Misleading refund policy
Misleading refund policy. The Fluently app advertises a 30-day refund policy, which was a key reason I felt comfortable subscribing. When I requested a refund well within that window, I was bounced back and forth: Google Play declined the refund and told me to contact the developer, while the developer replied that they cannot process refunds for Google Play purchases and that it must go through Google.
The result is that the 30-day refund policy displayed inside the app is effectively meaningless for users who subscribe through Google Play. If Fluently wants to advertise this guarantee, they should either honor it directly or be transparent that it only applies to subscriptions made through their website.

This is the same distinction we aim to communicate consistently across all customer touchpoints, including our website, the app, the Help Center, support replies, and our public review responses. Clear communication on billing and refunds is extremely important to us.
If you saw any wording inside the product or in our materials that could reasonably suggest that the website refund guarantee also applies to Google Play subscriptions, we would be very grateful if you shared that specific example with us. We would review it as a priority, because if any part of our messaging is ambiguous, we want to correct it quickly.
