spent several hours at store combined still no glassess
10 minute exam great. 1 1/2 hours to enter the paperwork into the system so I can buy glasses.Next day walk in to pay for said glasses. Price is higher then the nightbefore. Spend another 30 minutes and they cannot get the order in. Maybe if I speak to the manager they can figure it out in the morning. Lack of knowledge of your system. No organization. Lack of leadership present. Clearly have a bad reputation already
Employees need to know and relate charges ahead of time
The only reason I give it any stars is the staff if friendly. I called and asked if they did diabetic eye exams. When they asked for insurance cards, I provided Medicare and my Aetna supplement.. Nobody told me ubtil later when I called that they dont take medicare. I ended up being charged $55.00. Had I known that ahead of time , I would not have had it done. I have had eye exams for glasses (free with purchase) twice before but not annual exams.I will probably buy my glasses elsewhere.

I had one of the worst experiences I have ever had in their establishment yesterday. Their technician (KIANA) was incredibly rude to me. She did not greet me when I walked in the room, she did not make eye contact, she acted like she was angry with me the entire time, and she did not explain the process to me at all. She then proceeded to become frustrated when I did not know what to do next. I find all of this very disturbing. She seems ill equipped to work with the public. I can't imagine they want that type of attitude representing their business? I am a business owner myself. I found all of this so disrespectful and rude.

Me and the wife got progressive glasses but they didn't work for us so we drove 1 hour to change then to regular glasses we were told they can take the glasses but can't send them in or give a refund with out a manager they said the manager will call mon no call so I called them they said there busy and would call back no call so I called next day they were very rude no sorry about that just call and ask if a manager is there once they got your money customer service go's out the door. To make a better business is easy treat people right you say your going to call back call back when a customer is upset be kind and understand simple. This store is in palm springs

I am very impressed with Americas Best at 1025 S Sutton Road, Streamwood, IL 60103. The place has people that are very friendly, and the place is nice, and clean glasses are arranged well on the wall. I've been to another location before; it’s a big difference. They got my glasses right. At first I panic that there is something wrong with the glasses. Suddenly I was approached by Samantha, the manager, who is very friendly. She went and adjust my glasses so I could see well, and she did it!. She has awesome customer service. I left the place with a smile. I would recommend others to go to this location. I guarantee you like me you will leave with a smile.

You got my money this time but never again. Exams are not included anymore. Prices never was matched on the wall and will be going to other places for my glasses . $400 for 1 glasses and never was upfront with prices. If I knew they had to order online I would have just ordered my stuff online myself. They did take $70 off the supposedly free exam but excluded the 2 for 150 deal charging 213 for one pair plus $80 for lenses. Ya 330 should have never happened will never come back

If I could give 1/8 a star, I would. After buying and returning three pairs of progressive glasses manufactured or measured incorrectly and the employees acted as I were putting them out. Getting my eyes rechecked, I found out that the factory is making what appears to be more than the average amount of mistakes. Corporate, when I called, said my progressive lenses were only 1 mm off! Please, progressive glasses need to be exact.
Poinciana FL - expect bad quality, bad service
Came in on 8/7/24 for an eye exam and glasses. No problem so far. Then picked out 3 pair of glasses. Was told I’d have them in about 2 weeks. Called 8/24 and apparently 1 pair had scratched lens so they had to be remade. Called again on 9/7 and they said glasses were here (but never called me!). It was late on Saturday and it had been a MONTH since I ordered them so I decided to go pick them up on Sunday. I called first to make sure they were open. Message said they were open from 9am to 5pm. Drove all the ways there and they are CLOSED on Sundays! So their message is wrong. Drove back again on Monday and they initially could only find 2 of the 3 pair. Manager searched and found 3rd pr. But 2 of the 3 pair were not made correctly. Couldn’t see for reading! Apparently they had mis-measured for the progressives. So they had to start all over. And I’m guessing another 2-3 week wait! I asked manager for a discount for all my trouble. Best he could do? Add an antiglare option or slightly better version of progressives on ONE of the 3 incorrectly made glasses. Just one. I paid $200 for the glasses. This “upgrade” on 1 of the 3 pair (all having to be remade due to their mistakes) probably cost them $1.00. Manager said that was “best he could offer” for the more than month delay plus all 3 pairs being made incorrectly.
Prior to visiting the America Best Poinciana, FL location, I never would have written such a negative review. But given all the issues and lack of adequate compensation for all the issues, I’ll never go back. Never.

