My funding needs sit outside conventional loans, so I found Griffin on social media. The team was excellent, especially Liz. She coordinated every moving part and kept things on track through closing.... See more

Griffin Funding is a national direct mortgage lender based in San Diego, California. We underwrite in house, so we make the credit decision ourselves rather than passing your file to a third party.
We specialize in borrowers whose income does not fit a standard W-2 box: self-employed business owners, real estate investors, and veterans. The online application takes about 10 minutes, and files move in days rather than weeks. Since 2013 we have funded more than $3.6 billion to over 8,000 clients.

Very easy to work with loan officer he was amazing, when a problem came up he helped to take care of it. Thank you
The agent I was working with mislead me about the availability of a construction loan option. When I went to follow up after the months of payments I was told they had left the organization and no assistance was available to service my loan. Frustrating.
Walked thru every step of process. Funded loan based on assets provided. Friendly reps who responded to all questions/concerns.
Overall great first experience. Quick close with competent staff!!! Thank you look forward to the next close

From the first conversation I had with Justin he was very professional. He answered all my questions without hesitation. His overview of how the process would go once we found a house was very helpful.
Once we found a home he and Shell always keep me informed, always let me know in a timely fashion what items they needed from me.
Without hesitation I would highly recommend Justin to anyone needing a mortgage.

Joe Yaeger is a great loan officer. Been working with him for years and use him exclusively and refer everyone to him! If you want a great experience, try him out.

I had a great experience with a loan officer whose last name was Thomas when I applied for my loan. The loan process went smoothly, without any hiccups, because he was consistently available and always answered my calls. However, Thomas has since left the company, so I’m not sure whether the excellent service he provided reflected his personal professionalism or the company’s overall culture.

Liz Singer was so patient with me, I told her that my computer skills were that of a toddler and she did “ baby sitting a toddler “ big time. I was able to do my paperwork because of her. Andre was precise and clear and kept me focused. Thank you!

The loan officer made too many promises that he couldn’t follow through on. Spoke before actually have concrete answers which causes many issues and unforeseen circumstances. We will be using another company in the future.

Bad communication . Long delays for email replys . Lost 10s of thousands dollars because of delays . This was 4th deal with company. First one great . 2nd one good small lack of communication but ok . 3rd one a nightmare. 4th one didnt happen.

Worst mortgage experience I have ever had (among many)! Terms were constantly eroding and with delays, it forced decisions we wouldn't have typically made. definitely didn't feel like they were looking out for my interests. Incredibly disappointing, we ended up walking away from a second deal because it no longer made financial sense.
