Subscribed for the full year of birth control and then it never shipped and they made me fill out another form and then disappeared.
Awful service. Suddenly doesn't take my insurance. So then I bought a year's worth of birth control they made me fill out the questionnaire again and never shipped the birth control out and hasn't con... See more

Definitely would not recommend...
For starters, this club has horrible customer service. I sent two questions in one day with no response to either, even though they were completely during customer service hours. First month of pills arrived on time, second month was not even shipped until 3 days before my next pack was supposed to start. Then the pack got lost in the mail (I understand this is not Pill Club's fault directly, but they already sent it late, so regardless I would have been thrown off cycle...) I informed them of this, then they sent me a message stating that my next pack would be sent in the middle of June, completely skipping an entire month. So wrong. This was my first experience with birth control, and my cycle is all out of sorts now with skipping and being late.
When I informed them I was cancelling the service, they offered no ways that they could have fixed the experience or help the confusion. Overall, 1/10. Chose Pill Club for the pretty allure of packaging and goodies, but it was not worth it.

They were late on sending me my pills 2 months in a row and threw off my cycle. I stayed on top of them and contacted them weekly. The last month never even got shipped. They told me they could transfer it to my local pharmacy and then never got back to me. The company doesn’t seem to understand the importance of timing which is crazy for a medication that is so time sensitive. I recommend just going to your regular GYN and stay far away from the company.

I am writing to request a refund of $32 for something I did not authorize. I chose pill club because Nurx raised their prices. Pill club took a while to process and for me to receive my pills; which threw my cycles off. I was still wiling to give it a chance.
A few months later I see a charge for tampons that I apparently got a sample in my first and only order. My main issue with this is I never received any email or text, notification that the tampons would be processing, shipping, or on their way.
For any other product that is on subscription, you usually get an email saying ‘hey your order is about to ship… or it’s on its way’. The only response I got from them said there’s no way to cancel or refund this because it left their warehouse. Um, so you can’t verify that the customer still wanted the product or didn’t want to change it before something leaves your warehouse. It seems like the company is looking to trap customers.
Again, there was no email or anything. The only response I get from their lengthy and rude customer service is that it already left, and they can’t do anything. This is interesting because if the address was changed or order was wrong, I wonder what would the answer be.
Their customer service takes forever and they’re unhelpful. As I’m writing this, I see I received yet another spam email from them, but NO emails about this subscription.
Also, I’ve never experienced such rude and curt customer service; especially over text. They have been unprofessional and rude. And come to think of it, I’m a new customer. So this is really how you treat new customers?
Again, I want to request the refund of $32. If not, I’ll have to evaluate other options. I would like you to contact me, because it seems your methods are delayed and unresponsive.

I wasn't offered a telehealth at all. Instead, I received a text message saying I had been prescribed a specific birth control and that a claim had been filed with my insurance. I wasn't offered the opportunity to discuss different options, possible side effects, or specifics of the birth control prescribed. I wasn't even asked if I was okay with the "recommended" birth control. It was just charged to my insurance automatically and without my consent or knowledge.
I tried messaging the customer service number multiple times without response. Finally, I called and cancelled my account to stop them from sending me an unwanted medication. What kind of shady service is this? NOT RECOMMENDED for anyone who actually cares about being informed and in control of what they put into their bodies.

It's practically impossible to get ahold of customer service. When they finally reached out to me they actually DENIED me service due to my history of depression. I feel totally discriminated against. Ended up going with a different service instead.

They never showed up to my video conference and then tried to charge me $15 for consultation. I replied stop... they replied again I replied STOP Unsubscribe etc etc.... they STILL TEXTED BACK. like seriously you lost a customer that is how you get bad reviews when you aren't willing to provide good customer service and you don't listen/follow normal unsubscibe policies. Seeing they only have 2 stars here and let alone I cannot find a way to review them on Google even though they list hundreds of 5 Star Google reviews on their site. Google review should pop right up. Disgusting.

