Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the durability of various products, noting that items like dog collars, tennis balls, and other toys broke or were destroyed very quickly, often within minutes or hours, even by puppies or dogs not known for aggressive chewing. People frequently found that the products did not live up to the advertised claims of being long-lasting or durable. A recurring issue for many was the difficulty in contacting the company for support or warranty claims, with reports of unresponsive customer service and non-functional email addresses. Some customers also experienced problems with product quality, such as squeakers failing quickly or toys posing potential safety hazards due to small parts detaching.

Did not last long at all

Disappointing quality and poor customer service. The toy lasted less than 10 minutes-$19 for under 10 minutes of use (about $2 per minute!). I reached out to KONG several times and received no response. Overpriced product with no customer support. Would not recommend.

We have many long lasting quality Kong toys for our 80lb golden retriever. We recently bought a Kong football. Within five minutes he had almost all of the fiber coating off the football. Unfortunately he ate most of the cover before I could get from him. Disappointed with quality unlike most of Kong products. DONT BUY THE FOOTBALL. RAY Page Raycyn2025@gmail,

I have always found Kong dog toys…

I have always found Kong dog toys extremely well made and good quality, however having purchased a canister of Kong easy treat for puppies which is used to seal the end of the classic Kong toy to hold treats in, I couldn’t believe how little use I had before it ran out, and having paid over £9.50 for it , I consider it a ridiculous price, and very disappointing.

Remove Kong Toys from all European Pet Stores

I bought a Kong Squeaker Turkey for my dog.
My dog got a parasite which required all her toys to be cleaned. All of the toys from other manufacturers cleaned fine.
The Kong ones BROKE and upon buying a replacement, there are NO CARE INSTRUCTIONS.
I contacted their support and have waited months, even after follow ups via the ticketing system...
What is going on with your European operations?

When calling the EU office in UK and speaking with Lena, she agreed with the idea of pulling all the Kong Products in Europe from the pet stores because of this.

Let's get all Kong Company products removed from European pet stores now.

I recently bought a frisbee to replace…

I recently bought a frisbee to replace a lost one. When it arrived I was disappointed to see it was not of the same quality. I emailed kong with photos and description. They got back to me and said they would pass my complaint to the technical department!!! Nearly 4 weeks later no reply. Had king toys for years but sadly I think there’s a bit of cost cutting on quality.
Will now look for another brand.

Zero customer service... Simply not interested

I bought a new toy for our 4 month old cocker poo puppy. U always believed Kong products to be strong and durable and this was in the ballistic range. It however lasted less than 2 weeks until I found my puppy choking on the filling as the stitching can come undone. She didn't even play with it much, I'd say 40 minutes in total.

My grievance isn't so much the fact it split, I suspect there was a fault. It is the fact that I contacted Kong on 2nd March and chased it up twice with no reply. I would have liked to think they would be interested in what went wrong and improved their quality control but clearly not.

Kong Company 38749824: Snuzzles Dog Toy, Bear MdKong Company 38749824: Snuzzles Dog Toy, Bear Md Plush·Animals

This is the third time I've ordered and received this type of toy (Kong Company 38749824: Snuzzles Dog Toy, Bear MdKong Company 38749824: Snuzzles Dog Toy, Bear Md
Plush·Animals). The first one lasted nearly a year and I might say this was her favorite toy. The squeaker out lasted the material. Last week I ordered a replacement. I gave it to her and the squeaker lasted about an hour. So I returned it and bought a replacement. It arrive yesterday and I gave it to my puppy. The squeaker in this one only lasted about an hour again. If you changed the sqeaker in this type of toy I might suggest it can not withstand any play and you need to go back to what was working. Oh by the way my dog is a morkie.

Not quality products anymore

Having been an advocate of kong dog toys I was extremely disappointed with the monkey pull toy.. it lasted all of 5 minutes the rope pulled out of the toy and was badly stitched in. Looks like the company isn't producing the same quality as it used to10 years ago ! Shame

I bought another toy hoping it was just the monkey toy but unfortunately this one lasted all.of 5 seconds.. really poor stitching.

Bought pack of three active squeeze balls. Fell apart in days and Kong won’t listen because I don’t have a receipt and therefore the balls might not be genuine. I suggested I sent them back for them to inspect and the reply I received if you’ve no receipt we can’t help. I’ve asked for this to be escalated to complaints and I’ll give them twenty working days. Then I’ll contact the ombudsman

Large Kong Dog Balls - Poor Quality

Large Kong Dog Balls - overpriced, ridiculously quick to stop squeaking and they fall apart within days. Our GSD loves them but at approx £9.00 for a pack of 2, I expect the squeakers to last more than 30 seconds to an hour max!

The Geodz balls withstand chewing for about a week, the squeaker breaks off inside within 30 seconds and they become misshapen within an hour or so, the Squeezz Tennis balls come apart within days, squeaker within an hour and we have just given him a Squeezz Action ball today, squeaker gave out in 2 mins.

We have tried all three types these over the past few months (until today with the Squeezz Action ball) as they are large enough for a big dog and don't pose a choking hazard but the quality is very poor on them.

The new toy I bought for our 17 week old border collie didn't even last a day , all other products used the interactive and food orientated play brilliant, as are the balls. The Squeezy toy are terrible badly stitched and literally effortless to destroy don't bye them their expensive and truly not worth the money . Totally ripped off twice now .

Awful quality, fell apart in minutes.

Bought 2 Kong dog toys for Christmas. No exaggeration, within 3 minutes of playing with each, the lining had ripped. Can't return online as I only have a credit card receipt from the store, not an itemised one.

Kong charge high prices for awful quality toys that burst open incredibly easily. I will NEVER buy a Kong toy again for as long as I live - I recommend you save yourself the trouble too. Disgusting, money-grabbing company taking full advantage of our love for our pets.

Rhino Kong

Brought a Kong Rhino for my miniature Dachshund for Christmas. He weights in at 5kg. After three weeks he has ripped the face off. I wrote to Kong to complain and today I received a reply asking for proof of purchase as without this nothing can be done.
Not sure who would keep a receipt for a dog toy unless it was some kind of electrical gadget. Surely photos provided of the damaged next to my tiny dog would suffice, showing that it is in fact not fit for purpose. Oh well that’s Kong off my dog shopping list. It’s not the money that bothers me it’s the principle. Shame on you Kong !! Maybe stop with the false advertising with triple the price tag of any normal dog toy.
Since this review Kong have replied still very unhelpful I do not recommend this company.

Very disappointed in the quality and durability of my latest purchase of a Kong Cruncheez for my 9yr old Westie. Within 2 hours the casing which housed some plastic beads was punctured which meant the toy was dangerous for my dog to continue to use.
I’d advise avoiding this product.
