DNA Legal - Methodological Failure and Technical Inconsistency

Headline: DNA Legal - Methodological Failure and Technical Inconsistency
I am extremely disappointed with DNA Legal's recent performance. There has been a grave lack of technical consistency that directly impacts legal proceedings.
In January 2026 (Case D569078), the lab performed a 3x1cm multi-segmented analysis, which correctly identified a "probable cessation" of drug use. However, in April 2026 (Case LT26-001778), they regressed to a 1x3cm global overview analysis without justification. By grinding three months of hair growth into a single sample, they failed to isolate my current sobriety, blending past environmental exposure with my present results.
Even more concerning, the reporting scientist, Mr. William Fazey, admits in the April report that without segmented testing, it is "not possible to determine" if the pattern of use has changed or ceased. The lab's own recommendation in item 1.2 is to perform a segmented test to clarify the situation.
It is unacceptable for a lab to provide an "inconclusive" report when they had the means and the prior history to provide a clear, segmented profile. They are providing technically inferior services that put family futures at risk. I demand a segmented re-analysis as per their own expert’s recommendation.

Jill at DNA Legal was professional

Jill at DNA Legal was professional, friendly, and made the whole process easy and stress-free. She took Tom’s blood and hair samples efficiently, explained everything clearly, and made us feel comfortable throughout. Her calm and reassuring manner was really appreciated. Excellent service and a credit to DNA Legal. Highly recommend.
