Had 4 Sony Xperias - never changing.

I have had Sony Xperias for my last 4 phones and they have never let me down. Reliable and durable. I have never broken a screen or had any form of damage on any of them. Shut my current one in a door the other day and the screen protector cracked but the phone itself was absolutely fine. Cameras could be a little better but otherwise can't fault. Huge bonus of these is that they are one of the FEW phones that is actually still HAND SIZED - I don't want a giant phone that I can't slip in my pocket - so many other brands make them so big they might as well be tablets. Tried a Motorola last year and it let me down within a week. Not changing brands!

Sony rip off

Bought xperia 10 a year ago, quite expensive, about a week after the warranty ran out my screen started freezing, and phone would lock up, contacted Sony via the chat service in the support app, and was told it was a common problem!!.. When I asked them how they were solving this common problem, I was told that they wait for the customer to contact them, and if the phone is in warranty, they fix it free of charge, if not then they charge, when I pointed out that waiting for the customer to have a problem that sony know will happen, isn't good customer service, I was told its not up to them to inform customers"That's what the warranty is for", I was told.
For Sony to sell a product that they know will probably fail after a year is absolutely disgusting, and then to charge them to fix a design fault just shows what a terrible company Sony actually is.
I will never buy another Sony product again.

I spent R7500 on a Sony Xperia and it has to be the biggest ware of money.. After a year of using it I can no longer hear when anyone calls so. I have to have it on loud speaker.. If you use Google maps the phone switches off in the middle of no where.. You can barely pickup a wifi signal unless you next to the router.. Don't buy this brand of cell phone and you can never get anyone to help you to even replace the battery... Total waste of money... DO NOT WASTE YOU MONEY AND TIME ON THIS PHONE!!!!

The worst customer service ever.

The worst customer service ever.

Sony customer support is based in Cairo and they tell you what they want and do totally opposite when asked for simple explanation they don’t bother to answer but to add more confusion and get rid of you just like that.
My email address was used by whoever it may be and I tried to recover using my date of birth is now over a month no help.
Rubbish company

I had a Sony Xperia Z2 earlier and I loved that phone. If you could increase the battery capacity and lifetime as well, I would buy again a Sony Mobile. Until this time, I stay with the Samsung.

Horrible company

Not at all happy with the service these are offering.
I sent my phone for repair in October for battery issue to which came back and the battery was fine but then started turning its self off to which I missed a call to say my sister had minutes to live
They didn't even say sorry for that neither
So in the end had to send it back again and how quick they sent it back I new they couldn't of done anything with it so I had to send it back again to which I got told I would receive it back before Christmas and got an email on Christmas day saying to allow 14 days to which the wk before I got told that it would be delivered to me before Christmas still haven't got the phone back and having to pay for use of another phone.

HORRIBLE SERVICE.
I WILL BE NOT BUYING ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN AFTER ALL THIS

I HAVE Asked FOR A MANGER TO RING ME OVER 2 WEEKS AGO GUESS WHAT STILL NO CALL

Sent a faulty Style Cover back to an address which Sony Xperia Customer Help transcript service had given to me.
After not hearing anything for two weeks called their 0203 6087610 number and selected option they give for returns. I was then told by 'Kelly' that they were not the returns option and she would give me another number. The number she gave was the old number Sony helpline no longer used. Called previous number (new number) back option and selected two again was again told I was through to wrong number again by 'Kelly' again.

