Vonda, the Wicked Witch of Mountain House survival foods in Oregon

The "customer service" girl who answered the phone was extremely condescending as soon as she answered the phone. I was attempting to place a rather large order with her and I explained that the website was charging me for PA sales tax, when in fact the PA sales tax representative in PA informed me that they should not be charging sales tax, due to the fact that they are selling food that Mountain House's own preparation instructions tell the consumer to add hot water and stir a minimum of 3 times at different time intervals. This "girl" kept shouting over my explanation and insisted that their food was PA taxable. I tried to explain to her that our local Walmarts and Amazon does NOT charge sales tax on these exact same items, but she insisted that I was wrong and she was right. I suspect that they are charging PA tax and not submitting it to PA, but PA is going to look into that. The simple fact of the matter is that she was rude from the beginning, got belligerent and then hung up on me. I would advise EVERYONE to stay far away from this company as they are not interested in serving or retaining customers and in the end, you would be sincerely sorry. Take your hard earned money elsewhere to a company that values your patronage. Mountain House obviously does not and if they want to stay in business, they should get rid of "Vonda" immediately and get her a job shoveling manure, as that is what she is doing anyways.
