A few of the documentaries surprised me in a good way. They weren’t what I expected, but that’s kind of why I liked them.

Big scam

Big scam. Pop ups appear when you sign up to active a gift card which automatically signs you up to a free trail for a day. It then takes a payment within 24 hours for a monthly subscription even though you do not have an account set up to access whatever content they offer. I have blocked my card to prevent them taking anything.

Very misleading!

Very misleading! Ended up to subscribing to this while trying to do something else, virtually all pop ups. Emailed to cancel immediately received ticket number to say someone would be in touch within 24 hours. Took 6 days for someone to acknowledge. Email i received to say it had finally been cancelled also had explanation of how I "supposedly" subscribed. Rubbish! I didn't have any email confirming I had a pop up message notification and there was certainly no cancellation button attached to it. I'm still going to put a stop on with my bank just to make sure there are no more payments taken out.

The company signed me up when I was searching to download a knitting pattern!
I suspected something was going on so luckily checked my email where I read that apparently I had signed up for this scam and had one day to unsubscribe!
Hopefully my unsubscribing was successful as otherwise I would have been paying for something that I did not need nor intend to sign up to.

I am a college student, and as part of school projects and assignments, I have to watch documentaries to prepare an impactful presentation. The kind of stuff available at this site is very useful.

AVOID

As a few people have mentioned on here, it seems that they are signing people up in an unscrupulous manner.
When sending a package on Vinted, I had to print out the packing slip. The slip also had a QR code which automatically took a zero fee payment from my account. It was a unclear the way they did this which was purposeful. No email sign up or anything.
7 Days Later, I assume after some apparent trial had expired they attempted to take £30 which my bank thankfully blocked.

A good customer care team

It started off with a mix up. I was trying to pay online to park my car. I thought i was downloading a pay to park app, something popped up, I clicked to download and got a message saying thank you for subscribing. Then I went on my phone to try to find the pay to park app i had downloaded, but I couldn't find it. A day later I got a notice saying £29.90 was paid to documentaries.pro
It turned out I had agreed to a one day free trial with £29.90 coming out monthly after that.

So I went to my bank and it turns out you have to contact the vendor first to sort out the payment. So I contacted documentaries.pro by email. They were very professional when they heard what had happened. They replied quickly, cancelled my subscription and refunded my payment.
Overall I am impressed with their customer services department but it was a bit naughty the way my money was taken in the first place.

Completescam

I was Originally contacted by my bank fraud department that this was flagged as a scam and that the payment was declined. Good because I had never heard of the outfit and certainly did not sign up for a monthly sub of £29.90. I also tried toi log in to cancel any sub I may have erroneously made but of course could't because I had never signed up for it in the first place. A week later I notice they have now re-requested the payment from my bank, but apparently, I cannot raise a dispute until the Pending payment has been accepted by them and only once it has actually gone through can I raise a dispute. I assured by my bank that I will have no problem claiming it back. But it just goes to highlight the fact that even though the original paymenyt was devlined as a fraud, the algorithms cannot flag up a recurring payment as a fraud. The site obviously know this ad thy their luck by rerequesting the declined pasyment. STEER WELL CLEAR!