I reminded Kelly what she had done previously but she just ignorantly repeated herself. I requested to speak to a manager and she stated she was the Manager.
I tried every option on their Xperia support line to find out the progress of my repair but was deliberately passed from pillar to post and lied to each time including being given Sony Support Numbers which are expensive and no longer in use.
I was going to buy a Sony ATMOS Amplifier but they've got no chance nowwith this standard of Customer Support (Non exist ant)

On 27/04/2019

On 27/04/2019, I've did speak on the phone with customer support and I've been sent an email containing a booking to fill up so I may send my device ( Sony Xperia XZ Premium) for repairs using the warranty.
On 29/04/2019, I've been sent another email containing a Royal Mail label for my parcel.
On 30/04/2019, the parcel with my device in it was posted. About 10-13 days later I called Sony Support to find out how are the repairs going, but I find out that my device didn't get there.
On 15/04/2019 a Complaint Manager at Xperia support by Sony sent me anemail telling me that my device got lost so they require my details so I would be sent a replacement device. The details were sent the following day. A device which didn't get to me not even until today. Since that day I've been given promises and procedures but no facts.Meanwhile, my own device came back just the way I've sent it, not being fixed. From the labels attached to my parcel, I find out that Sony fail to pay for delivery. Because of this situation, I didn't have my phone for a month and not only that it came back with the same issues.
On 3/05/2019 I've called Sony Support again to let them know about my situation, about my old device coming back to me, requesting a new booking for redelivery to Sony service and asking them to keep their so-called replacement device. They did send me an e-mail with a booking but after filling up all the field required ...for the last hour, I'm trying to submit my booking and apparently all I'm getting is " Something went wrong... Please try again".
I've called them several times but they never bother to help even after telling them about the situation.

Paid 700£ for a device and after almost 2 years of usage I must beg for my device to be fixed using it's warranty.

Now my question is this... Why should I buy another expensive device from Sony when I know for sure that the people witch suppose to help don't care about you issue with that device.

Avoid Sony Xperia 1

I have been using the Sony Xperia 1 for the last 3 weeks & I have to say it's a terrible phone.
Firstly the 4k HDR display it's just does not get bright enough for viewing unless you are in a dark room. Secondly the camera is an absolute garbage, when recording videos in 4k or hd the frame rate is so bad the videos loses a lot of the details. Image stabilization is not good either just slight movements & videos becoming jumpy, fingerprint reader most of the time requires multiple attempts to open the phone. Come on Sony get your acts together, you build some of the best hardware in the industry but your software is absolute garbage.
Never buying an Xperia phone again.

I had to send in my xz1 for repair because the antenna got hot, had a bad recieption, no more gps and the screen got a burn mark. Where I bought the phone did not excist anymore and it come originally out of the UK while I bought it in Germany. Nevertheless it was fixed and send back perfectly within a week, no questions asked. It is not always bad :)

Sony customer services is dismal

My Sony earbuds broke so I contacted them and they told me I needed to get hold of their Xperia division which I found very odd considering there were headphones and not an actual phone I then sent them off and three weeks later i was still waiting for a reply I contacted them they sent me numerous emails constantly asking me the same things for my details I then received a phone call from someone in India who I could not understand and they didn't understand anything I was saying as the time of writing I am still waiting for a solution

Sony lost my phone and I'm still waiting for a replacement

Took almost three months to get Sony to accept my phone back under warranty. They continually fobbed me off with resets and such repetitive attempts at a solution. Every new person I spoke to got me to do the same things over and over again.Couldn't get them to send a label to me ,they eventually did.Their couriers gave about 15 mins notice via text they intended to collect the phone every time.. always when I was out at work and always to the phone they were meant to be collecting.
The issue was that it did random things like turn on torch, flight mode and bluetooth even after you turn it off, which is a massive security issue. Eventually got it to there service centre after weeks of calls and timewasting. They agreed it was unrepairable. Sent a replacement back to me 28th March.courier lost it that day.sony filed a lost phone claim 3pm 29th March as courier confirmed that it was totally lost. It's now 12th April and I've had no word,no replacement for the phone they lost and no one at Sony knows what's going on other than the fact they will keep me without a phone for weeks when they are at fault. This is obviously a shortened account of weeks of calls and problems The worst customer service I've ever experienced.Ive been loyal to Sony since the xperia Z..... now its Goodbye Sony
