has been an error, we would absolutely like to review your account and work with your insurance provider if needed. Please contact us so we can look into the details and make sure everything is resolved properly.

Untrustworthy and Not Transparent

Ria Health took my insurance information down and told me they accepted my insurance and it would be a $35 copay per session. The sessions were very quick and impersonal, I stopped making appointments as they were not helpful. Two months later I’ve been slapped with a $1200 bill with no insurance applied to it. DO NOT trust them. It’s worth it though go the long route and see a trustworthy, transparent doctor instead.

We’re sorry to hear this was your experience. Without knowing the specifics of your individual case, we can only respond based on what you’ve shared.

When insurance information is provided, we verify eligibility and benefits based on the information supplied by the insurance carrier at the time of enrollment. However, final coverage decisions and patient responsibility are determined by the insurer once claims are formally processed, and how services are applied (such as toward a deductible) depends on the terms of the patient’s individual plan.

Ria Health has supported thousands of patients nationwide, and we take billing transparency seriously. If your insurance was not applied as expected, we would absolutely like to review the claim details and work directly with your insurance provider to confirm how it was processed.

Please contact us so we can look into your account and ensure everything is accurate.

This is a money racket

This is a money racket. They qualify you through some unlicensed, impersonal call, where they essentially qualify you as a lead.

Imagine going to the doctor and the person at the check-in desk says you're not a fit and refuses service.

They ask for all your information, via paid ads, mind you, and then still make you jump through hoops.

Poorly executed program overall

Was excited to begin. Onboarding was a bit overwhelming but I though I could clear it up through my coach. 30 minute meetings were scheduled but was never on the phone for longer than 10. Advice given was juvenile. Coach was supposed to provide tasks on the portal but failed to do so. Medications do not work. PA promised to fill RX but failed to do so.

Oh, also was initially qualified with my insurance but after first month was told that I needed to self pay at a "discounted rate". My insurance must have gotten wind of the program and taken it off their approved vendor list.

Just say no to Ria.

Find somewhere else for support

When I called Ria health asking if they did ambulatory telehealth detox for mild alcohol withdrawal they said they did. It was a Friday, but the intake coordinator ensured me a nurse would call by EOD and discuss comfort meds to ease the symptoms. When the nurse called she said they don’t do any medication without seeing a doctor first, which wasn’t until Monday. So communication is lacking at best; when I cancelled by membership they emailed to confirm but also ensured me they would bill my insurance for any “services” rendered. No services were rendered and I plan to call my insurance and inform them of fraud waste and abuse if they attempt to bill for high amounts of money.

Medical Team Great, Coaching A Joke

The medical team is great. The coaching team is a joke. My coach was late to almost every appointment, except one. I canceled 9/29/25. I say this to have a record in case they continue to bill me. My 30 minute coaching i paid for ended up being half that many times. It got so annoying, I decided to quit. They have zero respect for your time. My coach was a complete joke and way under qualified. Late for almost every call, gave maybe a 5 minute advice and sent some links anyone could google. My fault for not confronting her to tell her to do her freaking job! Oh wait! It wasn’t! If I could have only dealt with the medical team, I might have stayed. Hundreds of dollars for so called “therapy’ by an under qualified coach and medicine I could have gotten from my doctor for cheap? No thank you! They also ask you to breathalyze twice a day with a device into the app. It doesn’t dictate when you have to as long as it is twice a day. Any serious drinker in denial could totally cheat their system and breathalyze before drinking.

I cancelled all the way back in May

I cancelled all the way back in May and haven’t spoken to any counselors since April. I called them in July as I was still getting billed and they confirmed I had cancelled with them and will no longer be billed. As of August 11th they are still trying to bill me. Don’t waste your time on this money shark masquerading as an outpatient treatment. You’ve been warned.

This experience has been terrible

This experience has been terrible. I would not recommend. The company does not follow up, does not reach out. For several months I had no contact. I did not use the services. I found them difficult to reach. Difficult to deal with. WIth terms of we left a text you didn't reply, or we emailed once. Yet, the number of emails I sent to discontinue service went unanswered.

As Sober As I Want To Be

I had a wonderful experience with Ria Health. My coach and I very much bonded. The level of support you receive sets you up for success. They are there to help you change your relationship with alcohol, not necessarily quit. They work with you and your goals. In my case I wanted to control my intake but still have the freedom to have the occasional drink without feeling like I had failed.

Not very helpful

While not useless, RIA health was really not that helpful. The good news is that there is hope. Keep searching for what works for you. I am coming up on 7 months sober and I feel great. Hang in there!

The Program Works!

Isaiah is easy to talk to, and he always responds with knowledge and compassion and without any hint of judgment. He and the entire RIA team have been incredibly helpful as I have worked to change my drinking habits and achieved 9 months alcohol-free.

If I could give a zero star I would

If I could give a zero star I would, this company states they use insurance and continues to bill me even though I canceled in July. They also claimed to take insurance and put me on a plan but my deductible was met in July too so I shouldn't be getting billed anything. This is a complete scam don't ever use them please seek other help.