Edit: I'm lowering my rating to one star due to the Pill Club's response here. I called last week, and (after a long wait) they agreed to mail my rx and an itemized receipt to me, which my insurance company needs to authorize funds for the proper meds. They haven't shipped out, and they've ignored my requests for an update. They still have not responded to my private messages from last week or my follow-up messages yesterday via both text and their contact form, but they have responded to my public reviews. In the meantime, I am without my birth control unless my insurance decides to take pity on me.
Original review:
The Pill Club sent a generic instead of the Zovia 1/35 I have been on for years. Unfortunately, the generic caused spotting and sever cramps. When I messaged the pharmacist, it took days for them to respond that they would try to send me the correct prescription the following year if they have it in stock.
Since I don't want to spend a year on birth control that doesn't work for me, I called my insurance to ask about authorizing the correct meds. They told me that the Pill Club would need to let them know that generics weren't working for me and request authorization for funds to be released for a new prescription. The Pill Club refused! They told me they could send Zovia 1/35, but I would need to pay out of pocket.
My insurance recommended that I get a copy of my prescription for Zovia 1/25, then have my primary care doctor could make the request. When I asked for my rx, they just responded "Have a beautiful day." I'm pretty sure my insurance won't accept a beautiful day as a valid prescription...
I thought trying telehealth would be a good way to avoid the doctor's office during the pandemic. I have been on the same birth control for years, and all they had to do was send me the exact same thing. When they repeatedly asked to switch me, I told them to just send me the brand that I know works.
I would absolutely not recommend this service. It's not their fault that my body reacted poorly to the generic, but it is absolutely their fault that they refused to work with me as medical professionals to get me a brand that is effective without very painful side effects.

STOLE MY INSURANCE MONEY! My birth control is 2 weeks late, the only response I got at first from customer service was to call USPS and figure out where my delivery was. EXCUSE me?!?! I did, waited 2 hours on the line, USPS wouldn't say anything except where my package was located (a neighboring state). Second time I call them is the day I am supposed to start the new pack that's late. The solution that the manager offers me?? a) go to a pharmacy and buy birth control out of pocket (while pill club is enjoying my insurance money!!!!!) b) Claim lost package and try to resend a new one & get my insurance to cover it, but no guarantees - the manager then says "Oh it might not work, in which case we'll send you a quote and you'll pay out of pocket. Also, we can't ship overnight, we can only do USPS priority mail." WHAT!?!? Any normal company would first of all offer to cover 100% of cost (no matter if my insurance approves or not, they messed up), second - would run to UPS/FedEx and send my pills with overnight shipping. Now I have to pause birth control, lose my insurance birth control money for this month to them, and do this harm to my body of going on and off birth control.
You're the worst company I've ever encountered. I hope you go out of business, or that my hubby and I are able to figure out a way to sue your butt for stealing, lying, and endangering women's health. You're the opposite of the "female empowering, progressive" image that you put on social media - you're a money hungry parasite!!!!
It's only my second delivery with them so I can't imagine how bad it is for people who stay with this service for years.

ZERO STARTS COMPLETELY A SCAM
I don’t have a lot of money so when I got the year supple it was supposed to be for an entire year. IT NEVER CAME(TOOK MY MONEY). I got a text message saying because I didn’t separate the A 109 I put it in as A109 they sent it back and said I have to pay full price to get an actual year supply. I JUST SPENT 115 ON THIS. So I sucked it up and changed my address and PAID ANOTHER 35 for a 3 month supply. THAT NEVER CAME EITHER. IVE CALLED AND TRIED TO GET ANY OF MY MINEY BACK AND THEY WONT DO IT.

DO NOT USE!!!! My medication showed up extremely late.. about three weeks. It was not in the time frame I was promised. I also had an allergic reaction to the medication and my messages were answered for multiple days by the nursing staff. I am not being refunded for the medication and now I have to dispute this transaction with my cc company. I am unemployed..do not have money to throw around... and I am unable to use the multiple packs of medication they gave me. A waste of money... time and energy with this company. They did not even offer to send a different type of medication. What a horrible company and over all experience.

Used the pill club for about a year with no problems until Dec 2019 I ran out of birth control before my scheduled shipment. I emailed and sent text messages every single day for two weeks trying to get my shipment bumped up so I wouldn’t be without it, but I never got a response. Jan 2021 rolls around and I decide to give them another chance. They charge the $15 fee and I wait for a nurse to contact me but it never happens. Instead, I get an $89 charge to my card for birth control even though it’s 100% covered by my health insurance. I contact them multiple times and again it takes over a week to get a response. When they finally do reach me they say apparently they no longer accept my health care and refuse to refund the $15. I understand that I have to pay for consultation, but given the circumstances I believe I deserve a refund. I never got any assistance and the “nurse practitioner” that helped me never informed me that they don’t even accept my insurance. Stay far away from this company, it’s overpriced and the customer service is extremely rude. I even had one of their reps tell me off for having more than one account when I didn’t. It’s not worth the “extras” they put in the package. It’s all junk to make their bad service look pretty.

