Deejay.de has a good and broad selection of records, which is the main reason I keep ordering there. Unfortunately, my recent experience with the ordering process and customer service was quite frustrating.
Last Tuesday I placed an order for 9 records. At that moment, 5 of them were in stock, so I paid for those immediately. This order qualified for free shipping under their conditions. The remaining 4 records were on backorder and, as far as I understood, would also be part of the same order.
The next day I received an email saying that one additional record had become available and that I had to pay for it separately, otherwise my order could not be shipped. I did that, but this resulted in 3 records still being on backorder. Because of this, I now have to pay shipping costs after all.
I contacted customer service to ask about this situation, but I did not receive a response to my questions. I find the communication and service difficult and disappointing. Over the last five weeks I have spent more than 300 euros on records here, so I would have expected some flexibility or at least a clear explanation.
It is a shame, because the product range is good, but the ordering system and lack of communication really take away from the overall experience.
Firstly, in my view, Deejay.de offers a great user experience for "online digging". On top of that, vinyls and shipping are competitively priced. I also love the option to add items to an order even after payment has been made.
The returns process is less straightforward. For example, there is no automatic return label, so you have to arrange the shipping yourself. Secondly, I found the process somewhat convoluted - the information is only available in German and buried somewhere in the T&C. It would be much easier if there was a "Return" button next to the order.
However, I would still rate the store 5/5 if the following hadn't happened:
One of the vinyls in my last order arrived significantly warped. I was in a rush, so I didn’t contact support - instead, I sent it back with another vinyl that I wanted to return. The store refused to accept this vinyl, which I can understand as a first reaction. However, when I tried to explain the situation and come to some sort of agreement (like buying the vinyl at discounted price), they strictly rejected this. While I admit I should’ve contacted the support before sending the vinyl back, as a regular customer (this was my 5th order) I would have appreciated some trust from the business.
Horrible,I did a pre-order of LP Vinyl, when the date to have It were coming, they change for a later date, I write them and said me to write the provider/label record directly, I write the provider and say me via email,deejay.de haven't done any order to them, not serious, bad experience and not recommend honestly
Easy to find the somewhat obscure record I was after. Fairly priced and good delivery to UK - excellent packaging.

Vinyl came incomplete and damaged. Inner sleeve ripped, vinyl scratched, missing photocards. Customer service didn't want to do anything and only offered 10% discount for next one. Wouldn't recommend

Bought a vinyl from them for the very first time and the whole experience was amazing.
The vinyl was shipped very quickly, the website is nice and easy to navigate and the ordering process is very easy and smooth.
What truly stands out with them and has made me a returning customer was the the care they’ve put in packaging the vinyl. The shipping box is amazing, ensuring that the vinyl stays safe during shipping.
