I had a serious issue with my eSIM after following incorrect instructions from customer service, which resulted in me losing access to my original number and being assigned a new one.
This situation was affecting important services linked to my number, so it was quite stressful.
Fortunately, Edmund from Lycamobile provided excellent support. He clearly understood the issue and handled it efficiently, helping me recover my original number. His assistance made a big difference and resolved the problem quickly.
Thank you, Edmund, for your professionalism and support.

⚠️ WARNING: Stay Away from Lyca Mobile Norway – A Company Built on Lies and Incompetence!
I am writing this to warn everyone: Never get Lyca Mobile. If you want a carrier that actually works, respects its customers, and keeps its promises, Lyca Mobile is the last place you should go.
1. Paid Services That Do Not Work
Despite having their XXL package and topping up my balance with extra credit specifically to call businesses in Sweden, the service is completely blocked. They take your money, but they do not deliver. They have placed a restriction on my card even though I have paid and have the legal right according to the contract to make these calls. This is nothing short of a scam.
2. A Customer Service That Lies to Your Face
For three consecutive days, I have been in contact with them regarding an urgent matter.
• Day 1: They promised the technical team would call me back. No one called.
• Day 2: They repeated the same lie. "We will solve it today." Still no contact. They completely ignored the fact that I was in an emergency situation.
• Day 3: After sitting in phone queues for a total of six hours, I finally reached a supervisor. He admitted that the customer service agents had been lying – they hadn't even escalated the case to the technicians!
3. Scandalous Treatment and Zero Professionalism
When I confronted the supervisor about the lies and the mishandling of my case, do you know what he did? He hung up on me. This is the "leadership" at Lyca Mobile. They are rude, aggressive, and completely lack basic social skills. They talk down to their customers and show zero willingness to compensate for their own massive failures.
4. Pure Manipulation
On a Friday, they told me it would take "24 hours" to get a response. When I asked if they were even open on Saturday, they said no. They are literally trying to trick me again by promising a resolution within a timeframe when they aren't even working.
Conclusion: Choose Another Operator!
Lyca Mobile Norway is not a serious company. They have no customer care, no technical competence, and no morals. They take your money and leave you stranded when you need them most.
Do yourself a favor: Throw away your Lyca SIM card and choose a provider that actually treats you like a human being and not just a target to be cheated out of money.

I recently cancelled my Lyca Mobile contract after what can only be described as a deeply frustrating experience trying to do something very simple: change my payment card.
Every time I tried to update my card details via the app or website, I was met with the message "auto-renewal process is in progress" — for days, with no explanation and no timeframe given anywhere on the platform.
I called customer services and was told I had an outstanding £5 balance that needed to be paid manually before the change could go through. This made no sense on a monthly rolling contract with automatic payments, but I paid it anyway. Nothing changed. A few days later my regular £5 payment came out as normal — so I'd paid twice, thanks to incorrect advice from their advisor.
I called again. A different advisor told me I just needed to wait two to three days and that no manual payment had been required. Completely contradicting what I'd been told before.
The result: I cancelled a contract I had no intention of cancelling. No consistent information from advisors, no guidance anywhere on the app or website about how long card changes take, and £5 out of pocket through no fault of my own.
Poor systems, poor communication, and poor customer service. Avoid.

If you are planning usual landline calls, such as hotels, travel agencies, and even your family doctor, avoid them at all costs. I have 12 months subscription. It began to be unable to call landlines in Norway. I even have top-up credit in my account to be able to call just in case. But it does not work. It says "number not in use" while the very same usual landline number can be called from another operator. I requested this to be solved from the customer service. But without luck. It has been almost 2 weeks since I experienced this.
UPDATE (23 Feb): It started working. I won't level up the stars. This caused at least two weeks of headaches. First of all, they always ask you for the numbers you are trying to call to fix. Throughout the process, some of these numbers worked while others did not. I always tried to communicate that this was not a number-specific problem. On the phone, one of the representatives acknowledged that that was a general problem that was going to be fixed. But through written communication, they kept asking for the numbers, at what time I called these numbers, where I called these numbers, etc.
I was specifically asked to be mentioned here by one of the representatives. I don't know if he wants to be mentioned in this review anymore, as I am not going to change my rating here. I believe that he has nothing to do with all these problems. However, he did not acknowledge in writing that the problem is a general problem, but not specific to my phone or any phone number I called. And I believe this is a company policy. His name is Ajwa Zufar. I can't say that he was helpful enough with this problem. All I can say is that he did his best.
UPDATE (17 Feb): Still not working. They are calling me to try again as if they solved the problem. Still not working. Still already working numbers are considered as "number is not in use".
UPDATE: You asked me to share my email address. I wrote to you at the email address in your response below. Please reply to my email to confirm you received it. I am waiting for this issue to get resolved.

HOLD UNNA Lyca.
STAY AWAY FROM Lyca. I have ordered a long-term package (12-month subscription) and Lyca was unable to transfer my number to Lyca from my old operator and it took about 3 months that I waited, but the transfer did not go through and the Lyca package I had on the Lyca number that was supposed to be transferred to my current mobile number that I never used. I was told by Lyca customer service that I had to pay my old operator since I am waiting for the transfer. After 3 months Lyca was unable to transfer the number to Lyca and finally I looked up the Lyca package and saw Lyca deducted 3 months from the year's subscription that I bought from them and sent 9 months to me. After sending many emails and talking to customer service there was no help. This was THEFT! stay away from the Lyca operator.

I had an issue with an eSim back in November so that it didn't work. After reaching out to the customer service, they promised me a refund in the next 5-7 days which I really appreciated (I got a written confirmation for that as well). However, because nothing happened after two weeks, I answered per mail again that I haven't received anything. No reply. I wrote another mail a month later with even more information. No reply again. Then yesterday I received answers for both mails, but it was the same content for both mails, not helpful at all (no reference to my issues) and probably also autogenerated. Therfore I called the customer service back in Austria and after I told them my issue they just hang up without helping. After I called a second time, they said I cannot get a refund somehow. Although I really appreciated that they promised me a refund, the process with the customer service was very unprofessional. So my experience with lycamobile was very dissapointing!!!

I was assisted by Edmond from Lyca Mobile and it was quick, informative, and very helpful!

While the customer service staff were polite and tried to assist, the real issue lies within the system. I have been struggling for 3.5 months to get a refund for a bundle that auto-renewed despite disabling auto-renewal and auto top-up 7 days prior. When I noticed the transaction, I called immediately and was told nothing could be done that day. The next day, I received a case number and was informed the case would process within 24–48 hours, and the refund should appear within 5–7 working days.
After waiting the full 5–7 business days, I called back and was told my case was escalated to “highest priority.” However, for the next month, every time I contacted the hotline, I received the same response with no progress. Because the window to request a refund through my credit card company closes after 1.5 months from the transaction, I had no choice but to involve them.
Since then, my phone number has been locked for the past 2 months, preventing me from accessing essential services like clinics. When I asked how to unlock my number, I was told to obtain a refund withdrawal letter from my credit card company. I refused because withdrawing my refund request would mean abandoning the only remaining option I have if Lyca Mobile does not follow through.
This experience has caused significant inconvenience, stress, and wasted time. A system that penalizes customers for seeking help and fails to resolve issues promptly needs urgent improvement. Clear refund policies, faster escalation processes, and better coordination between departments would go a long way toward restoring trust and ensuring customers do not face similar situations in the future.
