First of all, may I say that I sincerely regret that you did not have a satisfactory time with us and that you consider that your experience was “NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE?” However, having thoroughly reviewed all the circumstances of your trip, I am afraid that I can find no justification for your complaints. First of all, let me address what happened since the time you booked the safari vacation with Kiliholidays. We had a conversation with Christina Cromlish over the internet regarding to their travel plan.
They only confirmed their travel with us 1 week before their arrival. We took the risk of booking and paying all accommodations and flight related with their itinerary. We asked for them to make the advance payment but they said we needed to confirm all is well paid before they make an advance payment. We took on this risk and we cleared the all related payments for accommodations and meals. We sent the entire itinerary and by that time they had decided to pay the deposit for the safari and the rest of the funds would be paid on on arrival in Tanzania. That is where we ended that part.
Cristina and her husband landed in the evening at Dar es Salaam (Julius Nyerere Inter. Airport). The next morning they caught the flight to Arusha. We had been chatting on WhatAspp with her, I decided to remind her regarding the balance that is due upon arrival, surprisingly they quoted 190$ less than the agreed price. I decided to call her, (We had a long conversation over the phone but we are surprise as all this is written over the e-mails conversation) so she decided to pay at last.
The accommodation we booked as per the agreement were not changed! They arrived at one of the accommodations in the Serengeti and found there were no other clients apart from them that night. This is not an unusual situation depending on the time of year. However, this is where they start to say they need to sleep in a place with other tourist. By this time we had paid for all the accommodation and meals and cannot get a refund. We had a conversation again with Christina via our driver-guide Godson. They demanded back all the money they paid for that night, and as the company owner, I decided to give them back some $ as goodwill gesture to help them enjoy their experience.
You have criticized our excellent driver-guide Godson. I know that he is not lazy and is not driving the vehicle with one hand while texting during the drive. Godson is a trusted employee of Kiliholidays and highly rated by all of our other clients. If you have time to read our other reviews, you will see how many times he is very highly praised by our customers.
We did not change anything apart of what we agreed. So we cannot accept this description. I am not sure quite what else we would expect to happen, but none of our other reviewers on Internet have expressed any dissatisfaction with the manner in which this process is handled.
Finally, I accept that you will not take another safari with us, given your comments, but I fear that if you take one with anyone else, you will be equally dissatisfied. That is regrettable, as a safari should be a great experience. Having reviewed our performance with respect to your trip, I have been unable to identify any way, whatsoever, in which we have failed you.
