Caring and Helpful PNB Staff

I received excellent service from Minakshi at PNB Wolverhampton branch because she sat up my internet banking account and helped me send money to India to help my family. She listened well, understood my needs and helped me straight away. All staff at this and Soho Road branch are helpful. When I visit the PNB branches, I feel I am visiting my familiar and helpful staff. They are polite, friendly and talk nicely. PNB has a good staff and customer relationship.

Worst Loan Experience Ever – Stay Away from PNB Housing Finance

If you value your peace of mind and hard-earned money, avoid PNB Housing Finance at all costs. They keep increasing interest rates whether RBI increases repo rate or not, but when repo rates drop, they never reduce the interest rate. It’s a one-way street designed only to squeeze more money from customers.

Closing the loan has been the most frustrating process of my life. We have been waiting for more than 3 months just to get it done, and every time they come up with some ridiculous excuse to delay it. In the meantime, they keep making you pay monthly EMIs for a loan you’re desperately trying to close.

This company’s policies and customer service are pure harassment. I will never recommend PNB Housing Finance to anyone

Not even deserving of one star

Not even deserving of one star. I am told most Indian banks have poor service but this takes the biscuit. My Father is too ill to go to India so he gave power of attorney to my Uncle. All the relevant paperwork was passed via the India Commissioner in the UK and yet this bank [ in this case Manish Garg] have been more awkward than normal. My uncle has presented all the paperwork they asked for and yet it seems not to suffice. We have e-mailed the bank asking what more is required but await a reply. My Father is unlikely to go back to India and wishes to clear his accounts to give money to the grandchildren. He is happy to pay any taxes that may be due but still PNB continue to delay. I have to say a couple of the other banks in the Punjab have been more amenable.

Updated review 6th April 2026: How anyone could rate the PNB in India beggars as 5* strikes me as being a false review. Eighteen months on from my previous post and I have to say that PNB: G T road branch in Phagwara and the branch manager : Mr Malhotra has a level of incompetence that surprise even me. My Uncle [ with POA] has sorted all other banks in the Punjab with only a little difficulty. This manager seems to treat my Father's money as if it is his own and continues to deny the transfer out of the bank. We have subscribed all necessary paperwork as requested but they still drag their feet. If you have any money in this branch then i recommend that you move it.
