Satisfied, Would Rent Again
Uliana was very helpful throughout the process. Her feedback was clear and practical, and made things much easier to understand. I really appreciate her support and guidance. Overall, we didn’t have any major issues, but there were some minor damages in the vehicle we received this time. The car we rented two years ago was in better condition. However, we were still satisfied with the service and would consider renting again at a suitable time.
Not the premium experience expected from CanaDream
1 - Before choosing the vehicle, I contacted CanaDream to ask about the ideal RV for the location and season (Canadian Rockies in the spring). The suggestion I received was to get a "winter-ready" RV, so that is the one I chose.
On the day I picked up the RV, I noticed that it was missing a few features compared to the actual model I had paid for. It had no window blackouts, and while there was a curtain separating the cabin from the living area, it was not a blackout curtain. I questioned the staff about this, and their answer was: "It’s spring now, you won’t need them; those features are only used in the winter."
This was a huge issue for us. In the Rockies during this season, it stays bright until very late at night and the sun rises incredibly early. Not having proper blackouts deeply affected our sleep and comfort.
Well, paying an extra $1,000 for a unit that did not include what I paid for is a lot of money. If you know a customer won't need a winter-ready vehicle in the spring, you shouldn’t recommend it and charge extra for it.
On the day I returned the vehicle, I spoke with the manager, and their excuse was that "you never know how the weather will be."
If that is the case, I would suggest two fair options for the company:
A - You must deliver the exact vehicle features that you charged for.
B - (A much smarter option): Make it a conditional clause. If on the day you prepare the vehicle you see the weather requires it to be winter-ready, you charge for it; otherwise, you don’t.
2 - Right after leaving the CanaDream depot on the day I picked up the vehicle, I noticed the fuel gauge started dropping almost immediately. It caught my attention.
After my first refueling, I had to drive about 100 km before the fuel light even started to move down. This made it clear that the tank was not actually full when I received it. That is another few dollars paid for nothing. For the record, I refueled the RV at the nearest gas station right before returning it.
3 - Despite being the most expensive option, the unit I got was old and had several dents and dings.
4 - On top of everything, the awning was completely disabled. When I asked about it, I was told that someone else had damaged it previously, so the company simply decided to lock it and keep it disabled instead of fixing it before renting it out again.
I always imagined that CanaDream's service would be superior to cheaper competitors, but unfortunately, it wasn’t.
All was great
All was great. We had a cancelación of our fligth to Calgary, and everything was made easy for us when picking up the RV.
Great RV, Poor Calgary Check In and Quality Control
We enjoyed our trip with CanaDream, but unfortunately the check in at the Calgary branch did not meet expectations.
We received a brand new Ford F350 with only 50 km on it, which was great. However, the employee doing the handover barely spoke English and did not seem to know the vehicle very well. She explained multiple things incorrectly, including mixing up the city water connection and fresh water tank connection. She also told us to fill up with gasoline even though the truck was clearly marked as diesel.
Before leaving, I checked the brake lights and found that none of them were working. This is a basic safety item and should have been caught before the vehicle was handed over. It immediately made me question the quality checks being done at the Calgary branch.
Once we got on the road, we had a great trip and the camper itself was excellent. The supplied linen and kitchen set were also very good.
Unfortunately, more issues came up during the trip. The propane alarm kept going off in the middle of the night. When I checked the system, I found that one of the propane hoses was completely cracked and leaking gas. Luckily there were two propane tanks, but a propane leak is something that should never make it past an inspection.
The final issue was that the electric water heater did not work.
Returning the camper in Vancouver was smooth and professional with no issues at all.
Overall, we enjoyed our holiday and liked the camper itself, but the number of problems we found, especially the non functioning brake lights and leaking propane hose, point to poor quality control at the Calgary branch. I hope CanaDream takes this feedback seriously and improves both staff training and vehicle inspections.
The fridge and freezer in our RV did…
The fridge and freezer in our RV did not work for the whole trip. We had to resort to a cooler and ice for our vacation. We initially thought it might be because we were running on battery but in the second part of the trip we plugged into a 30-amp circuit and the result was the same. We called the helpline and while they were polite enough, there was nothing they could do short of recommending we take it into a service centre. The fresh water, grey water, and black water tank indicators were not calibrated. We went through a full tank of fresh water with the grey water and black water tank indicators still reading empty. The whole experience created a bunch of stress on our vacation. The RV was nice enough but they should really test that all the systems work before they send it out. This obviously was not done in our case.
These guys were great
These guys were great. Hassle free pick up and drop off. The RV was brand new. Very helpful staff. They only keep the RV no longer than 2 years. I would definitely recommend.
Fix your checkin times
Fix your checkin times, unacceptable that its only open to 5pm, and that every hour after 10am its 75$ checking out.
Great RV Experience and Excellent Service from Yordanos
We had a great 5-night camping trip with CanaDream RV and rented the largest RV option. Overall, we were very happy with the experience.
A special thank you to Yordanos, who helped us in person and showed us the available RV options. She was very helpful, patient, and professional, and she made it easier for us to choose the best RV for our trip. Her customer service was excellent and really added to our positive experience.
The booking process was easy, and both check-in and check-out went smoothly. The RV was clean, comfortable, and ready for our trip, and we really enjoyed our time with it.
The only thing to be aware of is that the final price can become higher than what you first see on the website because of the additional insurance charges. This part was not related to Yordanos, but it is something customers should keep in mind when planning their budget.
Overall, we are happy with our experience and hope to rent from CanaDream again in the future.

Charged for alleged damage despite immediate reporting
Our RV trip itself was enjoyable, but I was disappointed with how a post-rental issue was handled.
During normal highway driving, the exterior water heater access door detached from the RV without any collision, impact, off-road driving, or misuse. We reported the issue immediately, provided photos, and were instructed by CanaDream's North America Guest Support team to continue the trip.
Despite this, we were later charged for the replacement upon return, even though no evidence was provided showing negligence or misuse on our part. I respectfully dispute the charge because the issue appeared consistent with a mechanical latch/hinge failure during ordinary use.
I appreciate that CanaDream later offered a partial goodwill refund, but I remain disappointed with the handling of liability for what appears to have been a mechanical failure rather than customer-caused damage
