We had a very disappointing experience with this agency and ultimately decided to move to another agent due to the poor communication and unprofessional approach we encountered.
We have been a landlord for over 20 years and have never experienced this level of pressure from an agency before. Throughout the process, we felt heavily pushed to accepting the first offer presented rather than being given the opportunity to properly consider our options as landlords. When we chose not to proceed immediately, there was then an increased push to reduce the rental price, despite the property not having been marketed for very long and despite us already receiving two offers. It felt as though they wanted to penalise us for not accepting the first offer straight away and were more interested in securing a quick let than properly marketing the property.
There were also delays getting the advert live in the first place, and even simple requests such as returning our keys by post were dismissed as something they had “no facilities” to do, which felt unhelpful and poorly organised.
Overall, the experience left us feeling pressured rather than supported, and it seriously damaged our confidence in the agency’s professionalism. As a result, we chose to instruct another agent instead.

Any other agency or option has to be better than these clowns.

Absolute shower of shite, avoid renting through these people, trying to retain a full £1000 deposit, using excuses i owe rent when i do not, trying to force me to pay the last months rent and then retain my full deposit by using wear and tear as a reason to withhold that deposit, windows and doors that have not been looked after by the landlord and blaming me for such, criminal, avoid like the plague, terrible agents

Got to give them 12/10. Absolutely brilliant. I signed off the photos and advertising at 10.30am.
At 11.45 I was informed there was to be a viewing at 4pm. At 5.20pm I was told that the asking price had been offered. It couldn’t have been any better.

Avoid Leaders Buckingham at all costs!
Make sure if you do choose to rent with leaders you have a lot of time on your hands to deal with the endless issues, even up to three months after you move out!
If you’re lucky enough to be given the same property manager as us, make sure you like hold music and empty promises of being called back…..even if that does mean your shower is not fully functioning for 3 weeks.
Upon leaving, you will get the luxury of paying for things that were already damaged when moving in, even when you have photographic evidence of this taken by leaders themselves! You will be given an opportunity to put your case forward on a ‘Secure’ portal which cannot be amended once saved. However your property manager will be to amend their end, being able to accept your counter offer (of £0 because why would you pay for something broken by a previous Tennant??) and then decide they want to send it to an adjudicator anyway - at an added cost to yourselves. So make sure you check the portal everyday and take screenshots of it because they will deny this happens.
If you’ve not lost the will to live by this point, Leaders will love to add to your stress even more! They will not answer any questions you have regarding claims , will not correspond with you unless it’s on the right portal (which remember they can amend after submitting and you cannot), will not provide invoices for the claims until months after you leave, and take the best part of 3 weeks to get back to you.
You will then get 24 hours to decide whether you pay the full claim (for things you didn’t break) or send the claim to an adjudicator where you get to pay an upfront fee of £120 and don’t know what ‘evidence’ they will be given as again, the portal can be amended by your property manager.
The customer service at Leaders is the worst I have ever seen. So if you want to save yourself months of stress, use one of the other, more professional estate agents!

Forcing potential tenants to use the non deposit option (NDO) but having to pay £60 a month for the privilege! When I said no thanks to the 1st hard sell, I get another call saying the landlord will only accept someone who uses the NDO so they're going to continue with viewings unless I change my mind! Mind blown, as if it's not hard enough to find an affordable rent you now have to deal with being scammed into extra costs. Absolutely disgusting Leaders! Buckingham branch stay away

Absolutely at a loss and disappointed now. After living in a. run down property for two years, I finally moved out 2 months ago and still can’t get my deposit back. Emails and calls don’t help. I assume as I was not part of their ‘insurance scheme’,so now they are actively trying to pin on me all the repairs that the new tenants are trying to make them fix. Needless to say, l will probably avoid dealing with them in the future.
P.S. Update after a week: nobody contacted me, more ghosting, and no money back!
