You DO NOT want to use Unraid if you expect it to be supported

This company is run by a group of people that behave as if they've done you a favor by releasing this product. I'm actually banned from their forum for refusing to stay quiet about some earlier issues, and will never return. So this evening I actually documented an issue with one of the applications in their "App Store" having incorrect documentation. No, that's not an opinion. It's actually a simple matter where the default username and password are incorrect. I posted it in their Reddit sub, and they simply deleted it saying it's not related to Unraid. So I posted the following, and they deleted it again. Unlike them I DO have integrity so I keep my promises.
************************************
The default u/p is documented as admin/pbspbs. but does not work.
But y'know, if I were to use another platform it probably wouldn't be an issue. But it IS an UNRAID issue, because I used the UNRAID STORE to install it. So yes, it is very much an Unraid issue, because I bought this thing for many reasons INCLUDING the little app store it has that is supposed to simplify installs.
But if that's not what it's meant to do, sure, I can copy and paste a thousand negative one star reviews just about everywhere telling folks how yes, some things work, but whenever you have an issue with anything that's part of their system and raise it in an open forum the folks behind it seem to get a little upset and delete posts calling them "unrelated" when they most certainly are. Because if I installed a docker to any generic docker host THAT documentation is correct. But here we are, them saying it's unrelated, but the Unraid specific docker remains in there store with the wrong username and password, even though they control the store.
Post copied and saved to a text doc should I need to reference it in a review later.

NO MORE LIME TECHNOLOGIES

We have been using Lime Technologies for years. In the beginning they were innovative and customer oriented. Not any more.
Due to GDPR we had to follow their recommendations. We have installed the program on our own server.
Now, when change our laptops or employ new people the refuse to give us a new user and new password. Last try took us 5 months and we even realised that their own employees destroyed our program. Luckily we had a back up and now it works. However, still no service and no willingness to assist with training.
Never ever again

It get's every minute more worse. Everything was working and a second later everything is destroyed. Never buy something here! I paid 60 Euro for a peace of shit.

What am I paying for

What am I paying for? This software is useless and their support even worse. They keep erasing my tickets and acting like they have no idea whats going on. I'm trying to get work done, but I can't as my data now lives in a server that I can't access over the network, what's the point?!?!

Too frequent updates not tested properly

Limetech make the Unraid file server operating system which is a good product. I costs real money to get it and you'd expect decent support but not so. They admit to relying on users to debug their new software and won't recommend tried and tested builds of hardware and software.

Upgrading is a lottery. You aren't warned about possible bugs and the forum isn't very forgiving having come through a long development period. What I mean is you need to provide debug logs etc. Not something most of us want or expect to have to do.

If this were for an item like a car (and it can be very much as necessary as for example the internet) you wouldn't accept their approach. Not value for money support when there are free products that have similar levels of support!

Decent but not for the faint hearted

Decent but not for the faint hearted

I initially bought from Lime Tech because Unraid looked like everything I could want for a NAS - docker, VMs and good data redundancy. I set it up fine and was happy for the first month or so, but then it came time to update to a new release that patched a few bugs. The upgrade itself was painless but I began to get a strange error - so I went onto the wiki to check, only to find that it appeared to be out of date, so the only way to get support was to go to the community forum - it was a little disappointing as you'd think after spending quite a bit of money on the OS that there would be some sort of support for it for like 90 days or something without having to go to a forum.

Other than that, the software is good and my NAS is chugging along nicely.
