This is an exceptional service!

For almost 2 years, I've been a reseller of this hosting. I had my doubts at the beginning, however when I decided to jump into this business, I trust in the guys giving this excellent service and, so far I didn't get any kind of neither issues nor complains from the customers I'm provisioning this service.

So, if you need a hosting service which excels in anything, this is the one by far.

The prices are extremely competitive, which is always appreciated.

Of particular value, though, are the support staff who always seem willing to assist and take the time to get to the bottom of any issue that might arise - a far cry from companies who either require you to jump through many hoops before getting to speak to someone competent, or simply saying that they can't help.

A final point I'll add is that you will typically have plenty of control over your account. I migrated away from my previous provider because they would only allow me to install extortionately priced SSL certificates purchased through them. No such issues with Smart Hosting, so far - and my general impression is of a company that truly values their customers satisfaction.

Over the past 20 years I’ve changed hosting company 4 times, each time seeking better performance, value and service. Having been with Smart for three years now I can’t see myself moving again for the foreseeable future.

I have a reseller server with Smart: 32 processors, SSD Disks, I can choose between PHP 5-7+, I have 130gb of RAM, WHM/cPanel, LiteSpeed, SpamExperts and free Let’s Encrypt, DDoS protection and all 100% powered with Renewable Energy and outstanding value for money. I also have 99.98+% uptime and <200ms response time. And if you host websites for a non-UK market, there is also free access to CloudFare with a single click...

This is rock solid, super-fast shared hosting.

Don’t get me going on the support! It’s even better… The knowledge base is excellent, there are instructional videos, the ticket system is super simple and fast, and of course there is almost instant response on live-chat. Plus of course you always get your problem solved by the incredibly polite, intelligent and knowledgeable team.

If you don’t migrate to Smart, which is also ridiculously simple if you already have cPanel hosting, you are seriously missing out.

Do it now.

OK, it's just on 2 years now since we migrated a large network of client sites from managed dedicated servers in France to the Reseller account we have with these guys.
During those two years everything has been brilliant, both sites and email services have been stable and fast.
Support I find compared to other hosts I have been with over the last 20 years, Heart and Demon to name a few, has been second to none, in fact they set the standard that all other hosts should be aspiring too.
So in a nutshell I would recommend hosting with these guys any day of the week :-)

I have been using Smarthosting for a few years now and have one of the best platforms around and now with GIT in-built into the Control Panel of every account we host with them has so many added bonuses.

This company are probably the best value for money, great support services and documentation. Literally everything ready to go out of the box!

edit: 2019: New service changes: I am registering my strong unhappiness with the plan changes - like others, I am facing a 100% or more price increase with a decrease in actual features; in fact, the proposed package is now going to be pretty much identical to the hosting service I left in order to move to Smart in the first place! It's even more depressing when I've only been a customer for three months...
I am one of those folk who use a small amount of diskspace but a number of unique domains. I'd be very interested to have an actual answer as to what it is about unique domains that means that having more than 2 requires a doubling of costs (but that the standard package can still have 2 so it doesn't look like a justifiable restriction.)
Specifying a limited storage space seems fine - albeit seeming rather like penalising folk who play fair - but domain limits just seem arbitrary.
I was so pleased to find a UK-based hosting service with a good set of packages. I fear that external pressures are forcing you to become merely a clone of other services. :(

I have been with Smart Hosting for about 5 years now, its rock solid, had some errors I have created myself even then support have fixed them really quick.

I've been with smart hosting for several years. The hosting is great, fantastic uptimes, super fast cloud hosting, no restrictions on the number of websites you can host, no restrictions on storage or bandwidth... the list goes on.

However the best thing by far is the quality of their technical support. They really do go the extra mile. I've given then some borderline cases if I'm honest. I mean problems which were on occaision not really their problem at all, (I'm really sorry, forgive me). But they've not once told me it's not their problem. Instead they stepped in and really helped me when I was well and truly stuck. They are kind and really know their stuff.

You can have the best hosting in the world, but without first class support it means nothing. So I will be sticking with them for their tech support alone. Plus the hosting is actually great.

I am with Smart Hosting since 11/2015 and recommend to everyone.
Their UK customer support is competent and very helpful.

I wrote a review here of SmartHosting some three years' ago, soon after having my first domains with them. In that review I spoke of their brilliant customer service (one wonders how they keep finding such nice staff), solid hosting dependability (and speed, security, etc.), and fantastic (and honest) pricing (e.g. you get 'free' with them what other webhosters sting you for). All that's changed is that I now have many more domains with SmartHosting. For just as they surely were, they are now: unbeatable. You absolutely will not regret entrusting them for your webhosting needs.

Best web hosting company I've ever used!

The server has a very low response time, everything is configurable and it's very good value for money. Only needed to speak to support twice, regarding setup and I had the answers almost immediately.
