Saved My Life

I have experienced depression for over 1 year. I tried 1v1 consultations for a few months but it didn’t work out. I did not want to take pills as I was afraid that it would become a long term medication, which added extra pressure to me. It was really hard for me to get up from bed and painful to go to work or do anything. I lost interest in anything in my life. My thoughts went extreme from time to time. I can barely feel love or happiness.

I came across Roger that time. After the first assessment, Roger pointed out that the results showed that my left and right brains were not balanced, and also a clear sign of depression. He is very responsible. When trying to get the assessment data, he can spend over 1 hour until getting the accurate data. He studies carefully, customizes the protocol and adjusts the protocol listening to my feedback. I went there twice a week. I felt that my status clearly became better after 20 sessions. My mood became stable. Going to work was not that much painful anymore. I had extreme thoughts less and less.

After my status became better, I started to go there once a week to adjust my emotions and also my lack of motivation, with doing the infrared hat every day. Now I become more motivated to do things of my interest and being more acceptable to any conflicts in my daily life.

I go there once every 2 weeks now to maintain my status. Roger pulled my life back to normal. I can feel love and happiness now. My depression is almost gone. It means a lot to me.

I strongly recommend anyone who is suffering emotional/mental illness should try Neurofeedback. Please choose your trainer carefully as all that matters are your trainer’s level of knowledge and skills. Roger is the one that you should trust. He never promises things 100% but he never gives up. He always studies on each patient’s case with dedication.

I highly recommend this to sufferers of anxiety, depression and sleeping problem

As a long-term sufferer of anxiety, depression, and sleep problems, who tried various methods for years to help myself, such as psychotherapy, meds, and rTMS, I find the neurofeedback training provided by Roger Lee (the mental health expert of this center), extremely powerful and I would highly recommend his service.

I have been started working with Roger since April 2022. Improvement became apparent after 20 sessions (3 months) that greatly enhanced my quality of life. After that more and more improvement was seen. I am very satisfied Currently I am still doing the training but in a looser interval, to make my brain even better in various areas.

In short, it mainly helps me in three ways:

1. I was haunted by emotions such as fear and regret. At times, disturbing thoughts can be excruciating as they can be Intrusive and pop up like uncontrollable machine guns, such as 20 scary thoughts per minute. It could make me suicidal.

After a few months of training, I find that I have a lot greater control over choosing what I think and not think, which means fewer negative thoughts, also when they appear, the frequency of appearing is a lot slower, maybe 3 thoughts per minute.

Also, even negative thoughts, have the same content as before, the painful emotion is less intense now, maybe 70% less painful.

In addition, I feel my mental world is slightly different as if I can think in a slightly more rational and balanced way.

2. Since childhood, I have been easily startled and get fearful/tensed, therefore I have a weak tolerance to stress. This undermined my career as I can be easily shaken by events. Neurofeedback builds my resilience gradually. For example, before neurofeedback training, if encountered some stressful event, I could be painfully anxious, depressed, and dysfunctional for a few weeks

With the training, for a similar event, I could be anxious for only a few days, then rebound strongly and return to normal. Also, with an enhanced ability to learn and evolve from stressful events to make my brain more resilient to future events.

3. Since childhood, I was not a good sleeper, starting from the age of 18, it often took hours for me to fall asleep, my mind was like a monkey mind, had so many thoughts popping up all the time, the over active thinking prevented me from falling asleep. This is very annoying and seriously harms my health and productivity. Even with lots of good sleep habits, such as waking/sleeping at regular times, limiting screen time at night, physical exercises, and exposure to sunlight to reset the circadian rhythm. These habits are certainly helpful, however, it does not solve the problem, because I could suddenly have a night that takes me 3 hours to fall asleep and mess up all the sleeping pattern that takes weeks to build. Sleeping remains a big challenge.

After 2 months of training that targets my sleeping, I now fall asleep easily, within 10 to 30 minutes, even without any of the good habits I mentioned above. In fact, now I can fall asleep even with bad sleep habits. Sleep is not a challenge for me anymore.

4. People around me say my temperament becomes calmer and less restless in a way that I can savor the joy of life better, I assume they are right.
