Review/Request

I was going to wait a bit longer before posting this but I don't think it can wait now, especially considering every time I look at the Trustpilot score for Animegami it keeps getting worse. Back in 2020 it used to be 4.0+! I also sent a message through the site on 05/06/23 but I don't think I'm going to get a response...

One of my oldest pre-orders, paid for on 13/07/21 (order number AGUK21633) I have had no recent updates about apart from that I might have received this one and a few others back in May. There are also two orders of mine that have been partially fulfilled and I've had no updates on the items that I have not received yet and whenever they might be coming my way. I also have numerous other pre-orders through 2021/2023 that, due to recent inactivity, I'm worried now that if I'll ever receive or not!

Their customer service used to be great and I have written positively about them in the past but considering that others are not hearing anything back regarding their orders, nevermind my own I'm getting increasingly concerned and wondering honestly what has happened with Animegami! What orders I have received in the past they have all been genuine (and packaged very securely!) and if they needed to let you know about something like the box being damaged for example they would.

My review is dated from the last time I heard anything back from customer support. To the staff of Animegami, if anyone is out there I would appreciate a response please even though I know I'm not the only person waiting. If I don't hear back anything until mid July this year I will greatly consider escalating this elsewhere and start seeking refunds starting with my oldest pre-orders. I honestly don't want it to come to that but I feel like I have no choice.

Will update this review if there are any updates!

2nd and last update : Well....that's that then. Going to try to salvage my situation in any way but for anyone who reads this and all the other reviews on here do NOT buy anything from the website as you just won't get it. Whatever has happened behind the scenes has happened and nothing is going to be explained. Going to use multiple websites this time instead of one when I start buying things again.

What a damn shame this has all turned out...

Ordered 3 kotobukiya frame arms kits…

Ordered 3 kotobukiya frame arms kits 1/100 scale in 4th of may and now its 21st of june and still hasn't arrived, have sent them few e-mails and in them most recent one i told them they have time to 14th july or im going to refund, if that doesnt work im going to have to talk first to paypal with i paid with my order if that doesn't work im going to take this even further. Edit: 5th of july 2023 took little over 2 months for them to arrive, never ordering from them again if i dont absolutely have to.

Unable to respond to basic emails…

Unable to respond to basic emails regarding orders, making promises on items they do not keep, overall massive scam, avoid.
If they ever answer my emails order regarding order AGUK33670 ,I will change my rating.

Poorly managed scam it seems

In regard to my order AGEU3602, I ordered a couple things two weeks ago, and have yet to hear any confirmation that they are sending my order to me, despite contacting them twice to try and find out anything from them. One of the items I ordered was removed entirely from the store page, and they have not informed me if they will be shipping it to me or not. I will be trying to have my bank roll back the charges at this point, as this is ridiculous and if I could, I would rate my experience with this company as 0 stars, for not even giving me an answer when asking if they will fill my order.

Order no AGUK25613 placed in Jan 2022…

Order no AGUK25613 placed in Jan 2022 with due date March 2022. June 2023 still not received spent 2 months now trying to get a refund. Customer service do not respond. Scammers, do not waste your money ordering from this company.
I will be escalating and have already started, and will be contacting trading standards as well as other similar offices. The amount I am owed and claiming back will rise considerably as a result. I don.t like to be scammed or see other people scammed.

No resolution…AVOID THIS COMPANY

Again …AGEU 3449 and AGEU 3368

After complaining about these two orders, 1 week ago, I still haven't received any of the items. After the company responded to resolve the issue, nothing else was said, nor was the issue resolved. Both orders contain items in stock that it was agreed to ship, while waiting for the rest for a second shipment. I live in Lisbon and their warehouse is in Porto... are the items in stock really available?

This company has a serious problem, it invests too much in email marketing and digital marketing, but its operating system is chaotic. Marketing is very important to increase the company's sales, but without good management of logistics and operations, the business has no future. I try to avoid going to court, but the company does not seem to be able to resolve the situation.

AVOID!!!