I went to Americas Best on August 30,2024. I had insurance up to 300,00 to pay on glasses, it was like I was punished for having the insurance. I had to pay 30.00 for the FREE eye exam. I picked out a pair of glassed that was 139.50 and I expected to have to pay a little out of pocket but had to pay the whole amount. When I asked about the 2nd pair of glasses she told me I could only get it but it would be 40 percent off for the 2nd FREE pair. I told her I guess I should have not told you I have insurance, she smiled and said kind of. If you go there expect to pay full price on the glasses you picked out and the FREE eye exam. This place in Hancock Center will rip you off.
America's best in Canton please avoid
America's best in Canton, GA is administratively the absolute worst business I have ever stepped foot in. The eye doctor there is phenomenal, however, the supporting front office staff is incompetent, not trained, nowhere close to being professional and works extremely hard at ignoring customers. I had an eye exam that went well, when I had to come back for two other trial contacts to get my vision correct, the whole world turned upside down with their four-member staff. They couldn't figure out which contacts were the trial pair, they gave me the wrong prescription, and it took 3 and a half weeks to get two contacts for the last trial pair I tried on...and on and on. How that location stays in business is beyond my comprehension. Save yourself time, aggravation and money and go elsewhere.

(Moline, IL store) Great service! I was greeted upon walking in. No sales pressure. They were very accommodating; got me in way ahead of my scheduled appointment (that gal also did my pre-tests and she did not pressure me or make me feel badly about choosing not to do the "extra" tests). The Dr. was personable, and answered any question I had. Then, the gal who helped me choose glasses, sat down with me and fitted me (Dawn), was super to work with and very personable. I also was impressed that they do a "double check" on measurement for bifocals. After she measured for line, she had the testing gal double check, and they were in agreement. Finally, I was Blessed with such a great deal on glasses (a nice selection for the 2 for deals and found great frames)! I recommend!
I thought I had a bad experience
I thought I had a bad experience. Looking over the reviews shows it is like a virus. The Tarpon Springs, Florida store just did a third adjustment on the same pair of glasses. Still not right and email contact to America’s Best, have been ignored. Apparently, nobody cares. DO NOT CONSIDER THIS COMPANY!!! Get your glasses almost anywhere else.

Worst Customer Service
If the employees and manager just stare at you when walk in and don't offer to help. If they tell you you are not allowed to sit in an empty station you don't go back. There was one young girl who came to help me, Thank you. The old women just stared. I regret buying eyeglasses from this business.
Awesome Experience
Everyone from start to finish were professional, very helpful, and very nice. I had my appointment at the new Chambersburg Pa store and the employees Tammy, Jessica, Sam, Danni, Mina were all terrific. Very pleasant experience.
Bad Customer Service
Went in to get contact/eye exam. After exam went looking at glasses. Was ignored for 30 minutes. Other customers were asked if they needed help. No one asked if I was ready to checkout for the contact exam. Then finally I was asked if I was getting glasses. At that point no. About to leave and forgot I had to check out. Still had to wait. I was informed that my trial contacts would be in about a week and that I would be contacted to come in for the fitting, which was $40 not covered by insurance. I did not receive a phone call. I get a text survey about how my fitting went. Never even got the contacts. Its been weeks. A month goes by and still nothing. I had to go in and myself. The person was like yep they are here. WOW, it been a month and no lets go and try them on to make sure all is well. Then had the nerve to ask if I wanted the bag it came in. Why wouldn't I. Never again, paid for a fitting that I never received. bad business.
Best Location for help with Glasses
My husband has been trying to have a pair of glasses adjusted for months now. No one has been able to help. We stopped at our favorite America's best in Menifee on Haun Road. One of the sale associates, may have been the manager not only took care of his issue but improved his glass frames as well. He loves them now.
Pass, do not waste your time here
I saw the advert on tv a few months back and thought I should give them a try.
After x8 return visits ( Gratiot, MI location) and assessments & doing the last one old school not by computer I finally got the lens I needed.
This also came at an additional cost.
They permanently damaged the lens of my original reading spectacles in the centre (it’s now rippled) that was completed in the UK through Specsavers. The quality of work done here hey, i can’t even compare.
Say what you want about the name, but at the time the specs I walked away from via Specsavers (in UK) gave me HD Vision compared to that of America Best.
So my opinion, if you are in need of an annual test or lens upgrades, go somewhere else, do. It stop here.
The idea of HD or Chrystal clear Vision to them is unheard of.
I’d definitely skip over if you are googling where to go.
An unequivocal waste of time.
My wife scheduled an eye exam with this company and experienced a highly frustrating series of communications. Despite confirming her appointment through multiple emails and calls (approximately 7 or 8 times), she received an excessive number of requests to reconfirm it. Additionally, she completed the required forms sent via email prior to her visit.
Two days ago, yet another call was made, which went to voicemail, ambiguously stating her appointment was cancelled due to lack of confirmation. She immediately contacted the company to rectify the situation, and the appointment was reconfirmed. However, today, July 3rd, 2024, we were informed that the appointment was moved to another day without any prior notice.
This entire experience reflects a serious lack of professionalism and respect for the patient’s time. We will not be engaging with this company again and strongly recommend seeking eye care services elsewhere. This has been an unequivocal waste of time.
