American Senior has the best of the best in loan officer David Hernandez. With decades of experience, he knows the reverse mortgage business like the back of his hand. Because of that, he put me on a fast track to securing a mortgage with highly beneficial terms tailored to my circumstances.

During our first telephone conversation, David gathered more information about me and my needs than any other loan officers from highly regarded companies. That was impressive.

Instilling confidence, David quickly became the loan officer I would rely on to get me a reverse mortgage. Besides being knowledgeable, David is understanding and highly communicative. Personable and patient, too.

David is among only a handful of the absolute best individuals I have worked with over the years, both professional and personal. He is a standout.

David Hernandez was always there when I needed an answer to tell me what was going . Helped me along the way through every step of the process. He always respond back to my text or my phone calls in a very timely manner. David was very courteous, kind and very respectful to everything that was going on with me in my situation.

We had great experience from beginning to end. RH was great with following up because we had some medical issues to deal with as we were applying for this. He was patient with our schedule throughout this process.

It was easy working with High Tech through the process of getting an equity loan. Any question I had was answered professionally and with integrity. In a day and age customer service is out the window, I truly appreciate all who where involed to finalize my loan. To be totally honest, David Hernandez, my Loan Officer, was a real blessing in the midst of a stressful process . He was a great help and calming influence when I really needed help getting to the finish line. He was able to deal directly with every other entity involved when I got frustrated with all their forms and requirements.I probably wouldn’t have gone with American Senior if it wasn’t for him. He even answered my calls and many questions when he was in the hospital taking care of his mother. I will highly recommend him to anyone looking for or needing a reverse mortgage. He was outstanding compared to the three other loan officers I was working with. Thank you for assigning him to my case.

I was at a point in my life where I found myself drawing from my investments more than intended when I went on Social Security. Seemed everything is getting more expensive and I started looking into leveraging my home equity I have built up. This lead me to a HECM line of credit with American Senior. They went over various options and truly wanted to know what were my goals in retirement. I found them very forthcoming with my options, short term, long term goals and my well being. They were very transparent on all the steps and processes of the HECM buyoff. I felt very comfortable with Richard and Dawn and they helped move the process along. They covered with me all the details and points that would be covered in the mandatory counseling session and there were no surprises. We were able to close within 29 days when they estimated 30.

My experience with American Senior has been wonderful. David Hernandez has been extremely wonderful in helping through this process. I am not a cell phone or a computer person and if it wasn't for Mr. Hernandez being so patient and walking me through these things I would have never been able to complete my loan. Greetings... First a little background on us. Scott leased the family farm at the age of 21 and was self employed for 50 years. Lupe started working for a local bank at the age of 21 as a teller and worked her way up the ladder to Operations Manager and a Vice President.

A Reverse Mortgage was not on our Bingo card. But after a couple health issues, we decided to check into it. We were a bit stressed out. Luckily, we connected with David Hernandez at American Senior. He gave us all the information we needed to know to start down the path. This flow of information never stopped. David was with us every step keeping us informed of the status and what would be next. It was a very positive experience for us from beginning to end.

We have always advised our 3 kids to find a career that they really enjoy because they will be much better at it. My point is I think David Hernandez really likes his job and it shows in the effort he puts into it.

We first looked into a reverse mortgage with Alex Dickson at American Senior early in 2025 but the numbers weren't where we wanted them. Alex stayed in touch with us and by May 2025, things were looking better and we ended up getting the reverse mortgage with more money back to us than we originally expected. It included the payoff of a HELOC that had a fairly high interest rate. The result was a huge improvement in our financial status five years into my retirement! Alex and American Senior were friendly, helpful, and made the whole process an easy one.

We first encountered David Hernandez as we finding out the information we needed to know before making a decision. American Senior was the 4th company we contacted. David answered all our questions, which were many, and always seemed glad to help. He kept us up to date on all aspects and documentation needed for the loan.