Placed order in January 2022 and still not received it!! We have requested a refund several times but no sign of that either! Tried calling on the number provided on their FB page 02032396466, got cut of 6 times. When I eventually spoke to someone he threatened to call the police if I called him again!! States he has nothing to do with the company but gave me a mobile number to try. Called this, got a man called Kumar. When I asked about my refund his first question was " Are you a Solicitor?" In my opinion there is something very dodgy about this company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Awful experience so far

Pre-ordered a figure at the beginning of June, with 100% forward payment, including international shipping. It was due to be in stock in the middle of the month. Sure enough, it showed up on the website last week, but I've yet to hear anything from the store, besides the initial order confirmation. Wrote an email to support 3 work days ago, nothing but automated replies so far. The figure was supposed to be a birthday present, and now I'm not sure it will arrive in time, if at all. Order number is AGEU3610.
Will update the review if something changes.

Horrible experience.

AUGUST 15, 2023: COMPANY HAS FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. Biggest waste of 2 years and money I’ve ever experienced for Tomie.

Please avoid this company. They have nice products, but the service is awful. For the almost $500 spent, I expected better service. Especially for the $85 shipping that hasn’t been dispatched after 15 days.

I ordered my Tomie Exclusive version when it was announced and I’ve ordered many statues before. I understand and was 100% ok with the delays. Even if the wait became tiring.

The customer service and dispatch time was the last straw for me however.

My shipping invoice was having issues and was resent on June 5th. I paid for it immediately. It still hasn’t been sent out despite them saying 2 days dispatch time.

It’s already June 20 and customer support has yet to contact me and my order has yet to ship! Many people have gotten their orders and mine was also in the USA invoice timeframe.

I’ve been polite about the whole issue, but I’m exhausted now. I don’t think I’ll be returning to this company due to the stress and management there.

(I also did not like the fact I couldn’t choose or see what shipping method was being used or what I was paying $80 for. I also didn’t like that the shipping invoice had a 5 day limit and it was having issues for 3/5 days. Extremely frustrating.)

UPDATE: June 27th and still nothing. If another month goes by, I will be doing more.
If this bad service continues with Animegami, they need to fix themselves or reconsider future projects for the other Junji Ito statue or any of their personal products. In 10 years of collecting I’ve never experienced this. Even an email stating their issues that they’re busy would be helpful! But there is nothing.

Update: July 15 and ongoing

FINAL UPDATE: I finally gave up and I’m working with Partial.ly to help refund my $485. It’s now August 14. Never got my order or reply from Animegami.

They are willing to help refund me and are currently working on it. I’m grateful to them.

Avoid avoid avoid!

Disappointed that I bought from a .co.uk website with a UK flag prominently on the site and it turns out to be run remotely from overseas. They have no premises in either UK or Portugal so they appear to be a ghost company. They must surely exist somewhere if they are going to send my order unless they are trying to just take money and hide from customers! There is no way to contact them apart from emails that are ignored or a phone no. that noone ever answers. I do not expect to ever recieve my order and my requests for a full refund are being ignored. I will have to seek a chargeback through my bank. Shame on whoever is responsible for running this shoddy excuse for a "company".

I’ve preordered three figures last…

I’ve preordered three figures last year, been waiting for a notification of where they are as everyone has there figures now. Been ringing the number provided by a member of the Facebook group as they were not happy ever with the customer service. Have been email constantly and messaged the owner on linked asking for refund. Have been told for a month and put off of getting my refund. I’m past the point of anything, will be contacting my credit card provider and going through them to get my money back now. Don’t use the company, service is terrible and over priced.

This review is about the orders with numbers: AGEU2974 AGEU3035 AGEU3343 AGEU3527. I sent another inquiry to cancel this orders because i need the money and this support is not even answering and they dont refund my money. ZERO RESPECT FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS.Also i made an inquiry about another order in another review( AGEU3514) and they still have not asnwered or refunded my money after 2 weeks. Terrible support and zero professionalism from a company that claims to be one of the best european shops for anime figures. Just unacceptable. As i said before if you want to improve yourselves refund your customers orders and answer to their inquiry's faster. UPDATE: They answered after 5-6 inquiry's like 2 weeks ago but they still have not processed my refunds probably i will have to send another inquiry. Maybe i will change this review if they refund my money.Terrible customer support to say the least

Want to Cancel an Order but I haven't been Contacted Yet!

