Great overall, the monetization is hard to nail down, and you need quite a bit of volume to really get traction from it, but if you have the ability to grow and focus heavily on this project, there is a lot of potential.

I use beehiive as a freelance ghostwriter for multiple businesses and the UX/UI is super clean and easy to use for all levels of writers/creators. My other fav features are the MCP and the webinars. This has helped us scale the businesses with so much faster and expand the community while getting deeper insights about what drives them.

Beehiiv felt like a natural progression from Substack and Medium. I'm only 2 months into my newsletter, and the options just keep rolling out. I'm actually impressed with the amount of things this one platform allows you to do, from the many ways to monetize, selling your services (unfortunately, I needed to go one more plan up to do that) to now creating a podcast, it's really the all-in-one site. If I didn't already have a site, I would have gone with this. My only gripe is it's not as intuitive as you'd hope, and because they keep rolling out new stuff, things get moved around often. But my experience with support has been good. Own your stuff and use beehiiv.

I feel baited because Beehiiv doesn't clearly mark what features are part of their Pro plan or not. So I just wasted so much time building custom email templates with automations only to find out that I cannot publish them without upgrading to Pro. It would have been nice to know early on that these features are not available BEFORE wasting my time. This turned me off so much that I decided to forego launching my newsletter with Beehiiv altogether. It feels like a money grab and very dishonest. Plus, their email templates and tools are not very intuitive. The customization options are clunky at best, and quite honestly, I've had better customization options with a free MailChimp account.

I've known about Beehiiv for a while and noticed several newsletters I receive use it, but only recently considered it for my business.

I initially thought it was just another newsletter platform, but I was amazed to discover the incredible range of features and tools it offers, waaaaay beyond a simple newsletter!

While all the features and benefits are phenomenal, navigating a new platform always has a learning curve and can be challenging and frustrating. However, what truly sets Beehiiv apart is the amazing live webinars hosted by their awesome Community Manager, Conor.

Being able to attend these regular events, ask questions, and get real-time answers is an "over the top" UX experience. I haven't even written my first newsletter, and I'm already a big fan!

Site was completely glitchy. I tried to start a newsletter here recently. I have almost 2500 legitimate emails. After organizing them carefully as per this company's instructions and submitting the list, I kept getting error messages ending in "try again later", indicating a problem on their part. Finally gave up in frustration and sent them a message why. I deleted my account. Then I started receiving mailers from them. I did not subscribe to any mailers, I always double-check that I'm not signing up for anything, but they do not respect this. So I was forced to unsubscribe, obviously just proving to them my email address works so they can continue to use it to target me through their company, or pass it on to others. This is obviously the case as I continue to get more mailers from them. I am frustrated and angry that this company first of all was a major waste of time, and now they don't even respect my choice not to deal with them.

Please note for the "date of incident" I just chose a random one, the attempt to start a mailing list was sometime in March and the mailers are ongoing. I am not willing just to put this unwanted garbage in "spam", which continues to pad the numbers of this unethical company's own mailing list. This is common trickery by online companies and I'm sick of being targeted by disreputable sites like this.

I started using Beehiv just a week ago. At first, everything looks amazing. It's easy to use, and I haven't had much trouble using it until today. My account got locked for a possible violation of its terms of use. Possible violation, yet they have deleted my website right away. Customer service is reachable, but their responses follow the plan. So, if you're using just the Launch plan, which is free for a limited time, you'll get the support you need after 12 to 48 hours. Unbelievable. This isn't the company you trust for your business. I've switched to another provider for my newsletter.

beehiiv is so easy to use! I have started a newsletter from scratch and found that their documentation and tutorials are extremely helpful. They just released a Podcast feature that I am going to explore. Overall, it was super easy to get my website and newsletter up and running.

Great overall platform! I was looking for a good tool to help me get started my newsletter and given my lack of social presence the community of this app made a tremendous impact on my ramp up!

Beehiiv has everything I need for my newsletter that promotes my OK Boomer podcast. Also, the Beehiiv people tell us that within a few months, video podcasts will be supported.

More customisation for website builder, newsletter email, better analytics and superior monetisation than any other platform and now podcast hosting too

My account was closed without any prior warning, and I have lost access to all of my subscribers and posts. Additionally, I have lost over $4,000 in revenue due to this lack of access. The customer support refused to tell me why my account was terminated.

The registration process is one of the WORST experiences I've ever had. The email address can't be used, and the password cannot be reset (the email never comes through). NOTHING WORKS!

And of course, NO FREE version.

Having you own Slack for everyone to communicate with other users and Beehiiv folks is top notch.

Unbelievably good company to work with. They will drop everything to help you solve your problem at a moment's notice. Their customer success team is elite. Even Tyler (the CEO) responds to us with helpful answers at hours that suggest he either doesn't sleep or is actually 2 people in a trench coat.

My experience with this platform has been very good. The thing I liked about Beehiiv is their support team and ad network. So I was having issues with my site, I created a support ticket, and within two days I got a response from the team, and the response was really helpful; it solved my problem. The second thing is its ad network. If you are someone who loves writing and wanna get paid for their writing work, this is one of the best platforms for you. Their ad network is fantastic.

Allow small creators more have paid sign ups, the upgrade options are too expensive for people with small followings. Especially if they can't/ haven't made any money from their newsletter yet, how can upgrading and paying lots of money guarantee they'll make their money back?

Substack give this option, why don't you. I'm tempted to go back..

Beehiiv has also been the place where more right wing freaks have signed up to my newsletter, monitoring what I say and messaging me weird things. Everyone insisted this was a substack issue, but through anti racism newsletters also being followed and tracked, they have found me and I've now got a load of 'one nation' weirdos on my subscriber list.
