I got married on 6/28/25 in Branford, CT. I needed one bus to do one shuttle at 10PM and 11PM at the end of the night. I went over this order meticulously several times because I had several changes to the orders throughout the process. I booked with ample time before the date. The call center customer service agents were always pleasant, helpful, and kind, they seemed to really care about the fact I was getting married and was celebratory of this event. However, come the day of and unbeknownst to me (my guests definitely didn't want to stress me out on my wedding day) the shuttle at 10PM did not come which left a bunch of guests having to Uber home, which is the opposite to what I paid for... especially since Ubers are not too common from Branford, CT. When I called the call center to rectify the problem-- it was near the 4th weekend. They did inform me it might be a little bit until I was able to get the case resolved. I had to follow up several times and it took nearly 2 weeks to get this issue fixed. They did in full transparency offer me a small refund which seemed fair, but overall for the amount of money I paid for this service, the amount of times I called to confirm make sure it was okay and hope that it would work out. It was disappointing that the service didn't go as planned. I think transportation is one of those things that you REALLY worry about because it is one thing you can't keep your eye on as a bride since it is out of your control. Now, the bus driver did get everyone to the venue on time and picked everyone up (those that were left) at 11PM and he was nice and polite (especially since wedding shuttles I'm sure are never easy/fun), but that additional shuttle being missed when it was on the trip confirmation was disappointing and it's important that others are aware of the issues before booking.

First Charter made everything smooth from the beginning — the reps at the call center documented exactly what we wanted, and were helpful when we decided to add an additional trip a few weeks before our event. 5 stars!

The bus driver was kind and the ride was smooth. The shuttle left the hotel early so guests ended up arriving at the venue before we were ready for them. Then she was late picking us up from the venue. Otherwise good experience.

I booked with First Charter for transportation at the end of my wedding. I wanted to provide guests with a safe way to get to the hotel after our wedding reception. First Charter was great at first. They confirmed my trip immediately in May of 2024. I called a few weeks before my wedding to confirm again and was told we were all set. Five days before my wedding, I was charged in full for my booking. I called again two days prior to my wedding to confirm the date and pickup time one last time just to make myself feel better.

The night of my wedding, as the night came to a close, I realized the bus should already be at the venue to pick us up. I called the contact number First Charter had given me for the New Haven, CT branch that would be handing my booking. A woman answered the phone and told me that she had no idea what I was talking about- there was no bus scheduled to pick anyone up that night. When I pushed back and told her I had already paid and had confirmed my booking several times, she said that my booking was not until the following day. As I read her off my email confirmation with the correct date and time, she hung up in my face. When I called back, she told me that she had to hang up on me to call someone else and then she hung up again. I waited ten minutes to give her time to contact someone to resolve the problem and then I called again. She declined all of my calls for the rest of the night and never called me back. I called all four numbers First Charter gave me to use the day of my booking with no luck. My guests and I ended up having to call Ubers after waiting over an hour to see if First Charter would resolve this. No bus ever came. No one ever called me that night. No apology was ever given before I was hung up on two separate times.

The following morning, I replied to my confirmation email from First Charter explaining what happened and that I expected this to be rectified. I received a phone call from Veronica at First Charter the following day. She was very apologetic and gave me a full refund.

While Veronica was very nice and helped make me feel somewhat better about what happened, I have to give my overall experience with First Charter 1 star.

I still have not been contacted by the New Haven, CT branch explaining why we were never picked up or why I was treated so poorly by their employee when I called to see when was going on.

I highly recommend using another bus company for your transportation needs so that you can help to ensure that you are actually picked up and that you and your guests are treated with decency by all employees.

We hired First Charter Bus Rental to taxi wedding guests to and from hotels to the wedding venue. The buses worked great to get everyone to the wedding venue on time. The pick up back to the hotels was a disaster. Buses were on site but no drivers to be found. I don't understand how that could even happen. Many of my guests wound up having to call for their own Ubers. This is not the experience i wanted my guests to have. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR WEDDINGS.

The bus did not show up to pick up guests for my event. We tried speaking with someone and were given the run around. Still waiting to speak with a manager and get a full refund as I was advised I would get.

Can't beat it! Our driver was right on time and worked with us to make sure our guests got to and from the venue safely. Even after I ran through the bus quickly to see if anyone left anything, a guest let me know they left a wallet on there. The driver called me back to let me know she found it and dropped it off for us on her way home. Excellent driver and service, would recommend for anyone to use!

The ride going on 8/7/21 was pretty decent, the driver helped with our bags but i believe he got lost because it took us longer to get to the airport so we had to rush but overall he was good.
The ride coming back on 8/12/21 the driver was good getting us back but did not offer to help with our bags.
Overall good price.

Our bus driver was great, on time, and had no issues for our wedding!
