Mboni Adventures is a well organized tour operator. Communication with Jackson went smoothly. The actual tour was fantastic. We visited three with guide Joseph parks where saw all the big 5 and other animals. We had a good time in the nice lodges booked.

Leave zero doubt about how well you are going to be treated by MBONI. My buddy and I just did the Kili hike via Rongai and a four day safari. From the moment we started planning with them, the time we landed to the time we left, there was no detail missing and they were so meticulous, courteous and totally professional every step of the way. Your journey starts during the planning phase and we opted for tall tents, showers, private toilets, bed cots and for Jackson the owner....NO PROBLEM (a few other agencies said no way these can be done)! He was with us all the way in person and in whatsapp and it was almost like he never slept to ensure you had a fantastic trip. Not only did he pick us up, we had meals together, he drove us personally to Arusha from Moshi and then to the airport and was with us all the way. He even brought us personal medical attention for COVID tests. I also want to give a shout out to his team of Frank, Frank2, Atibu, Kent, John, Chila, Peter, Abuu, Tony, Jackson, Godbless, Issa, Ally, Juma, Gamaya, Shedrak, Bonfasi who were the best dream team to take us up the summit / safari. I cant say enough of these guys and my heart was left with them when we said our goodbyes. Its not about just the efficiency of the service, its also foremost about people....and leaving with a great feeling that you made not only friends but brothers too....GO MBONI!!!!

First of all, let me just start with a big "WOW". Mboni is an awesome group and the people amazing. Our experience started with Jackson (owner). From the first email to inquire about climbing Kilimanjaro, the professionalism and warmth was evident. From arriving at the airport, where we were met by Frank, it was evident that we were in very capable and knowledgeable hands. Our guides Omari (head guide) and Rashid (assistant guide) were of the highest caliber; skilled, professional, friendly and extremely supportive. I have to also make special mention of Albert (waiter), Abu (summit support) and the CHEF (the food that he was able to create is such remote conditions was spectacular - the cake he made after our successful summit blew us away). The equipment provided was great. The team were well equipped with blood oxygen metering and heart rate devices, oxygen bottle in need, etc. The safety precautions taken and the consent monitoring of our health (blood oxygen levels, heart rate) and the information and updates to prepare you for the following days adventure was really impressive and made one feel very safe. Our summit night was spectacular to say the least. Mboni made sure that our 16 year dream of summiting Kilimanjaro became a reality. The Mboni "family" are a very professional and friendly operation - I highly recommend using them if you wish tackle Kilimanjaro or experience a safari. My friends and I will remember this experience for life - THANK YOU Mboni Adventures.

My friends and I just came back from a wonderful 4 day safari to Tanzania with Mboni Adventures. We had an easy time booking with Mboni Adventures as Jackson was always at hand to assist and guide us in creating a wonderful itinerary that had the parks we wanted to visit and within our budget. Payment was also smooth via EFT which we did in 3 installments.
When we came to Tanzania arriving from our connecting in Dubai we found Jackson waiting for us with a placard with our names on it. He drove us to Planet Lodge in Arusha where we spent our first night. The following morning he came and introduced us to Joseph our driver/guide.
Joseph was better than good with more than 10 years experience of guiding tours in Tanzania. He is fluent in English and full of wonderful narrations.
The tour was lovely because we saw exceedingly many different animals including all the big 5. We also spent time visiting a Maasai Boma and a cultural village in Mto-wa-Mbu.
The lodges we selected were nice too; actually luxurious.
We had such an amazing time in Tanzania with Mboni and I recommend them and if you can get Jaoseph as your guide then you are sure to get an experience of a lifetime.

I climbed Mount Meru in February 2018. During my Meru climb, I met Jackson (Mboni founder). Jackson was not my guide for my Meru climb. However, I was taken aback by the way he treated his clients and any other climber who needed help. I didn't have time to climb mountain Kilimanjaro at that time but I promised myself I would return. I knew that with team Mboni, I could do it.

Fast forward to August 2018 and my excitement for my Kili climb was irresistible. I arrived at Kilimanjaro airport a bit past midnight; almost 4 hours later than scheduled, due to missed flights and changed itineraries. I was happy to find Jackson waiting for me at the airport to take me to the hotel. Worth mentioning- THE included breakfast at this hotel is very good with excellent choices. I had to make a note of this because eating is as enjoyable to me as climbing a beautiful mountain... :)

Jackson's carefully selected crew (porters, guides, cook) is exceptional. They are very friendly, dedicated to the clients' comfort, happy memories and most importantly, their SAFETY. Did I mention the food on the mountain??? Super delicious, abundant and skillfully selected so that the client's nutritional needs for the climb are met. Properly selected nutritional meals are one of the key elements for a successful climb as many clients tend to lose their appetite due to altitude. One more small but greatly appreciated detail, was to be awaken each morning with coffee or tea brought to me to enjoy as I got ready. This is a very nice touch especially if coffee or tea first thing in the morning is essential to putting a smile on your face.

Mboni prices are very reasonable.
Their professionalism and dedication to their clients' success are unlike any other. I would absolutely recommend Mboni to anyone looking for a safe, budget friendly, positive experience in TZ. If climbing a mountain is not your thing, no worries because there are plenty of other wonderful options you can choose from, beautiful park safaris, a trip to the beach, cultural experiences, etc. Simply browse their website and select something that fits your wants, needs and desires. I can honestly say, YOU will be happy you did.
