Very slow uploading for the Pathology…
Very slow uploading for the Pathology Results. I booked an online consultation on Sunday Jan12 and gave me a Pathology request. I immediately did the Test on Monday Jan13. I emailed the Dorevitch about my result on Jan15 and they replied that they already sent it to the Fax Number provided on the request form (for which I think the Fax number is centralised in their Doctors on demand office) I booked again for a consultation to read my results on Saturday Jan18 but the doctor said that she will wait it will be uploaded to their system. Now, imagine the time of your service Doctors on Demand it is too long and your not organised. The patients do not need to wait because it is important to us
That is a scam I got charged 30 dollars…
That is a scam I got charged 30 dollars and was talking to virtual assistant and they wanted more money for the doctor the thirty dollars was for missing an appointment it's just a money racket
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
I received confirmation of my first appt. and it stated it would cost $0. Once the appt was finished, I was charge $134 which took forever for them to refund and they didn't even refund the full amount. I decided to try again with them. I scheduled an appt and received a confirmation for it. Then a couple hours before that appt I received a confirmation for an appt 2 weeks away and my appt for that day disappeared. I had already taken off work for this appt. Now I try to contact customer service and I'm on hold for over an hour only for someone to answer and say they will take a message and someone will call me back. And they never do. This is the worst company EVER.
My daughter has been showing symptoms…
My daughter has been showing symptoms of a UTI, so I decided to use Doctor on Demand's virtual care service this Sunday. We consulted with Slyllia Thompson, who recommended a prescription and lab tests. However, we never received any updates or the prescription. I've been unable to contact anyone for assistance, as it seems everything is closed. Later that day, when we did get assistance we found out that California does not allow prescriptions from out of state doctors. AND the prescription they wrote up was 1k dollars... You would think that Doctor on Demand would disclose that information instead of being greedy and taking your money.
Illegal Medical Fraud in Billing
I am going out of my way to write a review as my care was beyond terrible.
First problem: I was sent multiple e-mails informing me that my cost of service would be $0 based on what my insurance would cover. I thought this was odd because I had a high deductible plan. Well, I was correct and was, in fact, billed $148 for a 50 minute service.
Second problem: I was being seen for a 50 minute virtual visit. The provider's internet cut out after approximately 10 minutes and the visit was never re-connected. I assumed someone would reach out to re-schedule or explain what happened, but instead I was sent a generic after visit summary and the appointment was still billed in full!
Third problem: I have spent literally hours at this point explaining to the billing department what happened and why they need to drop the bill. While the individual representatives have been respectful and kind, I continue to receive bills both by e-mail and through the mail. I tried e-mailing instead of calling and was sent a generic message that I was receiving a "valid bill for services rendered." This is absurd.
Doctor On Demand is committing medical fraud. Billing for a service that was not provided is illegal.
I will obviously never use their service again and highly encourage everyone else to avoid this company.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience. Doctor was ill informed. Wouldn’t prescribe meds that were in my chart for long term care. Tried to call the hotline to discuss treatment and sent a complaint and the customer service rep was rude and acted like she typed out a case and gave a number but wouldn’t send me a copy. Called back and they said the case number didn’t exist. I need my medication every month or I can die, and I can’t get into a regular PCP until June because no office is accepting new patients.
Extremely rude providers for already vulnerable patients
Provider was extremely rude to me when I mentioned the medication I had been thinking about and asked her opinion (not a controlled substance by any means)- she told me I could see another provider that would prescribe me "whatever drug" I "found on google". I had been very polite and pleasant leading up to this, and had not argued at all with her choice. I work in healthcare myself and have received extensive education on said drug, not that she asked. I was not only insulted, but astounded she would talk down to any patient in that manner. I sent a complaint on the customer service messenger platform and still have not received a response weeks later. If you desperately need something from an urgent care and can't get in it might be worth a shot, but be prepared to be treated terribly.
I found the experience to be easy
I found the experience to be easy to navigate and for me at least, much better than having to actually go to the office for an appointment. I definitely recommend it.
10-20 minute wait
10-20 minute wait? I been waiting 75 minutes so far, and nothing. I finally gave up after a 3 hour wait.
Dr On Demand is the worst…
Dr On Demand is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. They went through a merger with Include Health in November, so I’m not sure if it’s IH that’s the issue or DOD. However, since the merger I’ve been trying to gain access to everything that was in my account prior to the merger, with zero success. Since about 11/16 I have been calling and have talked to multiple “customer support” and/or “tech support”. They promise to help and never follow through. Yesterday I spoke with a self-described tech support person (obviously I’m skeptical) and I was met with one of the rudest and most patronizing persons (his name was Nicholas) that I have encountered in quite some time. I do not feel safe with this company and I am questioning whether they are within the parameters of HIPPA. I say this because I’ve been passed through, passed off, and spit-out by so many people with this company, and I too believe that they are a scam. So much so that I will be submitting a complaint with applicable Federal and State officials. Stay far away from this company!