I was using thepillclub for 8 months before I got dropped for having bad symptoms. I was using a certain type of birth control before they started sending me generics of it. I asked to change because the birth control wasn’t working and they stopped sending me birth control all together. I had to go visit a ob/gyn in person during the middle of the pandemic to get the birth control I want e-prescribed to thepillclub. After all this, they still shipped me the birth control I had issues with. Seriously do better. I have called and emailed, customer service says they will send a request to the pharmacy and nothing happens.

Was going to switch to this instead of nurx because I thought the little goodies were cute and fun, who doesn’t love goodies, but one single month is as much as I pay for 3 months with nurx. I use nurx and pay around 25 bucks for 3 months. That’s insane. If you’re looking for a birth control service i recommend nurx, ive been using them for over a year now and they’re cheap, you don’t get goodies but you can buy yourself goodies you know you’ll like.

They took SO LONG to respond and never resolved my issue. They ended up dropping me and leaving me without my birth control refill for the month without much explanation at all or anyone even trying to reach out to resolve whatever issue there was with my prescription. TERRIBLE customer service.

Worst online Pill service EVER! My daughter and I both got sucked in because of their super low starting prices but that didn't last long. They have raised the price EVERY 3 months (I'm on the 3 month plan). They raise the price by $10 each time so I was paying $20 for 3 packs and now I'm paying $45. They raise the prices with no warning or explanation. I just get charged and that's that. I've texted the costumer service number asking for an explanation and asking to please be told BEFORE the charge but no one ever responded.
This last week I asked them to please delay my charge date until Friday 7/17/20. Via text they agreed immediately and since I had someone actually responding I asked abut the price increases and instead of explaining she offered me a generic version for $10 less. But the last time I paid the highest price to date they sent me generic pills! Which means I paid more for the generic than I did or the actual brand. But whatever, I gt them to agree in writing via text to not only charge me $30 from now on but to also warn me if the price goes up and she agreed to delay payment until 7/17/20. Well it's 7/16/20 and I just got charged $45!!! I'm sooooooo DONE with Pill Club. My daughter and I are canceling our memberships today and going elsewhere. Don't be fooled by the low starting price.
On top of this my daughter receives her pills late every time! She usually has to go a week between packs with no pills and PC always has to overnight her pills. This has been going on for a YEAR and they still haven't fixed it.

Don’t buy from this company. They’re incredibly unprofessional. I had multiple issues with shipping pre-COVID because they always shipped it late, and this time I’m over a week without my birth control. I expressed concern on their Instagram and instead of offering assistance they continue to delete my comments. SO disappointing. Worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. They just do not care and want to look perfect but they are far from it

I really wanted this to work but unfortunately the customer service at Pill Club makes it completely not worth trying this for another month. The text message responses they send (when they send them at all) come across as flippant and uncaring. I have never received a text from them that didn't make me feel uncomfortable or like I was bothering them. As someone who manages CS for a different D2C brand, it's very clear that there are foundational problems with their team. There is no effort to help when a problem arises. I'll be moving over to their competition ASAP.

I would put 0 stars if I could. This company has awful customer service. They texted me on the 13 that I was due for a refill then texted me a week later that they would no longer provide it to me. They waited a whole week so I had less time to figure out how I was going to get it.Then when I finally find a company to transfer it to the company reached out to pill club 3 different times throughout the week To transfer it and pill club never responded. I had to call pill club and chew them out to transfer it and they had no excuse for why they hadn’t done it. I almost missed getting my birth control because of them and had unnecessary stress I had to deal with.

Before joining The Pill Club, I was paying $25/month for birth control even with good health insurance. I decided to join the pill club out of curiosity to see if they could offer me anything cheaper and I’m now getting a better birth control totally for free! On top of that, I love that they send a super cute package with stickers and chocolate inside.
