Excellent engineers!

I've had Circet out many times to repair my Internet connection, and given I live up a mountain in a remote part of waterford and the roads are terrible, each and every time ive had a visit, the engineer has been an absolute hero! Today was Peter, and he spent 4 hours climbing up poles and returning to the farm and got me up and running with zero moans! Thank you Peter, and circet for getting me back online again!

Engineer did not call during scheduled 4 hour windw. He did not call to say he would be late. I called circet twice and they left messages with the Engineer. He eventually called and said he would arrive between 5.30 and 6. He never showed up and did not answer or return my calls. This company is a joke.

Really bad attitude

Really bad, not to mention rude, attitude today from a Circet employee I encountered who was digging a hole - not in the road, but in a verge at the side of the road - to erect a pole for Openreach. It would have been so simple for him to allow people local access without backing up and going around a detour, but no. Not allowed, no way. And just to prove his point, he got in his van and manoeuvred it so that it blocked the entire lane.

Way to go old man. I hope you sleep well tonight, job well done!

Destroyed our property for someone else's broadband connection.

We returned to our office at the end of January to find a black cable running up, along and down our walls (badly) and our yard smashed to pieces. We checked our CCTV to discover "engineers" hammering and banging our building to install broadband for our neighbours.

One of our members of staff spent a whole day trying to find a resolution to same. To no avail.

We were dealing with an unpleasant chap in the company called James Cummisky. The last communication I had with him he assured me 1. He was to apologise to my colleague for calling her a liar, when we provided footage of the said incident and proved him incorrect in his assertions and 2. That the damage done to our premises would be rectified. We received a visit from two of their quality engineers who sided wholeheartedly with us with regard to the quality of work and the damage done to our property. We did not authorise the company to be on our property, let alone smash up our yard, damaging our existing cabling and walls, nor did their engineers request permission for same as evidenced in our cctv footage of them.

We have spent the past 2 months trying to get a resolution but no one returns emails, no one answers their phones (except sales of course €).

Avoid this company like the plague.

AVOID AT ALL COST

Had to give 1 star because there are no lower options.
Customer service is diabolical. The cable installation could have been done better by a 5 year old. Circet manager supposed to contact us to sort problem out. Neither seen him or heard from him since issue raised 5 weeks ago but tells EE and Openreach he has been in touch. If you can AVOID please do. They are being paid under false pretences

Just had a really rude member of staff…

Just had a really rude member of staff working on a property across from my house. I am disabled and park my car in front of my house so it's not far if I have to carry anything. This staffs van was parked outside the property the man was working on when I left my house to go shopping. On my return an hour later it was parked across my driveway. I asked him if he could move his ven, he stated two minutes, I waited in my car, he did not come from the property to move it. So I asked again, and went to my car, he then approached my car and stated it was a public highway and I had a trailer in my drive so he wasn't going to move it. I carried my goods into the house from across the road. I then knocked on the property door to speak to the lady, who also asked him if he could move it. At that point I told both of them twice I had osteo arthritis. I also have spinal arthritis. Hence the parking space in front of the house that I live in is essential. This member of staff was extremely rude to me and point blank refused to move his van. This company needs to respect other residents when working on a property and consider the needs of others, including those with disabilities. Appalling attitude from this man.

First Class A1

On Friday 20/02/2026 I had a visit from one of your engineers to put right my broadband connection following disappointing instalation performance by outreach. I have to say your engineer was a pleasure to have in my home, his name is Tom and he was very empathetic as I have had a stroke, he explained everything to me clearly, he showed total respect for my home, he was polite and did everything to resolve my issues. I have to say he is an excellent ambassador for your company, Brilliant

Ryan the engineer

Ryan the Circet engineer did a great job informed me every step of what he was doing and put ONT box where I wanted it beside router in living room.
Ryan drilled hole in wall connected fibre cable electrics and router to ONT box he then connected cables outside and tidied up.
I then did a speed test on my mobile and was at 103 download which was ideal rechecked today and still the same.
Fantastic job Ryan.

This review concerns property damage…

This review concerns property damage caused during work at a neighbour’s home, not an installation at my property.
On 26 June 2025, between 12:30 and 13:30, engineers contracted by Openreach (Circet) were carrying out fibre optic installation work at my neighbour’s address.
During this work, a cordless drill was dropped onto my roof, damaging slate tiles. I confronted the engineers immediately, but they refused to accept responsibility.
I have video evidence and the registration number of the van present at the time.
Despite reporting the matter to both Circet and Openreach, I have been left with a damaged roof and no resolution. The lack of accountability and communication has been extremely disappointing.
I am seeking appropriate compensation for the damage caused and a proper response from the company responsible.

Installation engr. Victor Ehiosun came and install my broadband full fibre today.
He was very patient and humble, neat and professional at his job.
He connect me to my TV, table and devices, he did a wifi check and ensure that the router was position in best location to avoid blind spot.

Abusive staff entered property without notice or permission

A man with a large ladder suddenly just appeared in my garden. I asked what he was doing, “broadband” he said. I asked for details as we the landowners had not been informed of any work. He refused. I fetched my baby he had woken and I said they are welcome to do work but I needed more details and he refused and stuck his middle finger up me. I tried to contact the company but there was no answer.

The installer came out and for some…

The installer came out and for some strange reason installed our internet (we pay €50 a month to guarantee over 60meg) in the attic. Our previous company imagine had it in the hall and we had lightening quick speed. They withdrew services from our area, we are rural. We moved to sky who use Circet, the internet literally gave us 3meg. Moved to regional broadband and now get 6meg out of a thousand. The ceiling and insulation have completely blocked the internet. What an absolute imbecile. Every single IT/ internet savvy person is baffled as to why circet even do this, we have emailed 5x times, this has destroyed being able to work from home and we are relying on dongles which we now have to pay for until we get this sorted. Useless incompetent company, staff reply once and vanish, if they reply at all. I got the same “address and installation date please” twice and they never came back. The other 3 emails went unanswered. I am now looking into a solicitor for the loss of earnings and the lack of competence. This is ongoing 6 months and we have had enough. Avoid any company who uses circet.