Called Dr
Called Dr. on D for convience, Waited an hour, paid co-pay, doctor was with me less than 5 mins. It was obvious I was sick with a sinus infection, classic symptoms and would not provice a simple antibiotic, wasn't asking for narcotics, just an antibiotic. Now I have to go in and see my regular doctor. I felt there was no compassion or care at all.
Basically a scam
If only I could give zero stars! I filled out a pre-appointment symptoms form that only allowed me to identify one symptom when I had five distinct symptoms. I then waited for 20 minutes on the mobile app to speak with a doctor. I listed two symptoms. I was mid sentence describing a third symptom when the doctor interrupted me to say that I had a viral sinus infection, recommended Flonase, and hung up the call without warning. Doctor on Demand immediately charged me $99. I tried to reach out to customer service only to discover that it is an AI chatbot. This is an absolute scam and everyone associated with this company should be ashamed of themselves.
Terrible Doctors
Terrible Doctors, they do not listen to your concerns, questions, or issues, they seem to just want to collect their fee. Doctor dismissed all my questions, borderline laughed in my face and prescribed and helped with nothing.
Dr refused to prescribe antibiotics…
Dr refused to prescribe antibiotics because the 3 year old LOOKED fine. Are you kidding me? Waited an hour paid $99 and told her the list of symptoms which he has had for almost week.
Where do I start
Where do I start? Standard American healthcare experience here... I'm a brand new user. My new insurance recommends me to use Dr. On Demand if I want to see someone. Great! I sign up, request a doctor... waited an hour, get a text saying the doctor is about to join, head to my laptop... there is a survey waiting asking if I would recommend the service to a friend. So basically the call ended.
I try to get support through their help chat and it's AI and opens a ticket to their support team with no ETA whatsoever.
I then rejoin the queue, this time on the mobile app.
I wait another hour.
I then speak to a brusque doctor who after listening to what I requested (some routine labs) terminates the call without warning. PATHETIC SERVICE and will NEVER use again unless I am absolutely desperate.
My psychiatrist was cold and unfriendly.
My psychiatrist was cold and unfriendly.
Terrible quality of service
My doctor is great. However, DoctorOnDemand's quality of service has tanked since they started using a new system/company--IncludedHealth. I used to get my doctors notes immediately after the appointment. Now, I don't get them at all. I have to go round and round with their terrible messaging system to get the notes. Last time took over 2 weeks to get them. I'm still trying to get the ones for my appointment today. They've had this new system for close to 3 months now with no signs of improvement.
There have also been errors with my prescriptions on this and the last visit. Last time it took almost 3 weeks to resolve, and I almost ran out of meds waiting.
I was completely satisfied with the service before the change. Now I am going to see someone locally because I don't want to deal with the circus DoctoronDemand has become.
If I can do zero stars I would
If I can do zero stars I would.
My therapist is fantastic but the psychiatrist was terrible. She just wanted to get paid and you were just another person taking up her time. She wanted you off the phone quickly and was like a robot. Never looking at you and just typing asking standard questions. It was awful! She said she doesn't fill out paperwork for medical leave and I advised that I will need to see someone else who can and she said "Good luck!" This is why people are now taking action against healthcare companies. Not truly caring for a patient and their mental health and it just a money making business. The customer service is Horrific also!!!
Garbage
Garbage. Used to be a great app now it crashes. Random changes your appointment. This is not just oh bad service. THIS IS F ING OVER MENTALLY ILL AND DISABLED PPL AND COULD OR WILL RESULT IN DEATH. THIS IS NO JOKE. CRIMINALS
Double billing/over charging has been an ongoing problem
The therapist I’ve seen has been wonderful. The problem here is doctor on demand themselves. I have been using the app 3 months and have had 7 appointments. Each time my insurance has been billed, plus I have been directly charged the full amount for the appointments. They are taking the amount from my credit card and will not get back to me about refunds and I’ve been told since September that they will get to my case in the order in which it was received. I call each week and still have had zero progress. This is supposed to be helping my anxiety and depression but it has done nothing but add greatly to it and rack up $700 in credit charges to at should never have been there in the first place. I have given them. Explanations of benefits from my insurance provider for each appointment and they have told me over the phone that the billing is incorrect but they have done nothing to fix the issue. Unfortunately I won’t be using them anymore, though I found the interface and video appointments to be very convenient.
