I was part of the same scam but was refunded nine months later.

I was part of the same scam, received literature in the mail similar to what state of michigan sends when it is time to pay annual report. I knew better but paid them a $200 fee anyway. When it dawned on me, I immediately start pursuing a refund because there was no need for their services. For months they gave this excuse that the payment system they used was no longer valid and they were trying to recoup funds from them.

After months of follow-up and finally telling them I would pursue legal representation, they sent me a full refund check. It took about six (6) months but they did honor my refund, got to give them that much.

What a scammer

Came to let everyone know the scam this company is pulling on you. Just cuz you have a business, they feel it’s ok to mail you and scam you into paying $165 for filing your annual registration. It takes 2 minutes to do on your own but they prey on naive business owners. Don’t fall for it

These people keep sending me spam mail, wanting to charge $172 for a service that I can do myself online in 2 minutes or less. Apparently, they will try to auto-renew if you use them once, so that they can keep milking you if you make the mistake of using them once. STAY AWAY

They scammed me last year-

They scammed me last year-
I called wanting my money back, which they would not return and now this year they’re trying to say I’m “automatically signed up for renewal”, which I never agreed to if I was fighting on the original sale -Why would I want to be automatically billed again in a year? Beware these are predators and they are trying to illegally charge my business card once again.

Please don't fall for this scam :(

Sent me an email threatening my business would be dissolved or fined $500/day if I didn't file through their provided link. This email came during my filing month and I had previously received notice from the Secretary of State that it was time...so I (unfortunately) did not pay close enough attention to WHO this threatening email was from. Although it appears to be from a .org email, it is in fact a predatory third-party company collecting insane amounts of money ($150!!!) to do what I can do in 5 minutes FOR FREE through the state of Idaho. Ugh. Lesson learned, but I've filed a complaint with the Attorney General in Idaho.

Not a 'scam' per se

Not a 'scam' per se, but is NOT needed. The only forms you need to fill out annually are usually suffixed with .org or .mil. If the site you are directed to pay is not this, then it is NOT from your state or federal government.
Ignore these notices from this COMPANY as it is not government, but a service you DON'T need.

Has to be a scam

Has to be a scam, I received the same letter as everyone else, to my home address and I have no company or LLC to file AT ALL!

This is a SCAM..

This is a SCAM... Definitely! Not sure why it is legal for them to send letters to companies saying they have annual reports or whatever, past due... even though everything has been filed. The fine print on their letters says they are "... not affiliated with any government office or agency." That alone should tell you to throw their letters in the garbage.

Deceitful practices / scam

As mentioned by numerous other reviews, I received a letter in an envelope with no return address stating incorrectly that my Annual Report for my LLC was overdue. They stated in the letter that my LLC would be administratively dissolved or revoked. I am up to date on my Annual Report which was filed over 7 months ago. This company is being deceitful / SHADY. They are essentially operating a scam. The lack of any contact information on the envelope or in the letter is a telltale sign of a scam. The company name is even hidden in very small fine print at the bottom of the letter. Luckily, I didn't fall for it. Others please be aware!

I would have given Busfile a zero but I…

I would have given Busfile a zero but I had to give a 1 star in order to review. This company is a SCAM and the folks working there are dishonest and lack integrity. They should be ashamed. They send a letter pretending to be a government agency telling you to immediately file with them or be penalized or lose your LLC. They charge $175. DON'T BE SCAMMED!

Total scam

Total scam. I just about fell for it. The letter said my LLC may be administratively dissolve or revoked if it wasn't paid. But the $175 renewal fee seemed unusually high when it is normally only about $18 to renew. I did some investigating and realized it was a scam. Somebody needs to do something about these types of scams.

Scam

Scam, got a latter from them to file annual report or revoked. I followed the instruction and then it asked me to pay $175. Checked with Grok and learned that it was the wrong website.

Scam company

Scam company. Sent me a letter that my state filing was past due...it was not. The letter only has their name in small print on the bottom. Avoid them!

This is definitely a scam

This is definitely a scam, it's not even my reporting month until August and when you go to this website doesn't go through the Secretary of State which is responsible for business licenses. It does ask for a large renewal fee at the end (like $160 more than an actual renewal). Don't fall for the letter they mail to you or use the QR code. Go directly to the secretary of state to file your periodic report!
