I have been waiting 6 months for them to straighten out a problem. Their company should have been in touch with KDP to apply the monies I had earned so far. They never did this. That means any monies due me I will not get because the original problem was not resolved. Extremely bad service. Not professional. Also my E mails to all three original contacts keep returning to me; indicating those people are not even there any longer. A lesson learned by me.

NO! Do NOT USE THEM! They will tell you everything you want to hear, but they do not follow through. I had two books, one was published at my pestering 1.5 months later than my contract, and the other never got published. Project managers did not respond, book covers crappy with 0 vision, I paid for 1 month of marketing and that never happened. They try to upsell you all kinds of things. Stay away, seriously. Note, they also go by: Project Camp and Amazon Publisher Hub.

Run, don’t walk away. Credit card-wise, this seems to be a DANGEROUS BUSINESS.

American Book Service claims to have no connection to this company. It gives no legal rights to use the American Book Service name unless it tries to dodge its responsibilities. I entered a book publishing deal with the company mentioned above. This company has no experience and maybe experimenting with publishing or looking for a quick buck. I had to correct many mistakes this so-called company made. I finally gave up and demanded a full refund, and I am waiting for it. Anyone who uses a name from another legal name without their permission is encroaching on their rights as a person or business. This business admitted that it does not edit books.
This operation is based in India, which should raise a big RED FLAG. India may be a beautiful place to visit, but the government does nothing about scamming professionals in that country. Being a third-world country does not give rights to crime.

I gave the rating a 4.0, although if I could I would rate them a 4.5. The overall team consisting of me, my project manager (Jenika) and her team, were pretty much cohesive and overall worked well together.
Jenika did a good job at listing to my detailed instructions and making sure her team responded effectively. I would use ABS again if I needed a service like that.

Peter Brown provided exceptional guidance throughout the formatting and publishing process.

First I would like to congratulate my manager Jessica Parker for her hard work and patience in order to publish my book A Master of Inspiration. She responded promptly to every request I suggested and I was very hapoy. She was friendly, patient and truly interested in high quality. A real professional approach. I hope we will publish at least one more book together. Also I am pleased about the company, was a great team ready to fix any problem and the result was a book with a strong message. I learned myself so much as an artist and not born English speaker so I am proud for that. Thank you.

BEWARE!! This company is a scam. It was called Amazon Smart Publishing when they scammed me.

Aaron, at American Book Services contacted me and said he was from “Amazon Smart Publishing” the week before I published this. That’s what set me off. Still lying.

My book “Our Secret Circle” was recently removed from the website of American Book Services after this review. I have never been associated with them, as they were Amazon Smart Publishing during my dealings with them.

My book instagram has about 12 likes and views and they were showing it on the website of ABS as 15,483 views.

I paid thousands for what I thought was a good publisher, but half of what they promised, I didn't get. Very poor quality. I was promised an edited book, audio book, marketing campaign, quality website, press releases, and guaranteed organic followers.

The website was so bad that I had to physically go through every page for days and write the mistakes that needed correcting. I ending up saying forget it. I'll do my own website.

They ran my manuscript through a google doc or AI editor, and it was so bad every time they sent it back I was shocked. Basic punctuation was wrong throughout the book.

In the end, they asked me to make a KDP account, and my book was published through kindle direct publishing from an account I made. Biggest regret of 2023!!! Jeff's email (My dedicated account manager) was no longer in service, and Amazon Smart Publishing renamed itself to something before becoming American book Services.

When my book "Our Secret Circle" was published, it said published by "Native Publishers" which I had never heard of. Altogether these guys are true crooks with a silver tongue.
