Zoe is worth her weight in gold
My son had only a few sessions with Zoe earlier this year, yet the impact she made has been nothing short of remarkable. Months later, he still uses the emotion chart she created with him to describe—and even draw—how he’s feeling. He still quotes her, remembers their conversations, and speaks so warmly about their brief time together. It’s rare for a child to hold onto therapeutic tools so naturally, and that alone speaks volumes about Zoe’s skill, care, and connection.
This evening, after an incident at school, I called Zoe out of pure desperation. Despite not having seen my son in months and having just finished a long workday, she still took the time to speak with me. She walked me through what happened with such calm, clarity, and compassion—helping me understand the natural consequences, how to support him, and how to move forward. Her knowledge of neurodiversity is incredible, but what truly sets her apart is the way she applies it: with humanity, respect, and a genuine understanding that my son is not just an “ADHD case,” but a unique child with his own way of being in the world.
As a parent, it means everything to be supported in helping my child through a positive, modern, strengths-based lens rather than the outdated negativity we’ve often encountered. Zoe not only understands this—she champions it. Her reassurance tonight gave me confidence that I’m doing the right thing for him, both now and in the days to come.
I only wish we could afford ongoing therapy with her, because Zoe has been the best influence our family has had. Her impact on my so, even in such a short time, is undeniable. She is truly wonderful, and she deserves every bit of recognition for the work she does and the heart she brings to it.
