I implore any suppliers approached by…Avoid like the Plague

I implore any suppliers approached by this company to simply walk away . Over the last three years they have left over 150 suppliers being owed hundreds of thousands of pounds. They are dishonest and completely unprofessional being paid by their clients and not paying the suppliers they get to do the actual work .

Charged £236.88 - unqualified plumber.

I was charged £236.88 for a failed attempt at a repair of my heating by Homyze through my letting agent. The report of the fault was written in incorrect wording that was not clear to two other qualified plumbers. The report stated that an electrician was required to attend the property to resolve the issue, however, the level of electrical competency is covered in essential plumber qualifications. Ultimately the repair was completed by another (not Homyze) plumber, NOT an electrician as suggested by the Homyze attendant.

Homyze is first-rate and professional.

Homyze is a first-rate, top-notch, upmarket firm. I have used the same gardener eight times in the last two years. She even sourced the plants I requested! If you want a garden job undertaken professionally, promptly and efficiently, HOMYZE is the company for you!

They used to be great

I used them about a year ago and the guy was at my flat for about 5 mins. I paid the full hour which was fine but homyze charged me for 5 squirts of WD40 (I had a can in the cupboard). When I questioned this, I was put through to a manager whose service skills were Worse than the first level support (which was v good) and only served to wind me up. He said he’d escalate and get back to me but never did. They used to be excellent, the service and quality of tradespeople was the best. Now, they’re just like everyone else.

The company were inefficient

The company were inefficient, expensive and failed to cure the problem I called them for, despite multiple visits over more than a month. Not only did they fail to do the job, they also had a good old go at strongarming me into doing another fantastically expensive unconnected job as a condition of solving the problem. Other people have mentioned Mike, who was, by turns, passive-aggressive, argumentative, rude, defensive and unhelpful. The whole thing was an unnecessarily time-consuming and expensive experience for precisely zero satisfactory outcome. Frustrating and distressing. Don't pay any attention to the self-justificatory reply which may well follow this - at least they acknowledged the problem when I complained to senior staff. They gave me some money back in recognition of this but not all of it. Avoid them.

When we left the property on those first two occasions, the heating was working and we did not want to recommend larger works unless this was absolutely necessary. We did note that the boiler was old but still did attempt to solve the problem with minimal intervention. Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service, very disappointing.
I scheduled the service with Homyze trough Amazon Home services and they failed to come and perform the agreed service not one but twice.
The Homyze customer service literally just passed about this issue and this finished when they cancelled the second schedule service half an hour before it should have started.
Don't ever trust this company as they can make you loose your time and money without a blink.
If you are in contact with a guy from the customer service named Mike, just don't trust him. He said various times I shouldn't be worried or even "Our policy is that we won't work with guys that we wouldn't leave in our own home so I have every confidence that Richard will leave you happy with the service provided. In addition to this (and hopefully this is the only time we discuss this point!) both Richard and Homyze have public liability insurance to cover any issues that may arise"... and finally they didn't come up to my house the day agreed and they cancelled the service half and hour before without prior notice.
This happened the second time they said they will provide me with the service.
The first time, they didn't advise me neither and it was me pushing them to re-schedule for this second one.
Very bad.

this is the 4th time I've used Homyze…

this is the 4th time I've used Homyze (great gardening with Marcos and electric services with Manu too) and I can not both thank them and recommend them more highly! We required installation of floating shelves that had been done previously & subsequently fallen off the wall by a previous company. Our Homyze professional (Ifthaker Hussein) was fantastic! Incredibly fast but efficient and ensured I was kept abreast of everything being done and that I was satisfied with the job. He even re-supported existing shelves just to make sure of no more accidents.
A true professional and a wonderful person.
Thank you! Such peace of mind to know there's a company you can actually trust to get things to done correctly.

Our plumber was fantastic and Millie on the phone deserves 100 stars.

Disappointing gardener

Very disappointing experience with a gardener who after arriving on time went off to park his van in an appropriate space, then got changed. spent most of the time going back and forth to his van bringing in equipment one at a time, stood around taking photos, this was all before any actually work had began and was well into 30mins after arriving. Once the work began progress was extremely slow, as trips to the van and photo's continued. After cutting down an old butterfly bush stump which took 10mins more photos were taken. A few weeds were sprayed then more standing around. I would advise Homyze to vet their gardeners more carefully as certain jobs can be easily exploited. I would also suggest that changing clothes and bringing in equipment not be included in the price. I had to get another gardener to finish the job, who did so in a professional and thorough manner and in good time. I felt ripped off by Homyze and the gardener and felt force to pay even though I knew the gardener did less than 30mins work.
