Difficult to contact customer support, good when you do reach them
Most of the cars are a bit dirty. Overall, the trips have generally been easy but if anything goes wrong which it did today, the support is not good. The chatbot doesn't recognize simple common words like contact number, or speak to a human. So doesn't provide you the contact number which is difficult to find elsewhere in their app. It also doesn't tell you the working hours so you have to call the number to find out rather than just posting all this info in the app. Overall, information in the app about issues/support and contacting them is convoluted. Their error messaging if you can't end a trip simply says 'something went wrong' which is unhelpful if you need to figure it out yourself because the customer service is not 24/7 which should be a must for a service like this. Just overall frustrating and disappointing experience with the car, the lack of support, and the disorganized information in the app.
Update the following morning: once I was able to get a hold of customer service, they helped me very quickly and ensured I was charged the right amount. Overall not the best experience but definitely ended on a better note.

Good service and quite competitive offer. The only minus was a 30% supplement due to our delay of 21h (less than 10%). I find this disproportionate.
Had a terrible expereince renting a car at Lyon Airport
Had a terrible expereince renting a car at Lyon airport. I booked well in advance via Discover Cars. Paid for a car with a babyseat. Me my wife and baby spent an hour of trying to find the right place where the bus would come to pick us up to take us to the rental place. Email in French to us weren't clear. After a lot of calls to the number on the email, we eventually got taken out of the aiport, about 10 mins, to the rental place, which wasn't Free2move but another company called Alyse Parc Auto. Thay had no knowledge from Free2Move of a baby seat requested. I had to ask them to take us all back to the aiport to Sixt rental to get a car there instead, which they did. After I tried to complain to Free2Move no one got back to me on the email. They don't care. Don't hire a car with Free2Move.
We collected the vehicle, but free2move claims we didn’t
We hired a car in Munich for three days. We picked up the car from the SIXT branch and returned it to the same branch. Everything went smoothly. EXCEPT that on the day we collected the car, we were charged € 39.99 for failing to collect it !
We phoned on the day of the unauthorised charge, wrote to them, and explained that we couldn’t possibly have been a ‘no-show’ when we’d picked up the car on the right day at the right place, but to no avail. Here is free2move’s response:

I am sorry for the inconvenience that occurred.
This fee is charged if the pre-booked vehicle is ultimately not rented. You are informed of this fee by email, both in your booking confirmation and one day before the vehicle is delivered.
This fee will also be charged if the cancellation is made 3 hours before the desired start time. This information is also included in the emails.
We apologize if this fee came as a surprise to you. Once you book a vehicle with us, it is reserved for you and cannot be rented by anyone else, so we are unable to refund the fee.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

We have all the evidence to show that the vehicle was collected; the facts are clear, but Free2Move is ignoring them completely. It’s really annoying.
So we paid for the hire (as expected) AND the penalty for failing to collect it

The drop of and pick up service was very good and the operative was very friendly and attentive. The only reason I gave 3 stars and not 5 was that the advert stresses no added extras and yet we had to pay the £8.00 parking fee on drop off and pick up, which was unexpected.

Everything went very well, as planned:
- I receive a call before I delivered the car to the vallet service, as I was delayed a bit vs. the time I introduced when I did the booking
- they took 15m to arrive in the agreed place
- when I landed, I called saying I was ready and they took 20m to arrive with the car
