We had what felt like never ending issues with bin collections through other companies, and hadn't heard of ASH Waste until the lovely Matthew knocked on our door - provided us with all the information needed without being at all pushy and helped with the entire move over process.
With us being located on an industrial estate, not having overflowing bins and missed collections is crucial, but felt like a never ending task of chasing other companies in the past. Since moving we have had absolutely no issues, and have recommended to others on our sites, and will continue to.
Matthew has provided consistent support even following the sign up, which I feel is unheard of elsewhere. We couldn't be any happier with the service.
Cant wait to have our other site moved over, and we were more than happy to pay a termination fee to make this happen ASAP!

They were great on day taking my cable and good price.

Absolutely shocking company
Absolutely shocking company. They never pick any of the bins up on the days they say. If they do pick them up they only half empty them or leave the rest all over the road. Sometimes they argue with me on the phone that they have emptied them, even though they are clearly sat full on my drive. I get told my bins have been put out too late, even though they live about 2metres from the gate. The price has gone from £70 a month to over £200 in less than 3 years, and they claim I cannot get out of the contract. Avoid these like the plague

My work bin was collected twice and charged for 4 collection in a month, they are a waste of time, I have a full bin that hasn't been collected and they told me boss they collected 4 times in a month which they are lying about, if they want paying do the job you offered in the first place. We will be cancelling this waste of space company, we seem to be collecting more waste than they collect.

If I could give them less stars I would. Terrible terms and conditions tying you in for years as other people mention unless you jump through hoops to cancel them, constantly increasing prices. Sharp practice. Their bin wagons constantly banging into our gates and not even having the courtesy to tell us, instead we have to find out by searching through our CCTV footage.
Absolutely disgusting way to do business I don’t know how they all sleep at night. I’m sure when Chloe from Ash Waste comments she either won’t be able to find my account or wants me to call their office so they can help. Couldn’t think of anything worse than speaking to one of them on the phone. I really don’t understand who would want to work for them either having heard from a colleague who went to work for them. Safe to say they walked out after their first week. Lucky they weren’t signed into a 36 month contract!!!

Terrible service , numerous price increases
Terrible service with numerous collections missed over the term of the contract. In addition the price increased dramatically from the initial contract terms due to small print in the contract. Avoid this firm at all costs!
Just to provide some more detail we set up the contract with AshWaste in December 2021 with a cost per collection of £9.50 plus VAT. This increased 320% over the period of the contract which terminated in December 2025 where it had reached £30.35 per collection.
During that period there were long periods where the bin was never emptied sometimes 2 months would go by without them emptying the bin leaving us with piles of waste building up.
We tried to exit the contract but were unable to due to the penalties they would charge despite the numerous breaches of the contract conditions form their lack of service.
Thankfully our contract is now at an end but again it is made as difficult as possible to exit even at the end of the term .
We have been in business 25 years and this is the worst service we have ever received from a waste collection company.

Avoid this company at all cost, and don't believe a word they say.
At the point of sell they will give all the best discount you can imagine to lure you in, once you are with them you are screwed.
1. they will start to raise the price with out any conminication, regardless what is written with in the contract, they can always come up with a excusse.
2. if you are not carefull, at the end of you contract term, it will automatically roll on for a futher 36 months, it is with in the small print of there contract.
3. Guess what, to end the contract you will have to send a letter (E-mail apparantelly is not official) to the Head office (that keep changging it location), no earlier than 5 months before the contract ends, but also not latter than 3 months before the contract ends.
4. I would not go in to details about the little things like, missing collection, date changes, invoicing, the so call 'chargeable weigh'.
all and all, I am still stuck in with them but hopefully this review can stop you step in the a trap.

My bin collection was missed
My bin collection was missed, which was frustrating. The initial customer service responses were slow to address the core issue and focused more on explaining the company’s process than solving the problem. I had to follow up multiple times to get a clear resolution plan.
However, once escalated, the situation was handled fairly. Customer Services (Janine) and her manager worked to find a solution: they scheduled a catch-up collection and agreed to waive any excess charges caused by the delay. They also issued a credit for the missed collection once it was confirmed no excess weight was present.
While the start was frustrating, the matter was eventually resolved professionally. My advice to others would be to be clear and persistent if your service is missed. To Ash Waste Services: thank you for eventually making things right—improving first-response clarity would make a big difference.

Predatory contract terms and zero integrity "Terrible experience with the Widnes branch.
They use aggressive 'Personal Liability' clauses and 'Auto-Renewal' traps to lock you in for years. Even after I sent notice through their app and email, they forced a 3-year renewal because I didn't use registered mail. ( I was advised by someone else to give them notice but they didn't know about the small print i.e 3 months notice via registered post) I signed the contract on the reps iPad ( witnessed) as the pin he provided wasn't working. I couldn't see the T&C's only where to sign. I was at no point advised that I'd end up in a situation where I would be personally liable for a debt basically for 3 years!. I literally have only just seen the contract after being with them for a year. It wasn't sent it before signing nor did I have the opportunity to read it prior signing. As it was signed on our premises via the reps iPad, I wasn't given a copy as I would have got out straight away in the cooling period. The business consists of myself and my husband both of us are almost 60 years old. The thought of having this financial commitment is causing me such distress I'm not sleeping - it's definitely had an impact on my mental health as I know I now have to take them to court. It's so stressful.
They offer poor service, miss collections, and hike prices knowing you can’t easily leave. They value fine print over customer service and integrity. Avoid at all costs.". I have provided my details i.e Name. Account number. Telephone number. Email. I have emailed you on numerous occasions.

Do not use
Please do not use if you don't want to be stressed. They take money out of bank when not ment to, charge excess weight and when you try to resolve with staff they try to intimidate. Never missed any payments been with them along time but have nothing but trouble and they won't let you leave.