I want to cancel my order and I sent a request for cancellation on the same day I made the order. I was sent automated emails telling me that my ticket was opened, but then there was no follow-up email from actual Customer Support. I tried sending a reminder, another automated email. Today I sent another ticket and guess what? Another automated email.

I just want to cancel this order because they have a 14 day policy for cancellations, and I don't want to end up with an order that I do not want.

I understand if they are short on staff, but cancellations with time limits are pressing matters, and it's just feeling as if they're waiting for the 14 days to be up so that then I wouldn't be able to cancel the order.

Waiting for a refund on a pre order that never came into stock

I made a pre order last year that I have been waiting for. I was last contacted in September 2022 to inform me it would be delayed. Fast forward to June 2023 and I haven't heard anything else. When checking on the store, the item in question is no longer listed as available. I have contacted the site twice over the last week in regards to a refund, but no one has answered me yet. I have also found the item elsewhere and manged to order and have it delivered within two days.

Be wary

"In stock item" has not been shipped for over a month. After waiting additional days after the promised "shipment within 15 working days", I decided to contact customer service, but I have not received an answer on my query I made over a week ago now. Seems to be no communication/updates on order status. Just a real shame. I'll gladly update this review in the future if the situation changes, but so far so bad.

EDIT: Customer service picked up my inquiry and it was subsequently resolved and the item got delivered after some days. It's a shame it took so much longer than originally stated to arrive (i.e. months instead of 15 working days), because the products themselves are really good.

No replies on emails, phone on hold with no answer and items tajen down from store but not refunded

The first figure I ordered arrived perfectly with no problems, because of that throughout the year I placed more pre-orders, however recently I lost my job and have no choice but to cancel them as I need the refund money ASAP, sadly not only have I not received a reply to my email, was on the phone for 2 hours on old and never got an answer (the music on old was so high pitched that it gave me an headache) and lastly I noticed that 3 of my pre-orders had long been removed from the store page and I never got notified or refunded for them.

Edit:
I have received a reply on my email after 19 days offering to refund me, now I will wait and see if it goes smoothly.

Edit 2: It's the end of august and they never got back to me, piece of advice to everyone here: make your purchases to any online store of any kind with credit card instead of debit so that at least your bank can come to the rescue if things go south

Disastrous customer service

I pre-ordered a Jurassic Park statue (costing nearly £900) early May that was listed on this site as due "mid-May". On 16 May I contacted them to ask for an update on the expected delivery. They finally responded on 25 May with "Allow us to check it with our supplier, and we will get back to you as soon as possible." So it took them 10 days to respond with essentially nothing - this is a holding response to send in the first 24 hours to reassure the customer they have received your query - not a full 10 days later. By June 7, the statue was removed from their site altogether and I still hadn't received any information so asked them to respond with an update in the following 24 hours as I was "growing highly concerned" that my money has been taken with no update on delivery (that, again, was due mid-May). Again, no response as of writing this on 10 June.

There is no phone number or other contact details so I have no way of contacting this business and now feel that my money has been stolen - or at the very least, that they have complete contempt for their customers.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

I pre-ordered a couple of nendoroids from Animegami back in February and I never received any updates so I reached out to ask for a refund as I wasn’t prepared to wait. The first time they got back to me really quickly and offered me a refund but I never received it💀 I reached out two more times asking for a refund and they never got back to me! It took me over a MONTH to get my refund because luckily enough I got PayPal to step in and help. But if I hadn’t of paid with PayPal I don’t think I would’ve ever gotten my refund. DON’T BUY FROM THEM PLEASE. Other anime stores like DekaiAnime are WAY WAY better!

Scammers!

Wanted to give all an update; this company is a massive scam. They have items in stock but then don’t. They keep telling me to wait and telling me that they’re on it but it has been going on for literally months now.

I have contacted my bank to get a refund because its clear this company won’t do it themselves. Just check out the competitors.

Just to paint a picture: I ordered what i had originally ordered from them from a shop in Japan and it already has been delivered. While I’m still waiting on a response from their support team.

Please avoid at all costs!
