very easy to process a reverse mortgage when your in a bind like i was with a sudden death of my son found mutual of omaha on line and gave it a try. got instant response. andrew hertwitz did an excellant job for me gave me piece of mind. andrew took care of all the paperwork with care and ease. i sent in all the required papers for processing and andrew took care of the rest his staff he works with did a tremendous job on my behalf.i am very satisfied with andrew and the reverse mortgage through mutual of omaha i would recommend mutual of omaha and andrew hertwitz and his staff to anyone that has an unexpected crisis in their life to go mutual of omaha and andrew hertwitz to help you so that you have a home to live in and if you end up in a financial crisis as i was.

Six months ago I was searching for the most effective way to financially continue living in my home.
I remember my mother researching reverse mortgages years before. She was very savvy when it came to investments etc. and eventually chose to begin the process for a reverse mortgage. Unfortunately she passed before it was completed.
I decided to take a leap of faith & research companies online.
The first response was from Mutual of Omaha . Since I knew this was a long standing company I made the call. Michael Heissenberger was my first contact. He was very thorough with the initial “whys” and “how’s”. By the time we finished our conversation I was sure this was the way to proceed.
Throughout this entire process Michael was there to walk me through each step. He was very professional yet very relatable —always available to address any questions & concerns .

Sandy was very patient and helpful over the course of a year that it took for us to decide to do this loan. She always responded to our calls or emails with questions right away. First loan I have done that was actually a pleasure.

Loan Officer, Brian Laursen was professional but kind. That is a huge thing for me. His management style is thorough and informative. He understands the area of the country where I live and understood what I needed to complete all the tasks for my reverse mortgage. I can only say my process was long because my financial situation was difficult and he and his team stayed the course with me until I closed.

Peter Tourigny was our senior loan officer that walked us through every step. He was patient & very clear answering all our questions. What impressed me the most is Peter was always available via our phone calls. Our Emails were always responded to promptly. We can’t thank Peter enough for his personal approach to explaining the Reversal Loan process.

Best deal, albeit after a bidding-down process with a rival company. With a rock-bottom margin reached and agreed, the process was easy and honest, aided by Kevin Perterson.

Unfortunately, outside of Omaha's own work: (1) The appraisal was unrealistically low, owing to an insistence on comps that were recent but not directly comparable--but I understand that I can cheaply update the appraisal in the event of truly similar sale in the future. (2) The notary failed to provide me with proper copies, providing me with neither the required Notice of Right to Cancel nor the Truth-in-Lending Closing Disclosure, among other omissions.

Wendy lee was fantastic and help my wife and I through each and every part of the process and was always available to answer questions. it was a real blessing to have her and know that I could trust in her to take care of any issues that I had or could have had she was amazing 🙌🙏😊
